btw i have a question. is it normal not to have many comment on the side in rps or playthroughs? cuz in a playthrough i've done, i havent gotten many comments, and instead more reactions and simple viewing. and i also see the same here, not much commenting from much of the people who follow the playthrough, and only a lil more reactions than comments

It took a bit of time for the story to progress before there were comments on the side, enough for people to get attached to the story/ characters.

So it might take awhile if things develop too slowly or poorly

  4. Path to the Stars

    20210630234517_1.thumb.jpg.2a86b0fe25ae91245cc523762c6fc3ce.jpg

Fearless came up from a lower hotsprings, carrying Onion's skull. Horizon nodded at them thankfully, holding it in her nimble paw.

    It was time.

    20210630234719_1.thumb.jpg.39a9938ccd81272fee1b7cc4e77fac33.jpg

She plopped Lichen into the hotsprings.

"Don't leave. You'll die or get caught in the crossfire."

    "But-"

    "Whose your mate and child?"

"Fox Heart. And I haven't met my child yet."

    Horizon nodded, leaving him.

    20210630234913_1.thumb.jpg.c477fe07f53d6580a7e972f2129d8e46.jpg

The group carefully padded forwards, their footsteps muffled by the blizzard.

Just beyond their snowdrift was the group, anxiously wondering where Lichen and Onion went.

    "3..."

Tiger's Eye was ready to fight this battle, tooth and claw, for her freedom.

    "..2...."

She knew it was now or never.

    "..1...."

The last nichelings she would ever have to kill. For her freedom.

Was it selfish? Yes.. the ends didn't justify the means.

But then again. She had to help her own tribe. She had to destroy all in her path because she was 'gifted'.

    "...."

    And then, she realized something.

'You will bring death to this island, one nicheling at a time'

It hadn't meant she would kill everyone.

Her own birth had been immediate death to the Burnings.

But then again, she hadn't killed anyone from the Burnings at the time.

Everywhere she went, there was tragedy; she couldn't avoid that.

It hadn't meant she was a murderer.

    "..."

It meant she would see murderers. She would bring nichelings like Evergreen and the entirety of the Frozens to peace.

If death represented someone who had killed, and had seen themselves above the rest, back down to the island.

She had spared Evergreen and taught her to be better, and to stop resisting herself.

She had helped the Frozens by sacrificing herself to the Burnings.

All acted as above conflict and better than the rest.

    ".."

    And all had murdered.

    "."

She hadn't become a monster at all- Fox Heart had lied, or Tiger's Eye had resisted.

    "Go!"

She had finally found her calling; it was there all along. She was stronger than fate, she chose her own path.

    20210630235152_1.thumb.jpg.5285ff5ac7ca34056c168464970f7201.jpg

The Frozens descended on the group.

    20210630235222_1.thumb.jpg.fce4597f07d2e3061c4b3753b2e2f7d6.jpg

Pomegranate instantly shoved his mate and daughter down the mountain.

    "Run!"

    20210630235249_1.thumb.jpg.a8fb15bbdcc80d24b3c324134aba2613.jpg

Fire Ruby and Evergreen fought viciously. Her old training was obvious; she was avoiding Evergreen's venom-shooting range quite smoothly.

    20210630235619_1.thumb.jpg.6c393b4676c18856b951a82ef524fb4f.jpg

Tiger's Eye sprang forwards, biting into Fire Ruby, tearing into her shoulder.

Fire Ruby shrieked in pain, shoving her backwards. Tiger's Eye fell backwards, landing into a snowdrift.

She sprung forwards, purposely spraying snow into the surround nicheling's faces.

Tiger's Eye shot venom across her entire face, but her rage didn't falter.

    20210630235646_1.thumb.jpg.aca0a8468137573df45d735f39a34a7d.jpg

Fire Ruby pinned down Tiger's Eye; claw raised, face melting in a horrifying show.

For a second, her life flashed before her eyes.

But this wasn't like the old times she was facing death.

It felt more of like an inescapable trap she kept avoiding; a problem she put in the dark and finally had to face, not a near death experience.

She had finally learned that her calling was in her all along; she didn't need to do anything to find it.

So what purpose did she have to resist dying again?

    There was none.

She had left her mark on the world. She had put everything on the path to greatness. She had nothing left to lose now.

