  1. Spitfire tilted her head back and glared at the predator with wings. "If only I had wings to go and take that bird out of the sky. At least dodomingo''s only steal nesting spots, but have sense enough not to attack the babies. Well what are you going to do with them?"
  2. Nneka frowned as she glanced at the food pile. She felt they needed to launch another mission of hunting and fishing. Gathering berries was not sufficient. Most bushes she knew about were the barren bushes and the cactus bushes which were a horrible source of food due to injuries sustained by them. "Where is Queen Mable?" she grumbled. Her duty was to protect her above all else, but it was difficult to keep track all day and all night long without someone to take the day while she took the night.
  3. Davu let out a roar, for he had gotten lost from his brother. "Brother! Where are you?" He shivered and glanced down the mountain. With a gulp, he turned from the height and began his trek toward the steam. That had to mean there was warmth ahead!
  4. Spitfire quirked a brow. "When did you give birth? Where's their sire? Why didn't you tell me? Was it a rogue male? I knew I should have stuck with you! I would have given the rogue male what for."
  5. Scup awoke from his slumber underneath the sea upon his bed of alga. With a blink he lifted himself up and turned his head, looking for Junebug.
  6. Skanarr nodded. "This is true. I'll be nearby to help nonetheless. Bearyena's are bad news. But if you can take it down at least there'll be meat and fur for gifts and exchange. The bones and teeth might make nice ornaments, music, or warnings." Although he never stayed long in one area so he let Pidgeon keep everything save for what he needed not to starve himself. @Skysplash8
  7. Stream licked her chest as her stomach growled. She glanced at Brook before taking the offered root. "Th-thank you." Spitfire with a pile of meat of mole and rabbil followed the trail of her sisters dig spots and melted snow. "Pineleaf! What have you got there? Intruders?"
  8. Skanarr nodded. "You're welcome. Now I don't mean to alarm you, but I believe I've got a hostile Bearyena to deal with." It wasn't too far from the Ancient Oak and its caretaker, but he was certain he could distract it, lead it away, and whittle away its lifespan.
  9. Stream stared up at the adult female and mewed. "We got lost and if we don't keep moving we get too cold." She was always with her sister. With that bird though, well they couldn't move out from underneath a tree. The tree meant safety, but she worried that the bird could still get them.
  10. This is for all the various factions/kingdoms/tribes to meet each other, but when its just those that live in that specific area for more private conversations amongst their own those threads exist. Can use both.
  11. Stream glanced up where her sister did. "Not good." She gazed toward the tree. "Let's go."
  12. (Aww well you're welcome ;3. Notice anything about nichling creator and the lack of any but blue toxic body in it for viewing? Also if you make any more male nichlings I'll have to consider them ;3 ) Stream, standing beside her sister, huffed. "Where go?"
  13. Acornia's tail flicked as she glanced over the waters of the sea, wishing she could breathe beneath its waves and collect the shells in the depths. Yet out there she could see no oak tree. With a sigh, she turned from the shores and looked in the direction of the grasslands where one large oak stood out with just a couple of smaller ones. She wished there were more so she could have her very own. Those three must already be claimed what with there being so few of them.
  14. There's quite a difference still between the movie, mini-series and the Watership Down book. Although it is an older and rather longish read. I think I only read one Horses of the Dawn book thus far... unless it was a different horse series. I kind of wish they'd make a series for Wolves of the Beyond. Yeah Warriors is full of a lot of flaws, but I still enjoy reading it despite its flaws even though those same flaws get frustrating/annoying.
  15. This is connected to the thread Lands Lost to Time . (This is to make things a wee bit more organized) @Skysplash8 The current ruler of the Grasslands, but he probably doesn't realize it, is Pidgeon who is played by Skysplash8. Wolverine's steal fish from the Navarre Pond @Brokenshock and are generally a dangerous nuisance. They also eat the rabbils which is a food source for many non berry pickers in the grasslands. Inside a hollow of the Ancient Oaktree is the long lost crown of the grasslands rulers made of petrified wood and petrified acorns. Sometimes an owl-like creature will nest in the hollow when a chipmunk or squirrel isn't using it.
  16. This is connected to the thread Lands Lost to Time . (This is to make things a wee bit more organized) The current ruler of the Swamplands is King Axlarr who is played by Trinket. Snake's like to hang out in the swamp trees. Although they are dangerous to those without poison resistance! Beneath a swampy mangrove tree covered in snake's there is an ancient treasure as well as a hidden entrance to a subterranean world.
  17. This is connected to the thread Lands Lost to Time . (This is to make things a wee bit more organized) @Aetherskye The current ruler of the Mirahl Jungle is no one for the royal family disappeared. There are very few nichlings in Mirahl at the moment due to dangers from apes, but there is at least one baby nichling The fossa are hungry. Are nichlings on the menu? Will the lost amazon village ever be discovered again? Will any of their descendants return, if any of their bloodlines ever survived?
  18. This thread is connected to Lands Lost to Time. (This is to make things a wee bit more organized) @Brokenshock The current leader of the Lagoon Pod is Junebug who is played by Brokenshock. Some Moray eels have been laying eggs somewhere in the lagoon. Pirate's of the past left treasure somewhere buried beneath the lagoon.
  19. This thread is connected to Lands Lost to Time. (This is to make things a wee bit more organized) @Aetherskye The current ruler of the Savanna is Queen Mable who is played by Aetherskye. At one of the few, or even only watering holes this critter and their family is being very territorial and not allowing others to get a drink. It may also have had something to do with the death of a previous leader or two.
  20. This is connected to the thread Lands Lost to Time. (This is to make things a wee bit more organized) @Brokenshock The current ruler of the Snowy Mountains is Queen Raven who is played by Brokenshock. There are Macaque's who like to take up space in the largest of the hot springs. There is a treasure that Raven's parents left her and her sister hidden among the hot springs. Perhaps the snow monkey's know where such treasures hide.
  21. "The mountains... don't think I've ever been quite this far before. Sorry. Also thanks for the pelt." He held out a healing fruit, "Will this do for a trade of keeping it?" Even if he didn't need it for up in the mountains, it would be nice to line the nest back home. Were his mate still alive she would have liked it. At least he had their son and three daughters. "If no one minds, could I pick some toxic berries?" His stomach growled. "I have one more of these in exchange. Its not food, so..." his late mate could have used one, but the bearyena of the past had dealt too much damage. It had bitten him afterward and had died the following day. His damage had been healed as his offspring had needed him. Especially his youngest. [[Oh dear]]
  22. In the jungles of the Mirahl island which was separated by a body of water, a smelling ape pounded their chest and let out a roaring-hoot as they jumped down from one of the tall trees. Within a few feet (tiles) of the Ancient Oak Tree, on the lands of Acelle, a bearyena mother and her baby growled as they moved through the tall regrowing grass. A Killer Bearyena, halfway through its lifespan, moved from the grasslands onto the savanna where Acelle and Torva had their borders. In the Lagoon within Torva, angry crabbits of a different color snapped their claws and charged toward anyone and anything they saw. They were followed by many a leech with lurking razorana waiting nearby. Upon the snowy mountains, a pair of Balance Bear's converged and a pack of six ramfoxes growled in communication, angered by the scent of their brethren pelts. From some distant horizon a pair of blue predatory birds flew overhead. One of the birds let out a screech as it swooped down and carried away a rabbil. Droves of dodomingo's were trying to take over every permanent nest they could find in all the lands, save perhaps in Mirahl where they did not appear to be indigenous.
