they are so cute <3 and we definetly need more life in the water

I think for the body the normal Water Body would suffice, no need to go through all the work to make a new one

The reason I wanted the Orcolf Body to be separate from the usual Water Body is because of the resistances brought on by the orca inspiration- that being a resistance to cold and some defense in exchange for not actually allowing water breathing.

    They are adorable, lol.
I think they should be found on cold islands, since orcas live in those (wolves too).

Good idea! I added cold resistance, but I didn't even think about having them spawn on cold islands xD Derp!

  3. I like the "becoming aggressive" idea; let's go with that! ^u^ Also I do understand that this would make the game a LOT harder, so I'm perfectly fine with LL's only appearing on Hard Islands and above, for that added challenge. Maybe they'd still have a low spawn-rate even on Hard islands, so that once you get to the Killer Islands they'll have just as high a spawn rate as RM's and be a bigger challenge.

  4. From "Lion" and "Cheetah", this stealthy speedster of a predator is native to the Savannah and Oasis biomes. And maybe Grass Mingle? Eh, I'll let the devs choose if they decide they want this predator in the game xD

    Liotah.png.da27fd3ecfede92f6587ab3c453a7afe.png

The Liotah is an agile hunter; it might not be as powerful as some, but it can move every three turns, rather than only once a day like other predators. Liotahs are solitary creatures, like Bearyenas, so you only ever have to deal with one at a time- unless you're super unlucky and more than one spawns nearby. In that case, sorry for your luck xD However, also like Bearyenas, a Liotah Cub will occasionally spawn next to their mother, and you can make it friendly by killing the mom and feeding the cub. Once the cub is an adult, you can breed with it and get these stats:

Liotah Snout: +1 Strength, +2 Smelling, +Purring [instead of the 'sideburns' on normal male niche heads, this head has top and back of head 'mane']
Liotah Body: +3 Speed, +2 Heat Resistance [the long brown fluff 'mane' on the chest and back is for males]
    Liotah Tail: +1 Speed
Liotah Legs: +2 Speed, +1 Strength, +1 Swimming
Liotah Hind Legs: +2 Speed, +1 Strength, +1 Swimming
Sharp Eyes: +3 Sight. [They're solid colors with a black slit pupil]
    Yellow Fur Color
    No Pattern or Pattern Color

Disclaimer: The original Liotah idea belongs to mah buddeh RedKnight!

Nice idea! But....uh....it seems extremely invasive lol.
I can find myself getting annoyed super quickly with them when they start stealing my nests and babies, especially if they're as common as rogue males are. (Aww man, then the island would begin to be overun with rouges if unchecked wouldn't it?)
What would make a baby unattended? As in an adult isn't in the adjacent tile?
You should be able to get your baby back immediately after she steals it away, since I find it weird that the babies would be A-OK with leaving their tribe forever to be raised by a complete stranger xD
Maybe if an adult is around the baby it can't be stolen, regardless if a lonely lady approaches them, that seems like the most fair route. I mean, stranger danger man.

Unattended is the same rules that apply to Bluebirds; the baby doesn't have a nicheling of two gems or older in an adjacent tile. If they are attended, they can't be taken away. If they are stolen and you want them back, as I said in my post, they can be taken back if you kill the thief. And like Rogue Males, the Lonely Ladies won't mate with a Spiky Bodied male.

  6. Taken from "Orca" and "Wolf", this intelligent predator is-

    Orcolf.png.29a898b275e7b304c017ad10302ee1c9.png

    OMG IT'S SO CUTE!!!
    -ahem-
What I meant to say is, the Orcolf is a dangerous predator because it can go from water to land and back with no problem, so unlike with Bearyenas and Apes, you can't escape it by dashing off into the ocean. It does damage with its strong bite, as the picture above shows with the sharp teeth and ~precious smile~

Once they see you, they'll lock onto you and follow you, and often travel in groups of three to surround you. Occasionally, there will be a fourth Orcolf in the pack- a baby. Much like with Bearyenas, you can make this baby a friend by feeding it, but only after you've dealt with its protectors. Once that Friendly Orcolf is an adult, you can breed with it to get these genetics:

Orcolf Snout: +2 Smelling, +3 Strength, +Underwater Breathing
Orcolf Body: +1 Swimming, +1 Strength, +1 Cold Resistance, +1 Defense.
Orcolf Hind Legs: +2 Speed, +2 Swimming
Orcolf Ear / Slick Ear: +2 Hearing. [It's just an ear without the inner ear showing, like it's adapted to the water.]
    Black or White Fur Color
    Black or White Pattern Color
    Blue Eyes
    Mask Pattern
    Runner Leg
    Tailfin

As for where to find them, I imagine they're plentiful in the Archipelago and might have a chance of appearing on Whale Island. Other than that, I think they could spawn anywhere, but with a very low possibility, so that Bearyenas or whatever other predator there would be more likely to appear than an Orcolf pack.

