  1. I have a tribe of creatures with all genes in the mutation menu unlocked, would anyone like if I shared the save file? Currently the tribe is just a bunch of dalmations since I was doing the 101 dalmations challenge, they have a whole load of food, I believe around 1800, more or less. They're fairly healthy all with normal eyesight, normal blood clotting and high fertility. This save file is in the first slot, so would anybody be interested if I shared the save file?

  2. I always thought it would be nice if the water on winter islands would freeze over when it gets too cold. Land nichelings would be able to walk over the ice, and possibly get a speed bonus due to sliding?? Any creature underwater will get stuck and have to break an ice tile in order to get back out.

yea, but again, is it worth the work for the devs? the game is done and now they are adding the things they promised and the things the people wanted most

Good point. I wouldn't want to make the devs do too much extra work just for mernichelings.

mermaids would be cool but dangerous, what if it is your inactive traits? and it appears? on an island like the burning savanna, there is no water there apart from the ocean, and you can't swim there

That is why I had said that a mermaid tail would have to give 1+ speed so creatures are guaranteed to actually be able to move. A creature who could not move on land sounds horrifying, I definitely would not want that to happen.

    Ok, thanks I'll check.
Rogue Males and Bearyenas should both not give Scorpion Tail ^^

I always get random tail genes from bearyenas? Is that supposed to happen? Would be nice if they gave a unique gene, maybe having no tail at all?

  6. I understand the struggle. I had something similar to that happen but with saber fangs being what I couldn't find. Except my downfall was, I began to lose all the immunity genes I had collected, and I had to resort to breeding with a wanderer who had quite a few water genes. The water genes stuck around and I couldn't get rid of the webbed hind legs. The waterbody was annoying because I wanted the big body for strength. And the wanderer's velvet paws stuck around, so we were weak and slow. I brought them back to a snowy island, I had bred the creatures so much in order to try to bring back what they had once been, but no luck. That caused them to drain all of the food. My creatures all died of starvation, balance bears and bearyenas, only one baby survived. I moved him to another island. I decided to delete the world after that. No more trying to find the prehistoric genes for me.

  7. Okay, i've had a creature with saberfangs and inactive beak, it seems strange as saberfangs is a prehistoric gene. Some other stranges things that have happened, are the prehistoric snouts being active over the bearyena snout, while sometime the poison fangs will be inactive with bearyena snout. It just seemed rather strange to me.

  8. If this is added, it would be nice if the ramfox would sometimes pick up whatever it kills and dropped it next to the nearest tribe member, since they do hunt as packs, they probably would share some food with their new pack.

  9. I for some reason think it would be really nice if you could occasionally find a ramfox pup and take it in after it's pack is dead. You would be able to breed with it and have it hunt food for you. The genes I think it would give will be listed below.

    -Ram horns

-Fox ears (3+hearing, just for looks)

    -Normal eyesight

    -Fox jaw (1+strength, 2+smelling)

    -Fluffy body (3+cold resistence, 1+speed, 1+strength)

    -Hunting claws (1+speed, 1+strength)

    -Normal hindlegs

    -Fluffy tail

    -White fur

    -Black eyes

    -Gray or white horns

    -White pattern

    -No pattern

    -Random pattern density and size

    -Normal blood clotting

    -High or normal fertility

-Some random immunity genes? Or possibly one unique to the ramfoxes known as ramfox immunity?

Oh well. Just felt like putting this idea out here.

  10. It would be nice if instead of poison, it could paralyze whatever it spat on for a few days. Making it easier to kill. I would be thrilled if it was added like that so I can make walrus deer stay still for at least a little bit.

  11. When I start my tribe off, I have the starting creatures breed at least until there's children compatible with each other. If no wanderers arrive before the starting creatures are dead, i'll breed the compatible children together. Sometimes i'll do risky pairing just for the sake of the story, though I don't really mind having a few sickly nichelings around as long as I keep them away from the others.

When moving to new islands with 10 spaces, I decide 5 nichelings and then mates for them. Often if there's some genes I want to keep, i'll decide to pick one to represent each of those genes. I'll write down the genes and write down the names of those that carry it, and then look at them in the family tree to decide who would be the best to go.

Even when i'm not planning on going anywhere where these genes will be too useful, I often accidentally focus on breeding in the stinky tail and big ears because those are some of my favourite genes. Once I was preparing for a snow island and I realize too late that I accidentally bred in those genes.

  12. It always looks so strange when the babies come out with the horns, so I thought it would be idea if the horns would grow as they age. Newborns would have no horns, babies with 1 gem would have little stubs. Ones with 2 gems would just have a smaller version of the horns than the adults? Once they become adults their horns would be fully grown.

  13. I was thinking about if there was a challenge mode in niche, where you could choose things such as only having a certain amount of creature, or blind genetics. Maybe possibly a weekly chosen challenge as well? It would be nice if for this you could have a friendlist on niche, not for multiplayer but to have a high score board to see who can do the best in the challenge. Possibly if a friendlist is added you'd have to add people with the username of their steam account? If this is added, it could be fun if you could also share your save files and favourite creatures with friends.

    Yes, this is intentional :)
The idea is that wings are an ancient gene. The gene went exstinct (with the exception of animals on Whale Island, where wings are quite common).
Sometimes Nichelings fly away from Whale Island, so you have a very low chance of meeting a wanderer with wings ^^

So it seems like the winged creatures are endangered instead of extinct?
