So this may be a bit silly, but maybe in the jungle you could have big lizard like creatures (enemy)? or bigger fish (takes two claw and fishertail to catch) and if you leave babys alone in the waters the big fish can snag them, or more prey like smaller birds you can find in trees and if you have wings you can catch them or more small mammals. since they can eat bugs maybe more bugs like mole crickets and you can dig them up with diggerpaw. or flies (to find them you look near dead nichlings or meat that's left out). this may sound morbid but maybe like when nichlings die they have meat on them and you can...… eat it.. SHHHHHHHHHH.. but anyways this is the last thing ROTTING FRUIT! I think that berries and stinky fruit and poison berries should be able to rot and fall off the plants attracting insects or more lil bunny's. but that's about it I hope I didn't ramble too much but here you gooooo!
