I AM PROUD OF THIS

Recommended Posts

So I am writing/Typing a book where there's RUSSIAN DIALOGUE! So thoughts and when someone is speaking is in Engish-Russian. There are the translations of course.

Here's what I have;

Chapter 1

    The maine coon female bounced through the snow, her siblings trailing behind.

    “Anastasiya, u menya lapki bolyat ot snega! (Anastasia, my paws hurt from the snow!)” Her sibling called behind her.

    “A znayu, kroshka katya. (I know, Lil' Katya)” Anastasia told Katya over her shoulder, “YA vizhu derevo, gde my mozhem ukryt'sya. (I see a tree were we can shelter.)

    Anastasia lead her siblings to the tree she saw, when they curled up in the roots, she curled up on the outside of them. The wind sent snow across the landscape, Anastasia watched her siblings sleep before resting her head, Pozhaluysta, dayte zavtra solnechnym lucham siyat' na snegu. (Please let tomorrow have the sun rays shine on the snow.)

***

    Anastasia opened her eyes to her little brother, Shasha, pushing her face.

    “Eto tesno! (It’s cramped!)” He mewed.

    Anastasia looked at the sky, no clouds or blizzard. She stood up and bounced into the open.