Instead of blocking her claw or trying to dodge, Tiger's Eye simply shut her eyes.

    20210630235747_1.thumb.jpg.1315eeda08a946f5f421579e2651f143.jpg

The path to the stars was ahead of her now, as all her pains vanished and light blurred her vision.

    "..Goodbye, everyone."

The death of a legend, the rise of a truth.

  6. Second run I'm going to share because my luck was horrible this time;

    - Started on Crossing

    - Parents managed to amass enough nesting material (11) and food (56!) by the time they were adults.

    - Nest was built in 15 days. Nested in a tree.

    - Had 7 children

    - 4 were sick; 2 common colds 2 sleeping sicknesses. All survived, but were weakened

    - 3 died; 1 from a bearyena, 2 from failed fledging.

    - the father died from untreated leech bleeding shortly after all the children were born.

5 fledged; 2 died, 1 lost its ability to fly, 2 successfully

The mother found a new mate 2 days after the first father died.

    - Had 4 children

    - Used old nest

    - 1 was sick; had sleeping sickness

    - 1 was deformed; killed immediately

3 fledged; 1 died, 2 lost ability to fly

  7. Shadows of the Past

    20210630110603_1.thumb.jpg.48d1c844fe49adfb1b8a3bfbf18ed9ec.jpg

Lichen watched as Onion's body fell to the ground, dissolving into bones quickly.

He turned to run back to the rest of the Organization, but Evergreen grabbed the back of his head, and roughly dragged him back up the mountain. He didn't struggle.

    20210630110809_1.thumb.jpg.b5106b82ec6dcb93c2c7751061fae168.jpg

Lichen watched as his brother, a cold and rude nicheling he hadn't known all that well, Dodo, left the Empires. Too brave for his own good.

Tiger's Eye stared at him, mouth hinged like a snake, preparing to shoot venom out at any second. "Tell us, Lichen, what were you and Onion doing chasing down Arctic?"

The pink nicheling stared into the jaws of potential death. His mind raced, but he couldn't think of a lie to save his mate and child he had never met. "Onion made this.. group. He forced me and Arctic to join. Arctic ran off, but I stayed with my mate and was made to help chase them down."

    "Where is this group?"

Lichen swallowed fearfully, pointing his shaking paw towards east of the mountain.

Evergreen looked over from her stump. "He's right. I can see Pomegranate."

"How many nichelings are there?" Laika asks.

"Uhh. Me, Onion- he's now dead- Fox Heart, Fire Ruby, Arctic- but not really-, me and Fox Heart's child, and Pomegranate, if you saw him."

Horizon grinned. "Good. Easy to destroy. We have the ability to." She flexed her claw. "I suppose since you've been so helpful, we'll leave Fox Heart alive, and your child, I guess. Fire Ruby can make us immortal, so we'll keep her alive as well, just imprisoned."

    Lichen shook in fear.

    What have I done..?

    20210630111615_1.thumb.jpg.1d5aee0822e90e28d1fed9c5bea2d10e.jpg

Horizon smiled, preparing to go to war.

    But, her sisters approached her.

Tiger's Eye looked at her sadly. "Horizon, I'm going to be completely honest with you. Me and Evergreen don't.. we don't want to fight."

Evergreen nodded. "I don't want to kill anymore. I've done that too much."

Horizon stared at them, a mixture of emotions filling her mind. But she knew to be a great leader, she'd need to be calm and fair to them.

Horizon: "If you help us defeat Onion's group, I won't make you fight at all after that."

Evergreen's eyes looked so hopeful, it was bittersweet. "Thank you, Horizon."

The shadows in Evergreen's past began to clear.

There's no way to change the past. You just need to prove you've changed.

And it looks like Evergreen has changed significantly.

  8. Death of a Hundred Years

Bit of graphic description in the end of this one!

    20210629123109_1.thumb.jpg.03855504aaa2e456a242a3b61e513a20.jpg

Barely enough time to react, Evergreen leaped away from Fearless as they sprang towards her with zero fear, living up to their name.

Fearless: "Get back over here, and pay for your crimes!"

Evergreen felt that she needed to pay, but she wasn't certain this was how.

    20210629123137_1.thumb.jpg.0fd07715e8599c74dc6c3299dd8d4abf.jpg

Racing up from the mountain, a party of three blue-gemmed nichelings came up.

