The simplest implementation would simply be to make the player's drone on the left reddish (as if heated) and the opponents drone on the right bluish (as if chilled). That way as parts are flying around the arena, it would be easier to track which part belongs to who.
Alternately, it could be cool to have each player choose a color for their drones, and have their sumo drones tinted that color (if not all of their drones, including those that visit planets). This could be annoying, though, if both sumo drones' designers chose the same color.
Additionally to either option, it might be neat to allow players to design heraldry that could be displayed on their CPU's.
