Like the title suggests this island would have a clearing in the middle with no grass. Surrounding the clearing would be a thick ring of regrowing grass. In the clearing there could be a small lake, roots, permanent nests, bunny burrows, that sort of thing. In the regrowing grass there could be a couple trees, berry bushes, overall more food but more danger from bearenas and bears.