A gray one was running from two others, who stopped in their tracks.

    20210629123234_1.thumb.jpg.5208177f600cff5ba03366388cff8d24.jpg

Down on the rest of the mountain, the groups making up the different Empires began to split.

Fire Diamond, Bronze and Jay all left the tribes, planning to explore the mountain, Bronze and Fire Diamond settling down as mates.

Carrion, Rowan and Soil also decided to leave the Empires. But both agreed that if either group needed something, they could ask them.

Hundreds of years of history, lost just like that. The Empires would need to expand even more now.

Horizon and Alecto went up to join the remaining Empire nichelings, and tell them the news.

    20210629123442_1.thumb.jpg.f2bab24585f659edbd42cd19582c708a.jpg

Tiger's Eye recognized Arctic and their ambitious, overly aggressive older half-brother.

She jumped forwards: "Onion! Stop. Don't hurt your sibling."

Onion glared at her: "Get out of my way! You've ruined everything for me! As soon as you and your stupid siblings joined, you and Horizon have been jeopardizing my position as heir and most powerful." He smiled maliciously. "At long last, I can secure my place as strongest."

He raised his claw up. But instead of hitting Tiger's Eye, he saw his claw intercepted by Arctic.

Tiger's Eye jumped forwards to the opportunity, and sprayed black venom all over his face.

    .

Onion had never felt so much pain in his life.

It felt as if a thousand balance bears were all biting into his face at the same time, ripping at his eyes, noise, mouth, and twisted skull.

He faltered, falling backwards out of blindness and began to slide down the mountain's steep slope. He found a hotsprings and buried his face in its water in hopes the venom would freeze, but to no avail.

    20210629123651_1.thumb.jpg.f6db28a0f865296d49dd0707aa105808.jpg

Raising his head out of the water, viciously scratching at his melting face, he felt snow fall from the sky, hauntingly calming.

He had been born in the prime of the snows, a blaze in the mountain that ravaged and inflicted pain for the sake of living up to Quartz.

Now, as he collapsed, in his final bloody moments, unable to move and think properly, brain being eaten up, it was only poetic that he died in the beginning of a new storm, drenched in water.

And at long last, a hundred years of horrible tyrannical crime, rule and wrongdoings were all lost to time.

  9. Peace at Last

Very short post because Fox Heart is an icon

    20210627191159_1.thumb.jpg.6465c2b30a62ce32334b3f1670a4a302.jpg

Fox Heart woke up to see her first child. Excitement filled her up; although she had seen this thousands of times before, each new child she had in every different body was unique, and she would love them, even if she forgot them eventually.

Although she was a spirit of evil and death and whatnot, she did sometimes do good; usually, to help her children in different forms. For example; convincing her son Iron to lead his tribe to a new, safer island and staying behind. Protecting her twins Ghost and Spirit from a bearyena, costing her life. Helping Ebony, her mate and her children escape the wrath of a terrible leader.

But there was one thing that stood out in every life; she always helped children whose parents died, abandoned them or didn't have parents at all.

No matter how bad she is at her core, like all villains, there was a soft spot. She wanted nobody to suffer like she did.

As Fox Heart looked down at her new child, he sneezed.

Fire Ruby and Dragonfruit were surprised, before Fire Ruby spoke.

"So.. we'll leave it here and tell Lichen you two can't be mates."

Dragonfruit stared at her for a second darkly.

Fox Heart stared down at the child.

Fire Ruby: "And we should probably kill it, before it could infect anyone else."

    Something clicked in Fox Heart.

She had lived so many lives, she had forgotten how her original life went.

This seemed.. familiar. Almost like she was getting to watch herself.

"No." Fox Heart looked at Fire Ruby firmly. "I'm not leaving him. And I'm 1/3 of this tribe's leadership."

Fire Ruby glared back. "We'll see what Onion says about this."

For a second, even with the two fighting, Fox Heart felt as if she had finally found inner peace. Like she had finally gotten the life she deserved. At least, she was going to give her child that life.

  10. The Churning Sea

    20210627190544_1.thumb.jpg.0ca01ae46fc225d1259ab00d36876757.jpg

The somewhat joint group of the Frozens and Burnings reunited with Jay and Bronze. Fire Diamond seemed to have an instant connection to Jay; it might be because of their vibrant colored bodies or sibling relations. Either way, Fire Diamond was still a bit sad about her mother's passing, although it doesn't seem to hinder her.