  7. This suggestion is pretty cut and dry and like a year old, but oh well xD

Like Rogue Males, there could be Lonely Ladies who carry similar genes as Rogue Males, mate with your male nichelings, and steal nests like dodomingos in order to have those babies, which will then either become Lonely Ladies or Rogue Males depending on their gender, though they will follow her around in the tile behind her like a bearyena and her cub until they're old enough to wander away. Rogue Males and Lonely Ladies won't mate with each other, though; just your nichelings. Also if you leave a baby unattended, the Lonely Ladies will take them away, and the baby will follow her around like her own Rogue/Lonely baby, but instead of going Rogue/Lonely once they're adults, they'll turn into Wanderers that you can invite into your tribe. If you want to take your baby back before then, like immediately after she steals it away, then you'll have to kill her.

    Mystic,

Totally agree its not a big deal and am glad it was added for sure, plus not sure how hard it would be to add but it would be cool it they just drew a circle in an oval on the top of each tail feather. Kinda simple but I don't know how to program so don't know how much work it would be.

Were you the person who posted lonely ladies before? Maybe you should see if it gets some votes, still think it's a good idea.

Did you see they might add pink dodomingos?

Aw, thanks! And yeah, I posted Lonely Ladies, I just didn't think it got that many votes xD I figured people were like "UUUGHHH NO MORE ROGUES" lol But I guess I can post it up again just to see how it goes.

I would LOVE pink dodomingos <3

I think that it would be cool for a spit head (Squid Beak?) that could stun an enemy for a day. I would probably have a cool-down on so you can't spam it on apes or killer bearynas (unless it's along the lines of being an ancient gene, which would make it hard to get). The stunned enemies wouldn't attack and wouldn't move, even when being attacked themselves. It would also give your nichelings an opportunity to flee from an ape or a rogue male.

I loved this idea so much I HAD to draw up a sketch before bed today xD I like the idea of it being an ancient gene, or at least one that's really hard to get, rather than giving it a cool down. The one I drew would, like the Derp Snout, not show what ears it has, showing the spade headpiece instead, but the dominant ears' stats would still apply, and like the Bearyena Snout it wouldn't have a mane. Also I gave it a blue toxic body because it's a squid, why not? xD I think the beak would be the same color as the horns, just like platypus beak and regular beak. Didn't know what to do with the suction cups, so I just made them pink in order to stand out from the rest of the body. I think on top of the spit ability it should also have +1 gathering and +1 cracking.

I feel like the entire purpose of these legs would to be to give strength to a bird creature since that's what they're needed for on real birds. Since they would be bird legs I think a creature without wings would have a very difficult time walking on them, perhaps they would be best with no speed (but wings give you the 7 or 8 spaces of movement) making them only really worth while for flying creatures

    so stats would be maybe

    +1 or 2 strength

    +1 or 2 fishing

And that's all. a winged creature wouldn't be using its legs to swim unless it was a bird intended for the water, and it would have a whole lot of difficulty moving around on those tiny bird legs without its wings

I like this, but seeing as birds do walk on land and occasionally take a dip in water regardless of their forte, I think having no movement wouldn't make sense. +1 speed and +1 swimming, however, would work perfectly, because it's still daunting to have [as we've seen with the bearyena legs], but also still somewhat realistic.

  11. Okay, it took a while cuz it's my work week and most of my time has been spent at work, but when not at work I played with these sketches xD So here's my edited art!

  12. Either it could be a body and cancel out the tail like Spiked Body does, or it could be a tail, either way I love this idea <3 I think the body giving flying in addition to the attractiveness would be cool, and as for the attractiveness I like it functioning like a tree stump.

