"That's cool! You have a karmaic power scale too? One that, when you reach the top, all suffering becomes futile because you've achieved complete peace? I don't really need this fancy rock either, that's just when I can't sleep. When I can, all I need to do is sleep and this happens automatically."

*He chuckles, his eyes watching Monk.* "Watching you, though I can do something similar without need for fancy lettering." 

He walks up to this oddly carved rock. A circle, with an X inside of it. (This, except it's an X and not a T) The Circle and its X glows. Monk's eyes begin to glow. He floats up just a little bit. Above him are rapidly changing symbols. Upon closer observation, you see them one by one. ανάληψη. Ascension. This goes on for 3 minutes, before he falls back down. Monk's Karma has increased. Monk: "Whoooh! Man, karma increase really takes something out of a slugcat!" he turns around to go back, and sees you. Monk: "..." Monk nervously giggles. "W-What're you doin' here?"  

*Storm unknowingly follows behind him.*
