medicine cat
Long ago, there was a pantheon of five mighty gods. The white god, Ugila, god of the sea and wishes. The tan wife of Ugila, Ohb; goddess of the sky and fire. and their three children; Neeti, the red goddess of mountains and life force. Kourai, the brown goddess of storms and love. And Icunuse, the black god of wind and dance. They decided that they wanted a tribe on their island that they resided on, so Ugila and Ohb worked together to create a mighty storm that would bring in two nichelings capable of creating a mighty tribe. Two souls wash up unconscious Eerik and Edite. Neeti, Kourai, and Icunuse send them a dream, telling them that they were here to have a mighty foundation on the island and introduce them to the five gods. They suggest that both of them choose a patron god or goddess before fading away and waking them up. Edite stumbles to her paws. "You're Eerik. From the dream." She steps over to him.: "I.. I guess it wasn't just a dream then," he mumbles. "We can make it if we work together. Follow my lead." Eerik chooses Neeti as his patroness, for he is a timid nicheling and wishes that he had her valor. Edite chooses Kourai as her patroness, hoping to be as loving but also as strong as she. Eventually, the two of them inevitably fall in love; Kourai blesses the relationship, and Eerik falls for Edite due to her strong but gentle mannerisms. After some days, they have a child and name her Narcisa. Narcisa is smug, modest, and a survivor. She chooses Ohb as her patroness. "The clan is also joined by Chichi. He is happy and sweet, but has a darker and more serious side. He chooses Ugila as his patron, for he wishes to forget his past and look towards the future. Eerik and Edite have another child; this time, a boy named Vibianu. He chooses Ugila as his patron, his choice inspired by his fascination with the sea. Meanwhile, Chichi and Narcisa are bonding well together. "Maybe you were brought here for a reason," Narcisa muses, looking at Chichi. "Maybe Ugila brought you here to help you forget everything." "Perhaps," Chichi says, nuzzling Narcisa. It isn't long before Chichi and Narcisa have a child of their own, becoming mates. They name their daughter Harshi, and she is calm and artistic. She chooses Icunuse as her patron.
medicine cat
The tribe is joined by Petar, a jolly, relaxed and mischievous male. He chooses Kourai as his patroness. Eerik and Edite have one more child, a girl who Edite believes has a striking similarity to Kourai. She names her Kouraios as a tribute, and raises her to choose Kourai as her patroness. Petar, meanwhile, is rather friendly with Harshi. The two of them become mates and have a child. They name him Linnie. He becomes a devotee of Icunuse like his mother. He is a laid back and jolly nicheling, albeit a bit lazy. Eerik and Edite die, leaving the clan waiting for the next leader. They volunteer Kouraios, saying that she must have a connection with the gods. It is agreed, and Kouraios takes her place as leader. Harshi encourages Linnie to court Kouraios, suggesting that devotees of Kourai are good and loyal lovers, like his father was. Linnie agrees and woos Kouraios. The two of them have Guol. Guol is a docile and easygoing nicheling, but is rather lonely. He takes on Neeti as his patroness in hopes of her giving him more bravery.

medicine cat
Kouraios and Linnie have another child; a female named Veronika. She chooses Icunuse as her patron. Though a bit lazy, she is still cautious when she knows a situation is dire. Soon after, Kouraios and Linnie have another child; Aphrodisios. He chooses Kourai as his patroness. Kouraios realizes that both Ohb and Ugila do not have any devotees, so she decides to have another child with Linnie and prays that her child will be a good follower and help balance out the gods. She has Jacobina, who thankfully becomes a devotee of Ugila. She is quiet and not very social, but is hardy and never complains. Linnie and Kouraios die off, leaving their four children to decide who leads. They think that Jacobina is the most capable and youngest, so they decide that upon her maturity she will be made leader. Alone in the tall grass, Veronika finds Sterre, an adolescent with no clan to help her. She invites her into the tribe, and she quickly takes on Ugila as her patron, since he granted her wish of wanting to be part of a tribe. Soon, Sterre falls in love with Aphrodisios, and they have a child. Her name is Erlea, and she makes Icunuse her patron. She is bold and relaxed. Shortly after the birth of Erlea, a bearyena attacks the clan! The clan manages to defeat it, but unfortunately, Veronika is killed in the battle.
medicine cat
Jacobina worries that the death of Veronika is a sign from the gods that Ohb needs to be respected with another devotee. Luckily, Angelika arrives soon, and they encourage her to be the devotee of Ohb- to which she obliges. Sterre has another child- a son named Severin. He decides to be a devotee of Icunuse. Though a bit arrogant, he is also impulsive- his silly decisions usually manage to knock down his ego a few pegs. Sterre then has Rawiya. A devotee of Neeti, Rawiya tries her hardest to be a good tribe member, making her a bit uptight at times.