    20210627190633_1.thumb.jpg.75824b0dc4e38746d4071fc189c3405f.jpg

Dodo ran off after seeing Bronze and Jay, somewhat guiltily. Tiger's Eye wondered why.

    20210627190616_1.thumb.jpg.40ac9df9efc46d6ca06808839f520c47.jpg

Fearless pulled Evergreen aside to talk to her. Tiger's Eye and Laika, both suspicious of this, went after them, though keeping their distances.

    20210627190828_1.thumb.jpg.022de696a848e1dab37937affb6dd764.jpg

Meanwhile, Arctic was getting chased by Onion and Lichen. They were slower than Onion, so they would need to find a new strategy to get away.

Jumping onto a stump, Arctic looked around. The best they could think of was climbing the steep slope up the mountain.

Running towards the mountainside, they had no idea they were about to bring together the mountains, forever.

    20210627190939_1.thumb.jpg.cd74536f85019ddbb4b3aaf54cc4c3c3.jpg

Evergreen was taking the clover wrap off her eye, blinking off dried blood. A visible scar still showed, but at least Evergreen wasn't dead.

Evergreen: "What do you need, Fearless?"

Fearless glared at her. "You killed my father. You tried to kill my mother, while she was expecting. And then you did with that other poison-snouted monst-"

Evergreen: "Leave Tiger's Eye out of this. She was doing what she thought was right."

Fearless raised their chin. "She's as bad as you."

Evergreen didn't respond. "What do you need anyways? You didn't answer my question."

Fearless glared at Evergreen with such intensity, it could melt the mountain's snows forever. "I need to you to die."

Chapter 4, Day 6 – The Looming Storm

Mīwa wakes up to a grey morning, rain drizzling from the sky and her fur already soggy. For a minute, she’s confused as to why grass is beneath her instead of the familiar mosses and dry seaweed of her nest; then she remembers where she is and everything comes flooding back.

Their home is gone. Kōri is gone. Sashi is gone. Everything is gone.

For a minute she lies still, feeling the dripping rain send cold shivering through her. She feels suddenly tired, a bitter, hard tiredness instead of normal exhaustion.

But she learned a long time ago that sadness isn’t worth it. So she pushes herself to her feet and checks the situation, as rain drips into her eyes and down her face and trickles along her beak.

Pipiri is curled up beside where Mīwa was; still apparently asleep. Rōre was next to the wanderer, Sēse, when they settled down last night, but apparently it made their new tribe member uncomfortable, or she was unused to being so near others, since she’s sleeping a bit of a distance from the others instead. A dryer patch near the edge of the clearing, apparently his sleeping spot, is the only sign of Kūta ever existing; but after a quick scan Mīwa sees a trail of crushed grasses marking the route he took away. She decides not to worry about him.

The thick clouds coating the sky from horizon to horizon make it impossible to see the sun, but Mīwa guesses it is around the same time as they first arrived on this island the previous day; just after sunrise. The air has a biting chill to it, and the water seeping through her pelt only amplifies the cold, leaving Mīwa shivering. She can’t imagine how cold Pipiri will be when she awakes.

Although tempted to lay back down in the grass and let it shelter her from the rain, Mīwa soon comes to the conclusion that she will only become wetter and colder; and it also occurs to her that they don’t yet have a steady supply of food. She glances back at the sleeping tribe. Nobody is stirring, so she turns away and starts to push through the damp grasses away from their temporary camp.

After moving a few paces away, she pauses. She doesn’t know if it’s safe to go out alone in this new place… but after thinking for a few minutes, she decides that the matter of food is urgent enough that she’ll risk it. Anyway, they have a healing plant tucked away in the nearby grasses in case of emergencies. But there’s also the problem of where exactly prey, or any kind of food, may be. The berry bush they gathered from the previous day was in the other direction, past the sleeping-place, and now that she’s left she doesn’t want to double back and possibly wake anyone up.

Instead, it occurs to her that with her platypus beak, she may be able to gather worms from the sea-floor, or even catch fish. Although she doubts either of those will be an enjoyable meal to the others, it’s the least risky option; so a short while later she’s padding towards the low, constant roaring sound of waves breaking against the rocky island shore.

