  1. Fight Fire with Fire The post you've all been waiting for! Evergreen heard a low growl from above. She looked up, and to her horror, Firecracker and some other nichelings she didn't recognize were looming over her. The rest of the Frozens backed up, looking at Evergreen in confusion. Laika stepped forwards and hissed at Firecracker, her gaze set on Evergreen reading, "You had one job!" Firecracker: "Ah, Evergreen. You thought you could replace me by simply killing me?" She glared down, before adding, "And Emu." Evergreen wondered if Firecracker didn't care about Emu by her tone towards him; maybe she just wanted power. And she clearly didn't care about Parrot. "You what!?" Fearless glared at her, snarling and hissing. "What the hell is wrong with you? You lost the vote! You're not the true leader, and you never will be!" Remembering everything Laika and Almond had drilled into her head, she tried to think of how she wasn't obligated to be the leader, but she couldn't; it was everything she was told. Fearless' words had stung like the acidic venom she shot onto others. "She is the true leader!" Laika snarled at Fearless. "How else can she avenge her Father and live up to familial legacy? Only children of the leaders should be the next leader, not siblings." Evergreen wondered if she really deserved to be the true leader. Actually, if she wanted to even lead anyone. . Suddenly, Firecracker charged off the stump. Evergreen had barely any time to react, and pulled herself up to block her vitals; she could feel pain fly across her eye, and she recoiled backwards, a long scar from under her chin reaching up over her eye. Wiping the blood off her fur, she stared up at Firecracker, who flexed her bloodied claw maliciously. She just wanted power. She doesn't care about anyone. When I die, I'll tell Emu that.. Firecracker reared to attack Evergreen, and she shut her eyes, waiting for her crimes to catch up with her. But then- "I'm sorry Firecracker, but I won't let you kill my sister."
  2. Onion's Organization Impulsive midnight post because I'm a night goblin Onion was surprised to see the empty hotsprings. The rock he laid down on Fire Jade's tail was toppled to the side of the hotsping, with a bit of dried blood and gray fur. How could a blue bird get her? But he realized that, he had so much power, leading this group. Fire Ruby and Fox Heart both likely knew this was the case; Fox Heart could predict the future, Fire Ruby had helped Onion. He whispered to the two of them: "Why don't we make a new Empire? Moose and Fire Opal weren't good to me, or most of us. I have no idea how Horizon will lead the tribe. And we can even overpower these two if needed." Fox Heart flicked her ear: "I foresee this will work out brilliantly." Arctic could sense something was wrong. They turned to back out of the clearing, but Onion beckoned them back; Lichen and Arctic had realized their intentions. "What do we name ourselves?" Asked Fire Ruby. Lichen shuffled awkwardly. "Something in relation to Onion? It was his idea, after all." Fox Heart remarked. "Onion's Empire doesn't sound too grandiose." Fire Ruby explained. "Onion's Organization sounds nice." Onion looked down at his claw, pleased. (I don't remember if Fox Heart bred with Onion or Lichen sooo we'll learn soon enough I suppose) Arctic went to run. They made it over the rabbit burrow and towards the mountain beak before Fire Opal grabbed them. "Nobody is leaving." She said, calmly and edged with ice. Fire Opal dragged them back to the hotsprings, and Onion readjusted the rock to sit on Arctic's hindleg. They yelped in pain, and struggled, although their strength faltered as the day ended. I'm sorry, Mother, Father. I've failed you and your legacy. You took on balance bears, and I couldn't defeat another nicheling. They stared out towards the sea, wondering how difficult it would be to swim across it with a few fruit. And they wondered how to summon the courage to try.
  3. No, probably a glitch. This post is only covering what happened with Fire Opal, Dodo, Bronze, and now Jay. Next post will cover either what Onion and Fire Ruby did or what Tiger's Eye and Evergreen did.
