    How did it go?

oh it's going well! I haven't played with them in a little while but so far I have three Clans, one led by Reta (the largest clan and on the right side of the island). The next Clan is led by Zaloa, daughter of Reta, and is on the left side of the island. The last clan is the most recent and the smallest, and is located right next to Zaloa's clan (it's the four top most nichelings near Zaloa's clan.) This clan has no matriarch yet since there's a rivalry between two females. If I remember correctly one of them might have had a kid though so there might be a matriarch. I hope to have a patriarch one day since though it is super rare with hyenas it is possible. :)

  3. I noticed that at a certain distance or angle from my nichelings a big shadow appears, as if a big cloud were passing overhead or something. The first picture shows this shadow, and as you can see the shadow covers areas that should be light.

After I shifted the camera a little bit the shadow disappeared.

I got that they were different, I was just pointing out they're similar and could have the same stats :) The shorter tail/lack of a tail would mean there would be less body to lose heat from, so it could have cold resistance

Ah okay, sorry for the misunderstanding! I agree with you, I'll add that now!

I have a similar suggestion here:

Would this have any stats? I think +2 cold resistance would work for this as well

I've seen that before but I didn't think that would be the same because this gene completely gets rid of the tail. And by "a tiny stub" I literally meant a tiny stub, it wouldn't be a beneficial bobtail like yours and would be similar to a mara's tail (though I prefer no tail and not a stub). I'm going to edit the post and remove "a tiny stub" to make it clear there should be no tail whatsoever. I think this makes it different enough, what do you think?

Yep! And I guess I can do requests tough it'll take time to complete them as I still have my normal requets, niche edits, island of fire to take care of and my laptop can't handle piskel from time to time. But I'll do these when I get randomly inspired. So what idea did you have? :)

I was thinking of something like the example, except with Vankirvan and the word spelled is, well, Vankirvan haha. If that's too much letters it can just say VKV. You don't have to do it if you don't want to though, it's up to you :D

  7. Stellaluna with her mother Sielsi. These two are nichelings that I have in my Fruitlies Fruit Bat challenge save. I love Stellaluna because she looks like the perfect fruit bat, not only for the challenge but in general. Look at this adorable little guy! I really want gathering added to bat wings so I can have a colony of fruit bats without having to worry about them starving lol.

Inspired by this screenshot with her now late mother. I might do one of her and her father Tangerine (the orange one at the top of the pic) in a tree when she was a juvenile, also based off a screenshot. She grew up so fast even though the challenge requires Nichelings to become adults at 12 days old or something.

Well I planed to but the problem was that the gills aren't on the manta rays head, but on the body.

Ah that's true. What if you replaced the manta fins with a manta body instead that cancels out the paws and adds swimming and underwater breathing? Not sure haha, either way I'd love to have these genes in-game :)

  9. I had to sketch these genes, they sound so cool. I think a straight up manta ray head would be adorable, and though it might seem strange on a nicheling we have feathered wings and beaks so it might not be too weird. Also I feel like +2 or +3 fishing on the cephalic head would be better since manta mouths are greatly adapted for this.

I based the tail off a stingray tail since mantas don't have barbs and I tried with the manta fins. They might be too big for a nicheling but I think the tail and cephalic head would work perfectly. :D

i think that this is a great idea! just like the no horns, but maybe less dominant since i can't see the no-tail being the default 😛

maybe this gene has to be unlocked after having a nicheling with the spiky body invited into our tribe!

Didn't even think of the dominance for this trait! Yeah I could see it being most dominant after medium tail, or maybe even the least dominant.

I was thinking it would be already unlocked from the get-go but I kinda like the sound of that.

  11. Not every animal needs a tail and there are quite a few without one, such as apes (including us), toads, spiders, cabybaras, and agoutis. Some animals have very short tails that serve little to no purpose, like bear or peccary tails. The No Tail gene would be similar to the No Horns gene, pretty much just making the Nicheling have no tail whatsoever. Tails are definitely useful but not necessary for Nichelings. Spiky body Nichelings do just fine without one so I don't think this gene would make life much harder for your little guys.

Could either be unlocked from the get-go or can be unlocked after inviting a spiky body nicheling into your tribe.

    Adds +2 Cold resistance

Possible Icon (I used a random tail)