The second Mīwa steps out from the sheltered grasses, she feels an icy wind slicing through her pelt; it seems to blow constantly along this dreary shore, even on clear days like the one before. The noises of the rain and sea and wind mingle, forming a low sound that drowns out everything else. Despite this making her nervous – how is she meant to be wary of danger when she won’t hear it coming? – Mīwa starts moving across the beach, her feet sinking into thick, wet sand with every step.

She reaches the ocean after what feels like an eternity struggling against the wind and stops with the waves lapping her claws, feeling the freezing chill in the water. Then she takes a deep breath and moves deeper, the choppy waves splashing against her legs, and after a few more steps, her belly.

Blinking water out of her eyes yet again, she tries to see through the churned-up water to find a soft patch of sand that she can dig in with her beak. But the storm-tossed waves are foamy and tumultuous, dark and blurry from sand and shadows. After struggling for several minutes to see anything through the water, she decides she has to resort to diving down.

She takes a deep breath and plunges under. Immediately, the world turns quiet. Distorted shadows of waves pass over her head, and silver glints of fish flicker past. She forces herself not to get distracted and quickly searches the seafloor, using her deformed paw to skim over the sand and find soft patches. Just before her breath runs out, she finds one; but she has to swim to the surface, gulping for air. Her hind legs, barely grazing the bottom, are all that keep her from being swept out by a current.

She dives under again as soon as she gets her breath back, but as is the nature of turbulent seas, she’s lost the spot. She finds another one – or maybe the same – quicker this time, however, and plunges her beak into the soft sand, using the flat, spade-like top to scrape it away. Her vision is obscured by the fine clouds of sand that fill the water, but she manages to feel the worms she unearthed and hold them in her beak as she kicks off the sea-floor, shooting to the surface.

Her ears are filled again with the loud rush of rain and waves, and she’s disorientated for a moment. When she gets her bearings again, Mīwa realizes she’s further out to sea then she expected, and she hastily starts swimming back. It’s hard going, and by the time she reaches shore – half helped along by a smaller wave – her legs ache and she’s shivering with cold.

That is NOT worth a few puny worms, she thinks remorsefully as she deposits them on the ground.

There are only three of them, not even enough to feed everyone. In their old home, she’s brought back as many as nine; then almost everyone here could eat two, which would be ideal. But as it is, only three of them will get to eat, and only one worm.

She sighs, hoping the others have the sense to gather from the berry-bush they found the previous day. Otherwise it’s going to be a hungry morning and a hard day, searching for food until dusk.

A while later, Mīwa steps into their temporary camp just as the rain starts pouring down even harder. Everyone else is awake – and to Mīwa relief, Pipiri has some berries piled in front of her, mostly fresh as if gathered from the bush only today. It seems they were waiting for Mīwa before they started to eat.

She pads up and drops the worms next to their berries. “Good morning.”

Pipiri smiles at her, before frowning a bit and glancing back the way Mīwa came. “Where’s Kūta?” she asks.

“No idea,” Mīwa replies, a bit startled. “Why? Haven’t seen him?”

“No,” Pipiri replies, looking slightly concerned.

Sēse is eyeing the berries hungrily, but she glances up. “We thought he was with you,” she explained. “But I guess not?”

“I haven’t seen him all morning,” Mīwa says.

Pipiri hesitates, and then sighs. “Well, we’ll look for him after we eat; just leave some for him.” Mīwa nods; Sēse looks uncertain, but then nods too. Rōre refuses to acknowledge any of them except for Sēse, so he just glowers at the rainy sky before grabbing two berries and starting to eat them. Mīwa eats a worm, since she knows the others will rather have berries; and by the end of their meal, nobody has touched them, so she has another. All that’s left for Kūta is the third worm and two somewhat shriveled berries that nobody else wanted.

“Let’s go look for him,” Pipiri mutters, clearly unhappy. She pushes the remaining food to the side, where it’s well-hidden, before forcing her way out of the grass ahead of the others, following the trail that Kūta left that morning. It’s more subtle now, but still visible; and Pipiri can probably smell his scent, too, something Mīwa finds tricky at the best of times due to her unusual snout.

Suddenly Pipiri stops, Mīwa almost stumbling into her. Mīwa can’t see past her, but from how tense Pipiri is, it’s not good.