  4. Flood from the Fire This is going to be the first major development of Bronze, and only covering one skirmish between groups. I might update the others today depending on if I'm up to it. Fire Opal had her final child with Moose, a bright-blue male who matched with the land under the light snows covering the tundra. It was poetic, in a way; a few days from death, a once blazing fire lets out her last child; a pure blue male. Polar opposites, yet still related. A reminder of Blood Sky and Horizon; a brave, bold nicheling, daughter of a horrid traitor. Fire Opal had always justified that murder as her one quest, the only thing she needed to do. But deep down, even she knew she was a horrible nicheling. She deserved this plate of karma. But she remembered her training, and the words of one of her mentors very carefully; "If you feel guilt for the nicheling you killed, you deserve to die with them." Her final day was ticking down like an hourglass filled with the tears dropped from those mourning the enemies she'd killed. She had won that fateful battle- but she had lost the war of morality. She saw the bones of a wanderer and her mate, and everything was spinning. She didn't have much time left; she was going to pay the price of cruel justice. WHERE WAS FIRE RUBY. Fire Opal realized with sickening anger that her sister had used her power to get protection; she didn't care one bit about Fire Opal or Moose. She would've been a better assassin than I ever was. Tick. Tock. The balance bear's heavy footsteps came closer. Bronze grabbed the blue child and pulled him in, as Fire Opal looked in the direction of the enemy. Dodo, scowled and raced off. Bronze: "Dodo- what-" Dodo: "That's it, I'm done helping you useless maggots. You left me with Lichen when I was born. I'm leaving you with your jay bird to die. Tell Dad I hate him." The boiling rage held up for so long would be enough to melt the entire mountain's snow. Fire Opal stared after her second son, and wondered where she went wrong. Fire Opal: "Tell Lichen that he failed you." Even she knew that she was shoving back blame. But dangers come from the dark; and everything she had abandoned was coming to finish her. Lichen, Dodo, Blood Sky, Tiger's Eye, Horizon, Onion.. everyone she had ever wronged was going to destroy her. Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. "Fire Opal- come o-" "I'm fine." "What..? No, come on, your son nee-" "Bronze, take care of Jay." Bronze flinched, but it seemed so distant now: "But what about the tribe? You need to pick a leader-" "Horizon, good luck." "WAIT-" Fire Opal turned to the balance bear. Truffle flashbacks "Moose, I'm coming up."
  5. I think the best part of this playthrough is that each character's different perspectives. For example, having to see the actions and motives of Quartz gave a lot more depth to her actions rather than just ambition; she thought her family was too weak after Truffle's death and needed stronger nichelings to survive. Salvador's plot where he ended up leaving the Frozens to join the Burnings to be more useful was something major that would've had no effect if it weren't for his own perspective and motives instead of just selfishness, etc. I also really like the dynamic of Tiger's Eye and Evergreen having so many parallels. I love to write about them because of how different yet similar they are. Tiger's Eye, one of the most powerful nichelings, being a pacifist is a concept I think more stories should have; Evergreen behind pressured to replace her and avenge her family had caused her to lose herself and her own personality, which should generate hatred. Although now that they realize they're exactly the same, I think it'll be hard for either to fight each other without guilt. The twist with Tiger's Eye realizing Almond abandoned her is the cherry on top. Evergreen had needed power her entire life, and finally had a chance to be peaceful; Tiger's Eye on the verge of insanity even though she's never wanted to hurt anyone. But all I'm going to say is that the outcome of this confrontation is.. interesting, to say the least.
