Like game but life spans too short for total enjoyment

The game is educational but could be much more fun if the creatures lived longer.  Yes, I know in the wild its a race to pass on your genes before the next guy/gal can BUT most mammalian creatures have life spans of far beyond 20 days.  I personally would enjoy the game FAR more if I didnt have feel stressed about getting my ideas and plans finished before my poor creature dies of old age.  Thanks for listening.  Hope I put this where someone who makes the decisions can see it(Ive never done forums before). Its a very very common complaint in Steam reviews for the game.  At least add an option to increase life spans for those of us who want to play a more relaxed version of this game; For those of us who are much more into experimenting with our gene pool and seeing what happens as opposed to getting certain jobs done in a certain period of time.

In the first pinned discussion it talks about things that will be added to the game, and one is the age slider. If you look in there, there is a video one of the developers made to show how it will work.

To Wander;  The next gen will still have plenty of room to come along to.  You can simply delay their appearance a little if your original gen has longer life spans. You can prevent overcrowding in a number of ways as well, one of which is to set who gets fed in a food shortage.  This would allow your most desirable creatures to live on and breed and less desirable creatures fade back into the past.  Having more time to orchestrate the gene pool could lead to very customized creatures-which is my kind of fun.  Your kind of fun could be something entirely different so I think longer life spans should be an "option" and not a "change".  

As for everyone elses reply, thank you!  The upcoming changes to allow for a life span slider is AWESOME news to me.  That will allow everyone to play the game at a pace and style more of their own choosing.