“What do you think you’re doing?” Pipiri growls at someone. She steps forward and Mīwa sees what is going on; Kūta is crouched beside the healing plant, and the flower is gone.

He sits up, looking startled, and Mīwa sees bright orange petals scattered around the wet grass.

    20210619092643_2.jpg.6a5ae4f1c406dd2e9529a5db8c8c3739.jpg

“Well, I found it yesterday,” he starts, “and I remembered they heal wounds and stuff, so I thought-”

With a snarl, Pipiri leaps at him, pushing him away. He stumbles, slipping on the wet grasses, eyes wide and shocked. Mīwa moves to Pipiri’s side as she scans the ground, but nothing remains except scraps of petals, glistening with raindrops.

“You ate it,” Pipiri growls, her voice low and threatening. Her eyes are like twin flames, blazing with rage.

“…Yeah, w-what’s wrong with that?” Mīwa is amazed by how straightforward he is, no excuses. His voice is shaking a bit, but if Pipiri hadn’t been angry Mīwa suspects he would’ve made it seem casual. Like, why not eat healing flowers whenever he wants? She glares at him, too.

Pipiri shoves her muzzle in his face, and he flinches back, looking almost comically startled. “What if I’d gotten hurt? Or Mīwa?” Mīwa is interested to notice she doesn’t even mention Sēse or Rōre – both of who had now emerged from the grasses and are standing nearby. She hopes that if one of them did get hurt, Pipiri wouldn’t deny them the right to get healed. There’s part of our tribe, too, and she leads this tribe. Forcing down her worries, she keeps listening as Pipiri continues.

Then would you have eaten this plant for – what? Your sickness?” Pipiri lashes her tail. Mīwa is startled; she had almost forgotten about his sickness, and now she feels guilt prickling through her fur for her earlier anger.

Of course he ate it. If I was sick, I suppose I would have probably done the same.

She touches Pipiri’s flank with her tail and she looks back, startled. Mīwa’s gaze seems to convey her thoughts to Pipiri, because her gaze hardens is annoyance before she turns back to Kūta as he starts speaking.

    “I mean… yeah… why shouldn’t I? Nobody else was hurt, so I thought-”

Pipiri cuts him off sharply, but in a calmer voice then before. “That’s understandable. But you should have asked my permission.” Mīwa is relieved to see that Pipiri understood her wordless message.

Kūta looks anxious, ears lowered, before admitting quietly, “I thought you wouldn’t let me.”

She probably wouldn’t have wanted to, Mīwa thinks to herself. But I would have convinced her to. Really, he should’ve just asked; then there wouldn’t have been trouble.

Pipiri narrows her eyes, before flicking her tail sharply. “It doesn’t matter. You’ve eaten it now, so there’s nothing we can do.” Seeing nervousness flicker in Kūta’s eyes, she adds, “I’m not going to punish you.” He sighs, relieved, but she continues in a harder voice; “Just don’t do that again. Ask my permission next time.”

Kūta immediately looks nervous again, but he quickly nods and mumbles some words of confirmation. Mīwa stands quietly at Pipiri’s side as she says something about food, but as Pipiri starts heading back toward camp with Kūta following, Mīwa hangs back. “Are you two coming?”

Sēse and Rōre are still by the plant; at Mīwa’s words, they look up, Sēse with surprise and Rōre with undisguised hostility. “No,” he snaps. “We’ll catch up later.” When she doesn’t immediately leave, he adds, “Better go catch up to your great leader before she gets back to camp, or she might banish you for being slow.”

Mīwa’s fur bristles in rage, and she glares at him. “Pipiri is our leader now,” she hisses. “You’d better learn to respect her.”

With that, she turns away and pads back towards camp, forcing down her lingering doubt.

    Author’s Notes:

Yes, I finally finished this chapter! I’ve been working on this on and off for about four days now, and I’m very happy to finally have it done. From now on, chapters will not be posted every day; I’ll try and post one every two days, but it may be as long as a week between chapters. However, I promise I’ll try my very best to post at least one a week. :)

After this chapter there will be a time-skip, because the next few days in-game are just them moving further up the mountain.

Also, sorry for the lack of photos; the entire scene with Mīwa getting worms was actually not a real scene! It was instead a replacement for a scene at the very beginning where she gathered worms, which I did not include here. So obviously I had no photos of that scene, otherwise I would’ve posted them.