  6. My-Family-20-Jun-2021-232051521.html Tell me if I missed anyone (some characters who aren't related to anyone else are unincluded)
  7. Rebirth Onion and his group had reached the hotsprings. Onion called out. "Fire Jade? We're back." Oh. That's who was left here. That's why Onion was freaking out when the child got eaten by the bird. Onion looked defeated when nobody responded. Looks like it was too late anyways. Moose held off the balance bear as Fire Opal jumped back, making a nest for her child. It looked like it would suffer the same fate that Fire Opal had given to Evergreen; it would never grow up with a father. Karma had struck in the worst possible way. Tiger's Eye and Evergreen faced eachother. Polar opposites, yet so similar; one excited, positive, and one planning, cautious. Almost identical. Evergreen realized how similar she and her sister were; same tail, same face and eyes, same claw and paw, almost the same color. And for a second, Evergreen realized that Tiger's Eye was exactly.. her. Hated Almond for being manipulated and forgotten. Hated having to be the center of everything, and just wanting to.. disappear. Hated to do everything she had ever done because someone told her it was the correct thing to do. Under the circumstances, Evergreen had been told by Laika and Almond that she needed to become the queen, at any cost. Laika told her to avenge her father and kill Emu and Firecracker while she distracted. Tiger's Eye had been told that she needed to join the Burnings, or her tribe will pay the price. And for once in their lives, Evergreen and Tiger's Eye mutually realized something; They were a replica of Truffle and Brownie. Almost as if they were reborn.
  8. Royals, Ramfoxes and Revenge Short build-up post Evergreen grabbed Pomegranate, a now adult, and shoved him forwards with Laika. Mud couldn't dictate who she did and didn't save. Evergreen hadn't been particularly fond of children. But she knew Laika always wanted them. And plus, it would be just like Parrot and Forest. The legacy lives on. The group was shocked to see Horizon and Salvador on the front lines. And behind them- oh no. She had heard rumors of another poison-fanged nicheling wandering the territory of the Burnings, this one being a pacifist. But her fate was right ahead of her, in those mercifully anger-filled eyes. wait- merciful? Onion and his party trekked onwards. But they had no idea they had been a little too late. Fire Opal and Bronze fought against a hoard of ramfoxes as Dodo started to come towards them, the balance bears in pursuit. Three collisions.. but in all cases, only one comes out on top.
  9. In Pursuit of the Crowns Double post today because I feel like it Horizon raised her ears. Fire Opal, Fire Diamond and Firecracker also heard. Horizon glanced around. "Who-" Firecracker growled excitedly and angrily. "The Frozens. I recognize Evergreen's voice, that pitiful excuse of a nicheling." Moose smiled evilly. "Let's get them." "But-" Fire Opal glanced around. "Where's Fire Ruby? And that beige one?" "Fire Ruby can defend herself. Onion will be fine aswell." Moose explained. "And Fox Heart! Where did she go?" Tiger's Eye raised herself upwards. The usual shine in her eyes were gone and filled with a demoralizingly haunting darkness. "No time. Let's go." Moose responded. The group travelled on. Arctic heard a snap behind them, and saw Fox Heart snapping the neck of a rogue. "Close call." Arctic's suspicion rose once more, but they didn't worry about it too much. They just worried of the journey ahead. Dragonfruit began to trek across the tundra, looking for the Burnings in the direction they left. She stood on a stump and jumped on a rabbit like a hungry wolf. The first fresh food she had eaten in her entire life. Blood froze on her snout from the frost. Dragonfruit wanted the blood to be drenched all over her fur; it felt like a cover to the snows. And she knew exactly whose it would be. Tiger's Eye had lost every aspect of herself. The fury in her had finally broken free. All she wanted was to end the lives of those who wronged her. Those who didn't care. And for a minute, she reflected on whether or not genocide was a good idea. And realized how much Salvador had suffered. 'You've left all behind for yourself.. all that's left is to live with your consequence.' was true, she finally realized it. Salvador had been practically useless in the Frozens, blending into the crowd. He didn't effect anyone when he decided to leave. Nobody cared about him, they would leave him in the dust during the first danger spotted. LIKE POMEGRANATE Because of Evergreen, a more powerful and less merciful version of Tiger, she would have suffered the same fate as him. Forever in the shadow of those around her, the only escape being a new party as a whole. . But what would be the consequence? The constant shadows of the ones you left. The threat of a war. Getting hunted down by 2 superpowered females for your entire life. Salvador was useful here, and nobody was hunting him down. In fact, he had finally found his.. calling. And it made Tiger realize how she would find something she had been searching for her entire life; Acceptance for who she really was. And that would be the key to happiness. Horizon was destined to be a leader. She would be happier like that. It's her own calling. Fox Heart enjoyed giving nichelings a goal; living up to their fates. Her own calling. This Evergreen person had found her own as well; leadership. Tiger never had found hers.
