The pill bug is small and cute but I think that it could work to make some pretty good genes. The only one would be the Pill Abdomen which would be unlocked by receiving 20 attacks and moving 40 times. The effects would be +1 defence, +1 speed, +1 distasteful appearance. Also when a predator appears and is clearly stronger the nicheling would curl up into a ball and would have +3 defence instead but would roll down hill. Aka if you are on the top of the island and a predator appears the nicheling would curl up and role down to the shore (could be funny). If you aren't on high ground the nicheling would stay there and not move until the predator leaves/dies.