    @MysticTopaz They look awesome :D

but a bit too textured for ingame I think but as fanart/concept art they are great!

and I didn't mean for them to be covered in scales all over, just a hint of scales at the breast like the strands of fur we get on normal body without having it everywhere, the rest would be filled out by imagination ^^

and for the leaf/sky one, I like it but again, it is too textured for ingame I think, ingame they are all solid colored. so maybe the sky blue could be the overwrite color for the pattern? I made an example how a spotted one would then look when sitting on a tree, but very simplistic whithout texture, just color and outlines as we get ingame :)

Ooohhh I get what you're saying now! xD Here, let me make some edits using spots, stripes, and mask! I'll post them up when I finish!

Of course!! Draw whatever you like ^-^

sky color when on a tree, yes possibly, though wouldn't leaf colored make more sense? Idk but draw it anyway if you like

and yeah, the heat thing was just an afterthought since most reptiles are cold blodded and do better in warm regions, but it is unnecessary. Color change is the only important feature about this idea

I'm anticipating your pictures of this :D

Okay, I finished the pictures! I know you mentioned you wanted scales like a reptile body, and I tried to edit together some scales for the body, but I personally had some difficulties, so I've got one picture with the scales and all the rest just have a 'rough' texture to them. xD Hope you don't mind! I also added in a 'tree' version, and I tried to make it look like mostly leaves with some blue mixed in like seeing the sky through the leaves. Not sure how well it went, but I tried lol

    Snow: Snow.png.3217d340fc0b6d0a634e65ba51f9235c.png

Just a note: The body I drew is sleek and kinda bean-shaped because I noticed that, when a chameleon is 'sitting up' or stretching toward something, it's actually kinda thin, whereas in most of the pictures you see on google, they're sitting down on all fours and look hunch-backed and chubby. Since Nichelings are sitting up, I went with a thinner look :)

  15. I will admit that the current "Peacock Tail" took me by surprise when I first saw it in-game, due to the lack of eyes and spaces, but ultimately I decided this must be a detail issue; the game is very simple in its shapes, and peacock's tails are very complex. The lack of eyes could also be due to the nichelings having mask, stripe, or dot patterns. Personally, I'm not really hurt by it; I'm just glad my suggestion was added to the game in some form xD

I can't say I like this idea. The idea of not being able to control something like that really doesn't feel right in a game like this. If it does become something, I hope it's optional, because the thought that you could suddenly lose a Nicheling to something that's much harder to deal with than wounds would be kind of a buzzkill. Not every island has healing fruits on it.

I agree :c In theory, it's a cool idea to mirror real life, but sometimes real life is stupid and certain aspects don't need to be added. We already have rape in the game with Rogue Males; rabies just feels like one gut punch too many. I'm not saying I'd stop playing the game if rabies was added, but I'd certainly be less enthused.

The pattern would still be the same (a spotted one would still be spotted, a striped striped...) but also change in color depending on the biome

(I forgot the beach and the water but you hopefully get what I mean)
I'd like if the body could be made to look slightly scaly instead of fluffy ^-^

It would give a lot of camouflage but has next to no other benefits, maybe heat resistance +1 or 2 but cold resistance -1 or 2
Let me know what you think :D

Hey there! Cool idea! I love the thought of a chameleon body! However, I'm not too much a can of the heat/cold thing; maybe it's just plain and simple camouflage and nothing else? Like how Toxic Body is plain and simple toxicity/poisonresistance and nothing else? I think they would be within the same vein of body type, y'know?

Also may I make some fan art of this including being in the water and on the beach and in a tree? I think they'd have like a sky color when in a tree, dont'cha think?

Or maybe after mutating each colour once? I miss that from old Niche

I LOVE THIS!!! I remember having to unlock the fur and eye colors in old niche xD I miss it, too, but not too much since there's so many other things to unlock instead. Do you mean for it to unlock after mutating just all the fur colors, or all the eye colors, too? Maybe mutating all the fur colors gets you the chameleon body while mutating all the eye colors gets you chameleon eyes that are +1 more sight than normal eyesight?

  19. Dukduk's mom was a spitsnout with a dominant swimming tail with recessive peacock tail. No scorpion tail. His dad was a bearyena, as you can see from most of his genes. Dukduk's mom had good eyesight in her genetic mutation slots because she had bad eyesight. I don't even have scorpion tail unlocked.

Dukduk was a precious mutant baby, taken away from me by a wild bearyena. RIP, glitch baby. You will be missed.