  10. The Forgotten Children Onion assembled a group of nichelings to come with him back to the old camp. Arctic decided to come along; they wanted to adventure back to their birthplace. Arctic didn't know why Onion wanted to go back; but they enjoyed knowing the secrets of everything on this mountain, so they didn't question it. But Onion had a dark secret that might be his doom. Elsewhere, Dragonfruit pulled herself out of the hotsprings; she had waited all her life for the snow to thaw and for her to leave the watery prison. Little did she know, that what she had wished for had finally arrived. But Dragonfruit didn't actually care anymore. Or at least, told herself that. If only she had waited a little longer.. Meanwhile, Moose and Dodo fended off the two balance bears, roaring into action in pursuit of the king. "IF MOOSE DIES I CALL DIBS ON THE TRIBE" Horizon hollered as she jumped behind Fire Opal, a great show of heroic strength that reassured Moose that he had doomed the tribe to a horrible end. But Moose didn't know of all the traditions Fire Opal carried; he honestly could care less about Horizon. Her show of horrid bravery made him more determined to win and defend the Burnings. Evergreen had heard someone holler in the distance. Iris shook in fear. "It's.. it's the Burnings. Moose is their king.." Evergreen grabbed Laika and shoved her forwards. "Run! We're in no state to fight!" Rowan called out as she began to hesitantly run. "What about burying Father's bones?" "No time!" Evergreen turned around and saw Pomegranate slowly running behind, preparing to turn back for him. "Come on!" "Just go! Nobody is related to him anyway. Nobody will care." Mud grabbed Evergreen's arm and hauled her away, Rowan shoving her forwards. Pomegranate couldn't process it; he was already fighting for his life, against his own tribe.
  11. 'Sneak peak' of next post: "IF MOOSE DIES I CALL DIBS ON THE TRIBE" Horizon hollered as she jumped behind Fire Opal, a great show of heroic strength that reassured Moose that he had doomed the tribe to a horrible end.
  12. Horizon's Heritage Moose and his nichelings had finally cornered the balance bear, preparing for a flurry of attacks on it once and for all. But then, a roar sounded from upwards on the slope. Turning, Moose was faced with a nightmare he knew all too well. A second balance bear had arrived, preparing to shred the Burnings apart. Evergreen and Rowan came to the slaughter spot. Evergreen pulled back the snows in faked disbelief, seeing the frozen bones of Parrot and Emu. Her mind flashed the images of Parrot's melting muzzle and looked out to sea, expecting to see Firecracker falling under the waves as venom ate up her arm. Rowan grabbed her father's skull, her face unreadable: "What happened to Mother?" She pawed at the other skull, the melted spots hidden under fresh snow. "This is Parrot, I can tell from how twisted it is." Evergreen: "I'm more concerned about what killed them." She tapped her claw, thinking of an excuse: "Injuries from Slasher, old age? The flesh monster? A balance bear?" Rowan was silent. Evergreen almost pitied her; she knew what it was like to lose a parent you've never met. Almost. As Firecracker left, Horizon approached Tiger's Eye. Horizon: "What did you talk about?" Tiger: "Firecracker wants me to.. kill someone.." Horizon had the same thought as Tiger had herself; she could see it in her eyes. "Who?" Tiger: "Another nicheling with venom. And a few others. Well, the entire Frozen Empire." Horizon's gaze shifted to relief. "Good. Not any of us." Tiger took a deep breath. "Horizon, I need to tell you something." Horizon raised an eyebrow: "What?" Tiger: "Long ago, when I was just a child, the Burnings came and took me, you and Salvador away while you were very young. And now, Moose wants you to become the next queen." Horizon paused, but then, began laughing. "You think I didn't know that?" Tiger was a bit taken aback. Horizon continued: "I was trailing behind the group a bit, remember? I heard them say something I think you shouldn't have heard. But I think you should now." Tiger stared at her sister: "What..?" Horizon stared at Tiger, her gaze turning to cold seriousness. "Mother said, 'Why do we need Tiger's poison when we can use this one's?' when our sister, this venomous villain, was born." Tiger felt everything around her collapse in on itself. Everything seemed to slow. Everything had always been pointing to this being the truth. Mother- no, she shouldn't be called my Mother anymore, just Almond- had never come to save her. She was always cold to Tiger shortly after this new poisonous nicheling was born. Yet it still hurt. She pitied herself. But from pity, comes anger. And from anger, comes vengeance. The poisonous pacifist had reached her breaking point.
