  1. I like the ideas but the building costs are too drastically high/low imo. I get the benefits and cons of the different nests warrant the costs in your mind but to me just seems like the building costs would really skew the difficulty of the game in certain situations. PS I suggested a sort of minor reverse button that might help with nest building if you built a nest and didn't mean to (therefore just undoing and not wasting precious material).
  2. I posted this on the Steam site, but I saw a lot more activity here so thought I would float the idea to this community as well. Came up with this idea after several accidental clicks that resulted in moves instead of breeds or nesting, then next morning the creature was dead and I couldn't do anything about it. Also perhaps when you move under a coconut tree without meaning to (so you don't get stuck) or into water on your last AP. There would be reasonable restrictions to this feature/button, of course, so that it could not be used to undo a bad decision so much as for functional accident protection. Perhaps the line would be drawn to where if something immediately is changed by your AP move (like breeding or a fight) the option would be greyed out to undo. I'm not seeing this idea for a function as something that removes consequences or overpowers the player, just something to give more players (maybe even children who make accidents quite often) a little bit more lenience with their strategy implementation. It could even be toggled in settings or something if you want your accidents to really affect you no matter what. It's just that I got very frustrated and dejected in my first playthrough when I screwed up my lineage a couple times. Frantically looked for a reverse turn (which I've seen in a few strategy games on certain modes) and couldn't find one so had to look on as my dynasty crumbled. Oh, and this reversal would also help if for some reason you didn't realize you were controlling an adolescent (maybe it has Big Body and you have a very large tribe) so you started a 3 AP turn to abruptly find out you only had 2 AP to work with. This idea could even extend to nest building if you build a nest on accident then you could simply reverse and not lose valuable material plus another AP by the alternative, breaking the nest. I do get that maybe the developers think that your decisions have so much weight upon them that a proverbial "back button" would not be appropriate, but I was finding that many times these mistakes on my behalf had nothing to do with bad decisions and more to do with graphical display or mouse twitching, hence the limitations on this function. I also have nerve damage in my mouse hand from a car wreck so maybe that's why I had difficulty with AP mistakes, but I really do feel that children, new players, and hardcore strategists alike would all gain more game functionality from a minor AP reverse once in awhile. (Details in Quote) Please let me know what you all think 🍞