If you’re surprised that I used basically a fake scene… I’m going to do that a lot. It makes the story seem much more real, so that’s why I do it. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed! See you in the next chapter! :D

Sounds like Rōre likes Sēse. And it's good to see Mīwa helping Pipiri become a better leader.

Rōre might be planning to take the next fruit for himself.. Pipiri will need to be careful. If he can use the healing plant strategically, he might be able to force Kūta to join him if he does attempt a takeover. Both are relatively strong, and Pipiri can't fight.

Arctic watched as everyone began to sleep, Onion wandering a bit away to catch some hares to eat. They had been captured by the Organization- or whatever this group was called- and couldn't exactly escape.

But it was now or never.

With a burst of speed, they sprinted off into an unknown direction, unsure where they were going but certain they wouldn't be held captive.

(lost a screenshot, Arctic is getting chased by Onion and Lichen)

    Someone called behind them:

    "After them!"

Eventually, a group of 2 nichelings arrived at the new camp.

"Who are you?" Questioned Fox Heart.

"We're just travelers." A pomegranate-colored male said with a hint of nervousness. "We need a tribe to join."

"From where?" Fire Ruby watched them suspiciously, particularly the female.

The female spoke this time. "The jungle. Our tribe was scattered by apes. We came here in hopes of colder weather so we wouldn't be so hot constantly." She laughed a bit in a sad manner. "We got what we wished for, it seems."

"What are your names?" Fire Ruby was oddly pushy on the personal questions.

"I'm Pomegranate. And this is Dragonfruit, my mate."

    "We'll ask Onion about this."

Something clicked in Dragonfruit's head, and her eyes darkened. "Of course. Is he your leader?"

"Yes." Fox Heart was looking at Fire Ruby, who shook herself off and tore her gaze off Dragonfruit. "You can stay here for now."

    .

I foresee this will go disastrously.. It looks like I've let a fox inside a chicken coop.

wait a minute... why'd everyone panic? as sunny has said from WoF "we have magical death spit!". so why everybody running just throw some magical death spit onto ze bear- oh... wait, nvm. (it actually very much depends how night fire defined the rules of death spit, so ima just ask: night fire, in ur playthrough, does the nichelings with death spit have to have any energy points left, or can they just have none left and still use it, as in going outside the law of energy in niche? or does said nicheling have to use an energy point to use magical death spit, or do they have to have atleast one point of energy but the "action" wont use it?)

For the magical death spit to work, it takes one point for energy but they still use that, usually to clear snow or collect nesting material, with some exceptions if they begin to get cold

For example: When Evergreen first hit Mud with it, she had one energy point 'used' but cleared the snow around the rock next to her.

Firecracker let out a loud roar as Evergreen pulled Tiger's Eye away, both jumping into new hotsprings. Firecracker smashed her claws down here Tiger's Eye was a moment before.

Firecracker: "Get back here, I'll kill both of you!"

The spiky nicheling charged towards Tiger's Eye, who was trying to reason with her.

Firecracker had Tiger's Eye pinned under her claw, before Evergreen shot a lump of venom onto her forehead.

Firecracker ran towards the sea, shrieking in pain; but Tiger's Eye grabbed her hindleg, and she fell onto her face, the venom eating up her face in a supposedly gore-y manner hidden from eyeshot.

Tiger's Eye stared down at the dissipating nicheling as she heard someone.

"Thank you.. sister?" She looked up and saw Evergreen, wrapping clovers in a green-pink bundle around her injured eye.

    "Its.. it's really nothing."

Suddenly, a thundering roar filled the clearing.

A balance bear had smelled the decaying bodies, and had come to feast on the rest of the tribe.

Everyone scattered; the camp dissolved into chaos.

Pomegranate ran up the slope instead of backwards, lost in the fray of shrieks and running. Eventually, a gray nicheling came and sat with him.

Terrified for a moment, Pomegranate finally spoke: "Who.. who are you?"

"My name is Dragonfruit. I've been wandering this mountain for a while now. I was going to ask to join you all, but, I don't want to be bearfood."

    "Fair."

The two talked, and for a second, all the pressures of the world were lifted.

    Pomegranate was finally at peace.

    Good ending pog