  13. And also sidenote anyone know what pattern this is? Blind genes are on and I really like this one
  14. Since school has finished, I'm going to probably start posting whenever I have time (and shorter posts) so I don't have to put it off for a while because of moving.
  15. Sidenote: Iris and Mud both have 9 days on their lifespans. It feels like they were just born- jeez time flies
  16. The Curse of the Cold Fire Jade sat in the hotsprings, steaming water coiling around her nose as she slumped in the heat. Although she would never admit it to anyone, every day she sat in the hotsprings, she was simply hoping that out there, her family was coming home, back to her, back to save her from the tundras. All her life, she had been told to be tough and act strong. Did her attempt to do that so long ago, as a child, cause all this? The first few days, she knew they were fighting off a balance bear. So she didn't worry. Then she began hoping they were done now, returning to help her. Afterwards, she started getting doubts, but stayed optimistic. But by now, she knew they had forgotten about her. There was no denying that nobody had ever cared about her. Fire Jade slept in the calming bubble of the hotsprings. She had stayed here for her family and for fear of the dangers of the mountain. She then had a dream. She saw the skies from above, she bore the wings of a dragon, and she feared nothing. She had faced her fear and had embraced her destiny. Fire Jade thought for a long time. And soon, she came to a conclusion of what she had to do. When Fire Jade awoke, she was a new nicheling. She was now Dragonfruit. And she was determined to be remembered. Hurricane had failed. She had only wanted to be Parrot's mate, the second she saw him. Sure, she had been his mate, but she was too late. Every single second of his disappearance, Hurricane just wanted to know if Parrot was okay. She needed to save him, after all. She told herself she would. But now, as she rose into the Constellation, she realized it would have been too late anyways. Acidic poison ate away at her hope quickly. Pomegranate would need to go on without her. Arctic was fighting off the balance bear. Their Empire had been split by the bear. And as they looked back, they saw Fire Opal's newest child. Fire Opal turned away from it: "We'll leave it here until we can get back. It can stay in the hotsprings there." Onion's face showed emotion for the first time; a glimpse of guilt. But it faded away. Arctic wondered what he was hiding. Fire Ruby also looked uncomfortably towards the child, but less so. Arctic felt an urge to ask the two what had happened, but they resisted. Pomegranate stayed back to mourn his mother for a day as the rest of the group searched. Without words, Evergreen had become the temporary leader. In the distance, he heard her, Rowan, and Fearless arguing about how to punish Mud and Laika. Evergreen was stubborn about having Emu and Firecracker punish them, but the siblings insisted that they should be killed now. Pomegranate knew exactly how they were feeling, as he had felt it his entire life; My parents are dead, no matter what everyone says. They can't accept it, and they baby me because I'm still a child and they think I'm an idiot. But I'm not. The more they tell me things are fine. The more they aren't. As Arctic fought on, they heard a shriek of terror from behind them. They turned, and saw a hawk carrying away the newborn child. They felt a strong wave of guilty sadness, a potential life lost once more. Onion's face turned into shock, and Fire Ruby exchanged a terrified glance with him. They're hiding something.. related to a child dying. And from what I can tell, the more you hurt others, the more vicious they are in vengeance. Firecracker pulled aside Tiger's Eye. Firecracker: "Listen. You have venom, correct?" Tiger's Eye nodded slowly: "Why..?" Firecracker suddenly grabbed a clover wrap around her upper arm. Tiger's Eye saw a horrible dent, stuffed with clover, which was pulled out to reveal a black-blood combination along the edges of the scar. Firecracker: "This is a venom wound. I was bitten and thrown into the sea by one of your kind. The wound froze up, stopping the poison. When Alecto was born, I made her burn out as much as possible, and I'm going to get healed by your purr snout nicheling. Once I convince her too, anyhow." Tiger's Eye couldn't process all this, and eventually said: "There's.. another nicheling with poison here?" Firecracker nodded: "She's also immune to it." Tiger's Eye exhaled with relief. The pressure to use her 'gift' was lifted quite a bit with this news. Firecracker: "But listen. She's taken over the Frozens. Almost everyone supports her." Tiger's relief vanished quicker than it had come. Did that mean- Firecracker: "You're going to have to kill them, every last one." You will bring death to this island, one nicheling at a time.
