  2. so basically the mutations mean a creature has a 50% chance of passing that gene on to its offspring if it is put in the mutation slot instead of any other gene they could have passed on. lets say i have two creatures, one with dominant short snout and recessive poison fangs, another with dominant short snout and recessive digging trunk. i put cracker jaw in the mutation menu of the recessive poison fangs nicheling, and they breed. lets say then the other nicheling passes on digging trunk, and the nicheling with cracker jaw in its mutation menu gets the 50% chance and passes on cracker jaw, this means the baby has digging trunk and cracker jaw in its genes, also meaning the baby will display cracker jaw because it is more dominant. if the gene mutated was recessive to digging trunk however, the baby would display digging trunk instead, with the mutated gene recessive.

hopefully that example made sense, i kind of made it overcomplicated for no reason :v

: Have you set yourself goals for 2019?

well i want to get better at art (and maybe start animating a 3- minute long video i want to make, but i want to get really good at art first, so maybe 2020) and want to just get a social life lmao

question: this is kinda stupid compared to all the other philosophical questions, but what is your least favourite gene in Niche? for me its spiky body i just hate it

My pantheon just grew in todays play sessions. I really love this guy.

Plumstar (Plumspring)- big, white male with a huge pitch black almost racoon mask, purr snout, green eyes, double runners leg and swimming tail, he was sick due to having double home island immunity. God of determination.

He was ambitious and had a high sense of morals, always believing in himself and greatful when others gave him a chance. He was born into the reincarnation of RiverClan, first under Softstar who gave him a good mentor and proper training and then later as deputy under Hollystar who trusted him to lead  her clan. He never thought he’d get this far, which made him very humble but he was also never ready to ever give up. He was almost bursting with pride when he got his first apprentice a healthy young male named Redpaw and later he was proud and ready to train a young tom who had the same sickness as him. At that point he was already deputy. And when he became leader he was the first to leap into battle, not afraid to offer up his nine lives to his clan even though he would live shorter than them and was already sick. His clanmates loved and appreciated him.

I really hope you named redpaw redheart, I had a nicheling called redheart once (and then redstar!) and he was one of my favorite nichelings

Edit: I.just looked In the family tree and he is redspeckle lol, that is also a good name

  6. I had a dream once the game just magically updated with a rework of the game, the graphics were redone and every. Single. Suggestion in the forums was added. It was really confusing, and now I'm happy that not many suggestions are added (well, not as many as in the dream) because then I can get used to the new things slowly.

there could be an option over the nicheling (like with the purr snout) to blend into surroundings.

oooh this is a good idea too! maybe the camoflauge could only last for a few days, and then you would have to wait another day to camoflauge again? it may not be realistic because chameleons are, well, overpowered, but it would work for the game to balance it! It would be so cool to see an animation of the creature's fur slowly turning the colour of the biome!

I would make them point upwards, seeing as that's generally how people picture crabs holding their claws. Plus, it looks a wee bit silly having them just sort of dangling down like that :D

yeah i think i agree after i drew them out, it looks more like a crab, plus that's how crabs have their claws so its more realistic

  9. I finished it! im not sure its on the same island or they have the same ages or immunity genes, but i recreated the nichelings as closely as I could. they all have the same patterns, fur colours and visible genes, but some recessive genes may be different. Also, the nichelings have different portraits and family tree photos because I had to use console, but none of the other glitches should affect it. also dont mind the albino wanderer is technically not a wanderer and a child of adam and eve, but i gave him different immunities so it doesnt matter. and i may have swapped around sunflower and buttercup, and the child of the albino wanderer is an adult, i couldnt turn her back into a baby and she hasnt been named.

lastly, i invited in a really cute wanderer, and a few more have spawned. enjoy the savefile, and tell me if there are any improvements I could make for you or creatures I could add. if you celebrate christmas, consider this a gift!

  10. ok, hear me out here.

if you know how to put savefiles in your game, i could recreate this tribe (obv. not with the same immunities or island, and probably slightly different ages) in an hour or so (probably even less). i've never lost a save before, but i would be devestated if that happened to me. im gonna start work on it now, maybe it could be a christmas gift?

  11. this sounds pretty overpowered for avoiding predators, but at the same time I love this idea! I would say you would have to have stood on a tile for each of the biomes and have a nicheling with atleast 3 camoflauge to unlock it, and have it be rare in wanderers, because then i think it would be balanced enough. again, really cool idea!
