Just happened to me. We're you able to fix it?

Happened to me on my ps5 as well. Have any of you found a way to resolve this issue?

Alright, update time! I got scared of the jungle and moved to an easier island instead. From there I took some time to prepare for the jungle. I bred in some jungle genes and split them into two groups - one living in water and one on land. When I had most of the genes I wanted bred in I moved to the jungle island. So far I've been doing great on that island. I believe I have around 1000 food. I did run into an issue in the underwater group. First I somehow managed to breed out like every other immunity gene besides I and C. I think I have like one creature with home island immunity. Then while I was more focused on the land group, I lost all my females in the underwater group. My last female had two sons before dying from having two I immunity genes 😭. I think the next island I'm headed to is another snowy mountain, so I will start breeding in some genes that will help me there. I might combine the underwater group and the land group.

(This is my first post in the forums. Please be nice.) I've been dreaming about the day I finally get Niche for like 7 years. I absolutely love this game because genetics is one of my interests and so is breeding animals. I couldn't get it on my computer, so for years I just spent hours of my day watching playthroughs on YouTube 🥲. But I got a PS5 now and guess what?? I finally got Niche!!!! So let me tell you how it's going. I'm playing in story mode right now. Everything was going great until I traveled to a swamp island. There were barely any sources of food and those bugs kept attacking. I left that island as soon as possible, but I lost most of my food there. The next island had a lot of jungle and not many berry bushes or bunnies. Only a few could fish and almost none could pick berries. I thought it was the end for me, but I somehow managed to survive with 4 creatures. I left that island and went to a much nicer grass/savannah island. There were a bunch of rouge males there though. I was able to get a lot of food again and prepare for the next island better. So now I'm on a snowy mountain and everything's going great again. I have a lot of the bearyena genes and I'm getting the heat body in there as well. Food is not hard to find at all. I think the balance bear alone gave me like 30 food. The next island looks to be a jungle and tbh I'm kinda scared, so any tips for surviving in the jungle are much appreciated. So yeah, that's how it's going. Should I write updates?