  17. Sorry for no post today, moving company came over to take pictures of our house to sell, got distracted and busy lol
  18. Cannot post today because moving is difficult! Sorry bout that.
  19. The Smolder in the Snows Happy Pride Month Everyone! No matter if you're closeted or out, I hope you enjoy this lovely June <3. Also, sorry for the shorter post! School's final turn in date is today so I couldn't play too much :c Tiger's Eye distanced herself from the Empire, looking down at her claw. She could never imagine killing anyone. The only things she had ever hurt were things that threatened the Empire, like giant murderous bears. Other nichelings? Not so much. Now that she had been in both Empires, she realized that every nicheling has their own story. Quartz had created a separate Empire to resist a monarchy-type rule. So that she could live up to her mother's unreachably good legacy. So she would be as remembered like Brownie and Truffle. She had succeeded.. but did the ends of that tale really justify the means? Tiger's Eye went to a hotsprings to stay warm and think. A little rabbit seemed to watch her with wide eyes. Rabbits are lucky. They can control their fate. The little white hare looked at Tiger's Eye warmly, as if saying, you can, too. But I can't. She slumped down in the heated waters. For one moment, it felt nice to not have any responsibility and to just sit there, with zero worry. Like she was a child, once again. Sinking deep into the calming smoke rising from the hotsprings, she fell asleep and let every bad thing to come fade into darkness. Evergreen was worried. Iris and Carrion were planning to search for Firecracker, Emu and Parrot once the snow cleared. What if they found melted bones? What then? She wanted to become a child again, before she learned of how to rule over the tribe. But she couldn't sit back and enjoy a day; she had an Empire to manage. The only way to be happy is by having power. Salvador: "I can hear something.. Like, someone, calling." Fire Diamond, raising higher on her hindlegs: "Me too." Horizon looked at them awkwardly: "Uh- yeah. Me too." They cleared the snow carefully, as they heard the cries of a small child. Who is- A balance bear came from the undergrowth, causing the group to race through the snows. A heat-bodied female and a small child were sitting in a heated clearing. Salvador: "What- who-" ?: "My name is Firecracker. This is my daughter, Alecto. I need your help." Horizon, raising her head and fluffing up her fur to look more regal: "What for?" Firecracker: "I know where the Frozens are. I want vengeance." Before Salvador could process it, he realized he would have to face off against them again. . The consequence for leaving to join the Burnings.. Salvador had left the Frozens long ago, in pursuit of a place that would allow him to finally be of use to someone. But now, the past was coming, and the echoes of a thousand spirits were raining down on him. He had been selfish. And he was going to pay the price for it. Firecracker: "They're thin on numbers. And they can be squashed as easily as a rabbit at this point." Horizon smirked, not knowing she would fight her own family: "Lead the way." . Somewhere in a hotsprings, Tiger's Eye woke up. The relaxation was gone. She needed to face her future once again. As quickly as her sadness returned, the rabbit from before scurried away, and the childlike joy of no responsibility hit her again. That child who was left in a hotsprings must be living nicely. They were forgotten with the snows and their thoughts, no responsibility and no worries. But this poison everyone calls a gift has ruined me. Tiger's Eye pulled herself from the hotsprings. She would need to live with the burden of her venom her entire life. And it melted at her as easily as a Smolder in the Snows could melt at the thin raft of ice the Frozens were on, forever decimating with no escape.
