  1. Tyler nodded. "We need to figure out a plan, and fast. Maybe we could assign a few people to guard each night? So we can keep each other awake and be safe at the same time?" he suggested.
  2. "Otto, silence." Kamado ordered. "I know it seems outrageous, but just listen to me. If Iris's father is the god of death, that means that his aunt is also Fotia. They were triplets, you see. Nekros, Fotia, and the king of the gods. But anyways, if Iris's father is a god and his mother is mortal, that means that he's a demigod. Although not immortal, he would definetley have increased healing abilities. And being the son of the god of death would have its perks. Meaning, even though I thought I killed Iris, his powers and father probably either prevented his death, or allowed for him to come back from the dead. Nekros also has the power to control people's lifespans, and can disintegrate people with a single touch." Kamado pointed to his arm. Otto gulped. Suddenly, Kamado doesn't seem so outrageous, even though his claims are crazy. "So, that explains his newfound powers, but what about his fire powers? Tell me, has Iris ever mentioned a 'voice' in his head? Or has he ever 'lost control'? Eyes glowing? Insane powers? Different voice?"
  3. "I-I don't know..." Otto admitted. Kamado nodded and smirked. "Precisely. The question puzzled me for a long time as well as soon as I learned that he was somehow alive still. I wondered, how is he still alive, and why can he no longer use his powers. And why does he not remember anything either? In an attempt to make sense of everything, I turned to the only somewhat logical explanation. The gods. And my suspicions have been confirmed due to this." Kamado gestured to his ashen-gray arm. "There is only one way Iris Narelle could still be alive, use fire magic, and have done this to my arm. Iris is the son of a god. And not just any god. Nekros. The god of death." Otto stood up and banged his fist on the table. "You're lying! I'm sorry sir, but this is crazy! You expect us to believe that Cedar's best friend of what, 13 years, is the son of a god and is evil? I don't believe it!"
  4. "You're lying!" he exclaimed. "Iris is alive!" Kamado motioned for Otto to be quiet. "Yes, Iris is very much still alive, which brings me to the point in my story about how he lied to all of you. Now, riddle me this. Iris is the son of a Water Kingdom woman, and studied powerful water magic at the academy. Now, how is it that he can no longer use that power, and is instead a fire elementalist?" Otto gulped nervously and shook his head.
  5. "Now, Echo had an interesting tale. She hailed from the Water Kingdom, and was not an elementalist. Not being of any special note, it came as a shock to everyone when she became pregnant and gave birth to a baby boy at the drop of a hat. She had never been seen by the village people with a husband, so everyone wondered how she had managed to have a child. The townsfolk began to follow Echo and keep tabs on her, and noticed that every night she would sneak off to the ocean, and would meet a mysterious man. The townsfolk were obsessed with figuring out who this man was, but one day, when Echo snuck out, the man wasn't there. The next day, her child was born. That night, the sky illuminated with a blinding red flash, and Echo was never seen again. Her son was left as an orphan. The townsfolk were convinced that her child was the spawn of a horrible man, so they sent the baby off to the Capitol. The baby was found by the members of the Academy, and was taken in as a student. The boy excelled in water magic, and was the head of his class. The boy, however, fell victim to the massacre at the Academy, the spark of the war. Iris Narelle was killed that day. And I know, because I was the one who killed him." Otto's mouth fell open in a gasp.
  6. "A long time ago, gods roamed this world with humans. The gods each had different powers, and they even had kinds and rulers. However, one day, the goddess of fire, Fotia, got jealous of how her brother, the king of the gods, had all the power. So, she killed him and dumped his body in the ocean." Kamado gestured out the porthole to the shimmering sea. "The only reason the gods were different from humans was because of this substance called ichor. This magical substance flowed through all god's veins, and gave them powers. When the king of the gods died, his ichor seeped into the mortal world, and every living thing around it became affected by its power. People figured out how to harness this power, and the elementalists were born. Now, after this event, Fotia took over, and the gods haven't been heard from since then. Or so I thought. Although they've gone silent, the gods still very much exist. In fact, before their retreat, there were elementalists called the "Gods Eye", people chosen to act as the sort of voice of a god. The god could influence their thoughts and control their body if they pleased. Now, if someone was possessed by a god, they could eliminate every normal elementalist we have. So, in an attempt to prevent this takeover, my father saw the only logical option being to kill all non-loyal elementalists. Originally, others objected this idea, including myself, until we heard news of this woman named Echo Narelle." Kamado paused to make sure Otto and Cedar were still following.
  7. (ITS BACKKKKK) Kamado chuckled. "I figured as much. So, let me tell you two a little story."
  8. "Let's rewind for a minute. Has Iris ever told you about Fotia or who his parents were?" Kamado asked. Otto shook his head. Oh no... he though.
  9. "Good idea. You." Tyler pointed to Whitetail. "You can smell the area, right? Does anything smell off or different? This death could be accidental, I mean we have no clue what animals are in this forest. And if it's someone in the group, we need to figure out who's sick enough to kill a child, and we need to figure it out soon before someone else dies."
  10. **slight gore descriptions** Tyler nodded and bent down next to the body, examining the wounds. "These wounds... I've never seen anything like them before, they don't look like normal stab wounds or cuts. Other than that though, my guess is he died by bleeding out, as there are no major arteries here." Tyler pointed to where the wounds were scattered.
  11. Tyler walked towards the body, and the uneasy group. "Hey, so, I've dealt with dead people and stuff in the past, and I know a lot about anatomy. Do you mind if I help with the autopsy?"
  12. and everyone in my class says that they can see me as a welder and a mechanic more than a nurse

  15. "I have no clue, but it doesn't look friendly." The creature opened its mouth, revealing rows of sharp teeth. "Yup. I'm gonna run now." Tyler grabbed a fistful of bags of M&Ms and bolted through the gas station door.
  16. Kamado cleared his throat. "Gentlemen, I have some news about Iris. Some news that is not too pleasant, and one that you probably don't want to hear."
  17. Iris rubbed his temples. "This doesn't make any sense, because he's here too!" Iris pointed to Kamado standing dramatically in the stairwell.
  18. I HAVEN'T A CLUE BECAUSE I WASN'T THERE
  19. Tyler smirked, and was about to grab a Hershey's chocolate bar, when someone grabbed him by the shoulder. Tyler whirled around and came face to face with something he had never seen. It looked like a person, except it seemed to be made out of dripping purple and black goo, and seemed to emerge out of the floor. "Young man, what are you doing?" the thing asked. Tyler grabbed a knife from his belt and sliced at the thing's hand. It fell to the ground and dissolved into the floor. "Hey guys, I think the shopkeeper's back, and she's had a really big glow up." he said calmly backing away from the creature.
