I actually left swimming out on purpose, as I'm pretty sure most raptors couldn't swim

Well all hindlegs are required to have at least 1 speed and 1 swimming so that all creatures will always be able to move regardless of the situation.

  2. Hi, welcome to the forums! Unfortunately the devs have already stated that multiplayer would be too much to implement. However there have been suggestions like this one that try to figure out how to make some form of the idea:

  3. In the case of the pattern, maybe it should be a new gene entirely. One allele would be normal presentation, and another would be a childhood pattern that would work the way you suggested. Other alleles that could fit in this gene slot could be aging patterns, bioluminescence, adult patterns (opposite of childhood patten), tricoloration, countershading, heavy presentation (darker more vibrant), and light presentation (faded pattern).

  4. A different take on shell stats can be found here:

And I like the idea of less speed with the buffer unless it goes below one in which case a creature would have one speed. For example a creature which would normally have three speed would have two and a creature that would have one would still have one but maybe less energy would be a good balance.

  5. Well first here are similar posts:

Now the idea of more tropical fur colors has been growing on me but I feel like people need to remember that fur color and pattern color are incompletely dominant traits meaning that both alleles are mixed and displayed. For example, blue fur might look nice on its own and with red and yellow fur, but what about the rest like moss brown fur? Admittedly I’ve grown to like a blue and moss brown combo but the point still stands when considering other fur colors.

As for my take on more eye colors, I’m all for them! Personally I don’t like the idea of pink eyes but that’s just me. Also I have proposed before that there should be a separate gene slot for all extra eye color traits. This gene could have the alleles normal eye color, mixed (for something like hazel eyes), dominant heterochromia, recessive heterochromia, dominant specs, and recessive specs. (This is also in the order of what I think the dominance should be) For an explanation on these alleles you can go here:

(Also the fur color thing is also talked about here:

When they store food for themselves they don't eat, therefore not wasting an item of food and letting its tribemates have more for them. It'd almost be like not having an animal for a few days. Is that what you mean?

I understand the concept, I personally just don’t understand the application. If I have a humped nicheling collect 6 pieces of food in a starving tribe, I don’t understand why I would want to store any as I would want everybody to eat and my humped nicheling would take one piece of food anyways regardless if it was stored or in the tribe food stash.

  7. An interesting way to take this idea would to have a separate gene for dual horns or not. This way both the dominant and the recessive horns show but the catch is that it can only work if ram horns  (or if any other horn genes are added, genes that wouldn’t conflict in placement) are one of the genes. Then you could have a nicheling with ram horns and antenna for example. Just an interesting thought I had though, I know it’s not super realistic but I thought it’d be pretty cool and worth at least mentioning.

Also maybe there could be a harmful no horns allele that could appear in this gene slot that would block the ability to produce any horns at all even if they would normally be present. That way there could be three alleles no horns > normal presentation > double presentation or something like that. Both of the altering alleles I mentioned would probably be rarer however. Maybe rouge males could carry the no horns gene to make them more detrimental.

This could also make the gene a representation of epistasis as well. An example of epistasis is Labrador fur colors represented by this chart where the “e” allele is melanin production (E can produce melanin, e cannot) and the “b” allele is color (black > brown) (sorry for rambling, this idea got me really going)

  8. An armored head suggestion can be found here:

Also there have been a bunch of volcanic island suggestions here:

Also also, I think that finding wanderers with the genes is a good idea to obtain them but I think that there should be other requirements to unlock them in the mutation menu that may be specific to island. Maybe for the dome head it could be to be hit by coconuts 25 times on the island for example.

Sweet. This would work very well with the horn growth suggestion as well (to lazy to look for the link but it basically has baby Nichelings grow their horns over time instead of instantly)

    I gotcha Jojo:

Banana plant is actually a type of grass. (It doesn't have a wooden trunk.) But it's the biggest grass in the whole worldimage.png.57b1a4238846a725bf2980ee40fcea19.png

Well regardless, it still grows much taller than strawberries so maybe instead of being called trees they can be called starwara plants.