  20. The Psychic Fox Heart lore go brr Evergreen walked from the crime scene, watching snow pile onto the bones of those she'd killed. She was a monster, and she knew it. But if she was already a monster, why stop now? Preparing her lies, she went into the snows and found the others. Little did Fearless know, right in front of them, was their father's murderer. While returning to the camp, Fearless was so excited to meet their sister, they jumped into the snow as it flew up all over Laika and Mud. The two prisoners were unfazed; Laika was looking at Evergreen smugly, who returned the gaze. A chill went up Carrion's spine; what were they thinking? Meanwhile, Fox Heart pulled Tiger's Eye, Salvador and Horizon aside. Fox: "I have something to tell you all." Tiger's Eye was concerned for the young nicheling: "What is it?" Fox: "I have the ability to foretell the future." Salvador stared at Fox Heart for a long moment: "..You do..?" Fox nodded, grinning. Her eyes shone like two stars against the snowy hills. It was almost haunting: "Somewhere on this mountain, 2 nichelings have recently died." She looked up. "They're up there now." Tiger's Eye and Salvador shared a glance. Horizon raised an eyebrow. Fox's eyes shifted to a blazing inferno: "And somewhere else, a child as fierce as fire has been born." A hotsprings with a rock and a gray child appeared in her gaze: "Nearby, a gray nicheling with a bruised tail is preparing her vengeance." Tiger's Eye thought for a moment. Who had she seen with a bruised tail? And gray? Whoever she was, she was quite forgettable. And a child as fierce as fire.. was it a Burnings nicheling? Nobody had been born recently. Unless I've forgotten them. Horizon broke the silence with a skeptical tone: "We should tell Moose and Fire Opal becau-" Fox, interrupting: "Because they've seen Fire Ruby's healing and anti-aging ability? And they're saying you're sacred, because of your horns, so you trust them?" She can foretell the future. And the past, it seems. Horizon was at a loss for words, almost as if someone had just told her she had been kidnapped by the Burnings for her horns. Salvador: "Y-You're right.. we need to tell Moose and Fire Opal." Fox: "I can foretell that this will go nicely.." There was something haunting in her tone, but Tiger's Eye shrugged it off. Fox Heart had always been somewhat ominous. The group went back to the rest of the tribe. Tiger's Eye hesitated. There was something.. terrifying.. about knowing her future. Hearing something that I'm going to do that I can't change.. it must be crushing. But she was also curious. What if her future was nice? After all, fate is fate. No matter what Fox Heart says, it will happen. She can't be stopped until she knows her destiny has been fulfilled. It made her feel powerful, something she was new to feeling. Even though she was the only venomous nicheling on the entire mountain, she had never felt powerful with her abilities before. Rather scared of them. And it made her feel pulled to knowing her path. She followed Fox Heart, preparing to know her fate. There was no looking back now. Fearless ran up to their almost-identical sister, Rowan. The pair had only three differences; age, snout and claws. But neither seemed to care. Fearless: "Where's my other sibling? I thought there were three of us, since Mother began expecting another child after you." Rowan raised an eyebrow: "She went off to Emu and Evergreen.." All eyes turned to Evergreen, who put on a fake concerned face over her true satisfaction. Her mind played the scene of Firecracker crashing into icy waves as steam from her heat body wove into the clouds above. It felt wrong, but so amazing. Nobody can stop me, but you. She stared at