medicine cat
The tribe is joined by Bertil, a goodhearted wanderer. He becomes a devotee of Neeti. Bertil attracts both Jacobina and Angelika to him. He chooses to become the mate of Jacobina, liking her personality better. They have a son, Lish. He becomes a devotee of Kourai. He is brave and a bit mischievous, liking to stir up trouble. Meanwhile, Severin and Angelika decide to become mates. They have a daughter named Ilma. She chooses Ugila as her patron. She herself is very sisterly and enjoys taking care of other tribe members. Jacobina dies of old age, and Severin takes his place as successor. He and Angelika have another child; Augustinas. Augustinas lacks motivation, but at least she chooses Ohb as her patroness. Ilma, who is now an adult, mates with Lish. They name their daughter Genya, and she chooses Ohb as her patroness. A bearyena attacks, but thankfully the tribe fends it off. To be continued...
medicine cat
Ilma and Lish have another child named Theodora. She is a gentle soul, and chooses Neeti as her patroness in order to give her strength. Severin dies, and Theodora, now an adult, becomes leader. Genya shocks the entire tribe when one day, she announces she is pregnant. Her mother and sisters, who know there are no male members now, question her. She gives birth, though, and they see the nicheling is son of a Bearyena. Genya names him Cassander, and he chooses Neeti as his patroness for her fiery personality. He himself, however, lacks the bearyena spirit one would expect; he is impulsive and a bit lazy. The rest of the tribe dies, leaving Cassander alone. He prays to Neeti for something, anything to help him. On the verge of giving up, Cassander finds Dokiya, a pretty she-nicheling. She is rather serious, but is charmed by Cassander's awkward mannerisms, joining him in his travels. She chooses Ugila as her patron. Soon, Dokiya finds another male and invites him to join the party. He agrees. His name is Adie. He's very shy, and chooses Icunuse as his patron. Much to Cassander's dismay, Dokiya and Adie fall in love. They have a son. Named Aure. He's very determined and outspoken, but has a gentle side to him. Cassander dies, and Aure takes his place as the leader.
medicine cat
Aure's parents die off, and he prays like Cassander did every day. "Leave the island," orders Neeti in a dream. "It's been over a century since anyone left the island," states Aure, now near death worriedly. "We will be with you wherever you go." Reluctantly, Aure leaves the island the next day, giving it one last look. For his bravery, Neeti awards him with 100 years of life. After another long search, Aure finds Marci, a quirky orphan girl. He takes her in like a daughter figure. She becomes a devotee of Ugila. One day, the two are attacked by a bearyena! Despite Aure's best efforts to help her, she, too, dies. Aure shows anger towards Neeti, feeling like she has abandoned him. The fiery goddess replies sharply with a shake of the earth. She has brought him this far- how dare he question her now? Despite his heated prayers, they do not cease, and he keeps faith. Aure encounters another wanderer female named Eme. Eme is cranky and outspoken, but agrees to come with him. She is a follower of Kourai. The tribe is then joined by Deirdre, a fast-paced female who follows Icunuse. Finally, Aure finds Luis. Luise is a young male who seems timid, but is rather funny once he comes out of his shell. He follows Ohb. Luis and Eme become mates, and Eme has a daughter named Alma. Alma is calm and quiet, but also honest. She follows Ugila. Things are looking up, but Aure knows his time is coming. Will he be ready after all these years?
medicine cat
Another young male joins the tribe- Florianus. He is a survivor, always trying to prove his strength and have fun. He chooses Icunuse as his patron. Alma and Florianus grow up together and have a child. They name him Ernu. Ernu is very easygoing and has trouble taking things seriously. He becomes devotee of Kourai. Alma thinks that he could learn a thing or two from the ancient Aure, who is showing his age. Ernu has many chats with him, wanting to hear cool stories about his youth. "How old are you, anyways?" Ernu asks, his large ears twitching curiously. "Older than your parents' parents, and their parents, and probably their parents before that," says Aure, flicking his tail with a sort of pride. "Was a gift from Neeti." "What were your parents like?" Aure flattens his ears in thought. his parents seemed like distant dreams now. "You know.. my mother looked a bit like you." "Really? Thanks, I guess..." Ernu says, making Aure laugh. He then turns to Aure. "I hope I can live as long as you one day." "It's a blessing and a curse," says Aure. "If I were you, I would rather pray to Kourai that you would never have to." That night, Ernu lays down his weary head and finally meets Neeti in the flesh. The loss of Aure leaves the tribe in a state of chaos- they knew this was coming, but they still have trouble accepting it. The one who had brought them all together and helped raised them is gone. Who could ever replace someone like that? "Allow me," says Alma. "I cannot replace him, but I can try to substitute for him." The tribe agrees, and Alma is made the next leader. Alma and Florianus have another child in hopes of filling the gap that Aure left behind. They have Rob, a soft-spoken and proud male. He takes on Neeti as his patroness after hearing stories from his brother about Aure. Rembra joins the tribe. She follows Ugila. She is brave, but shy. Rob becomes her mate, and they have Gaz, a relaxed and lonely boy and becomes a devotee of Ohb. Alma dies, and Rob takes his place as leader after her. How will he do?
