  1. Have you ever been playing Niche just fine, then hatched ONLY males or ONLY females and totally ruined your run? Well, it happens to me—all the time. I’ve had up to 5 females born in a row without any males! After which, my male critters go extinct, and then my whole pack goes extinct. It’s no fun. I think a hidden game modifier that balances the number of male and female animals in your pack would solve this. The code would read if you have an overly unequal number of females and males, and correct it by having the next animal born be of the minority gender. Or, a way for the player effect the chances of getting male or female animals would solve this problem, too.
  2. This suggestion would apply to sandbox mode. The idea would be that when you start out the game, you can turn off certain traits. For example, you could turn off negative traits such as the derp face, no paw or short-sighted eyes, that way you can play the game without fighting these negative traits the entire time. It bothers me when I play the game, and I spend the entire time trying to make my animals not all look really ugly or incapable of seeing far enough to do anything. Or, you could turn off all traits exept for, say, yellow eyes, and then have that be your clan’s “trademark”. Maybe, you could turn on certain modes, too, which would make selects like “aquatic” or “arctic” with the traits from those areas avaliable. It would make the game easier, but I think it would also make surviving a lot more fun.