Fearless, her haunting ambition overshadowed by shock: "Emu and Firecracker went after you and Carrion. Firecracker didn't want another child until she knew the threat had been contained." Fearless felt a piece of herself die. Mother is missing.. and it's all my fault. I wanted to capture the prisoners to prove myself strong.. but I ended up getting Mother and Father lost in the storm. They dropped their gaze to their paws: "We'll have to search for them when the storm ends. Mother should be fine, she has a heat body, and Father can protect her." Suddenly, Hurricane piped up: "What about Parrot?" Evergreen stared at Hurricane with sad eyes: "He went with them. I thought he told you." Hurricane looked as if Evergreen had just told her she was going to kill Pomegranate by drowning him in snow. Fearless found it a bit suspicious that Evergreen had changed her story, but shrugged it off as just another detail she had just been asked. Tail curled tightly around Pomegranate, Hurricane stared up into the clouds. Parrot, please stay safe and survive the storm. Your son needs you. After explaining Fox Heart's abilities, all the nichelings gathered around to hear about their futures. Arctic watched with suspicion, but Tiger's Eye wanted to go after her siblings. Fox: "Salvador." She stared at him, her eyes the color of a melting iceberg, "You've left all behind for yourself.. all that's left is to live with your consequence." Salvador stared at her emotions beyond words. Tiger's Eye wondered what that meant. Melting Ice.. the Frozens? He left the Frozens for his own gain? Why? And what gain? Tiger's Eye barely had time to wonder what it meant when Fox Heart turned to Horizon. Horizon lifted her head as Fox spoke, her eyes shifting to a fiery crown: "Horizon, you are destined to become the great leader of the Burnings. Your horns grant you the power of the Blood Constellations from above.. Use it wisely, and you will rule over this Empire." Tiger's Eye knew what the Constellations were; when Empire citizens die, they join their Empire's Constellation. Ever star on the speckled sky was another Island's Constellation residents. From here, she couldn't tell which of those stars were Quartz, Blood Sky or Brownie. "And you." Tiger's Eye looked at Fox Heart with a frightened yet curious gaze. Fox Heart looked hypnotic, as if she was searching Tiger's Eye through her own eyes. It made chills go down her spine. A black, liquid skull appeared in Fox Heart's eyes. "You will bring death to this island, one nicheling at a time." And Tiger's Eye knew she couldn't stop it.. nothing could. I'm a monster, and I always have been for my venom.. It's too late to stop now.
  21. We don't actually know what breed she is, but I assume mixed between a gray striped cat species and Bengal/Ocicat because she's absolutely insane or cuddly and adorable, no inbetween
  22. moving is very difficult, including when a speedy little cat is constantly trying to escape.. stares aggressively at vicious miniature tiger hybrid
  23. So far, have only used mutations for Almond (poison fangs) and maybe Thornbush (saber fangs) Fire Jade has also grown into a teen as of right now.
  24. Currently, planning to do something with Firecracker making a rebel group against Evergreen. Evergreen herself has met up with Fearless, Carrion and the Slasher followers claiming that Parrot, Emu and Firecracker went after them but vanished or something manipulative like that. Arctic is going to have their own character arc involving Horizon, Tiger's Eye, Salvador and Fox Heart soon, Onion is gonna plot another attack That I hopefully won't put off for like 4 weeks and all in all, utter chaos is going to go down. The thing I love to write about the most!