medicine cat
The tribe is joined by Sisi, a laid-back and snarky female. She chooses Icunuse as her patron. Gaz finds himself attracted to her, and they have a child together, who they name Lore. She's a bit cranky and chooses Ugila as her patron. Lore is out wandering one day when she encounters a boy her age named Coeus. Though sassy, he's calm and rather friendly. He decides to make Ugila his patron, too. Gaz has another daughter named Bogdana. She is sweet and a bit naive. She makes her patron Icunuse. Lore grows up and has a child with Coeus. They name him Torbjorn, and he's a determined and mischievous male. He takes on Kourai as his patroness. Rob dies, and Gaz takes over as leader. She makes Ohb her patroness. Torbjorn and Bogdana have a child together and become mates. They name their child Gulnar. He's naive and calm, but has a big ego. He makes Neeti his patroness. Gaz dies and Torbjorn is chosen as the next leader. Bagdana and Torbjorn have another child named Winoc. She is adventurous and overexcited. She becomes a devotee of Ugila. Lore and Coeus have Elias. medicine cat
A bearyena attacks. Ilva dies, as does Winoc. This gives Elias some STRONG OPINIONS when he finds that Jeha mated with a friendly bearyena and has a son. Despite his thoughts, Jeha loves her son and names him Albanus. "He looks like just any other nicheling," she states. "How could you judge him for a crime he did not commit?" Albanus grows up to be a regular, calm boy, albeit a bit lonely. He chooses Neeti as his patroness. The tribe is joined by Saso. Saso is a laid-back, lazy female who chooses Neeti as her patroness. Saso and Pulen become mates, and Saso has a son named Zakiriya. Zakiriya is serious and quiet, and chooses Ugila as his patron. Elias dies, and Pulen becomes leader. Jeha is out one day when she sees a bearyena which she thinks is the one she mated with before. However, she is terribly wrong, and the bearyena fatally wounds her; she dies a few days later under care of the tribe. This only solidifies the prejudice against Albanus, and he faces further judgement. Even so, he finds the friendly offspring of the bearyena from before, and he befriends it. "I find you more civil than they," he says to it. Pulen and Saso have another child, named Nicu. Nicu is quiet and naive, and makes her patroness Ohb. Saso and Pulen die soon after, making Zakiriya leader. Though Zakiriya holds the same judgement against Albanus' bloodline as his parents, he is not as severe as they, and Albanus is allowed to get into the social environment of the tribe a bit more. Nicu has a specific interest in him, and they talk a lot. "My brother says you have bad blood," says Nicu quietly. "But I don't see that in you at all. Maybe he should just come to know you better." "If he even lets me get that close," Albanus responds nervously, his claws shifting in the soil below him. Nicu leans on Albanus, putting one paw on him. "If he's driving you off, then he's driving me off too. He can't have a one-man tribe!" The two of them laugh. They are beginning to have affections towards one another. How will Zakiriya react when he finds out?
medicine cat
"You're what?!" Zakiriya demands incredulously. "Pregnant," declares Nicu. "I'm mate to Albanus now." "Inconceivable," says Zakiriya. "Father would roll in his grave." "May he roll all he wants. I have the blessing of Ohb." Indeed she does- she gives birth to a jolly and relaxed daughter, who she names Damia. Damia becomes a devotee of Kourai. The tribe is joined by a determined and tough warrior named Ito. Ito becomes follower of Icunuse. Nicu and Albanus have another child; Putu, a timid boy who follows Ohb. The tribe is also joined by a beautiful female named Hoka. She is devotee of Icunuse. She is calm and bashful, but knows how beautiful she is, making her a bit egotistical. Both Hoka and Damia have romantic feelings for Itu, so it is up to him to decide who he chooses. Who will he decide to mate with?
medicine cat
Albanus dies, but at least the hole in the tribe is filled with the new child of Itu and Hoka, who Itu decided to mate with. Hoka, while pregnant, brags to Itu about how her child will be godlike in beauty due to her good looks. Boy, she gets the wake-up-call of the century at the arrival of Roro. Unlike his mother, Roro is naive and modest. He has a good heart, and the tribe loves him despite his uncommon appearance. Meanwhile, a laid-back child named Shamash wanders into the clan. He becomes devotee of Kourai. Zakiriya dies and Roro becomes clan leader after some debate. Damia mates with Shamash and has Inti, a female. Inti is adventurous and tough, willing to face any challenge thrown her way. She follows Neeti.
