  1. Maplewhiskers is watching the stars, searching for a sign, when it starts to rain. Frustrated due to the clouds blocking his view of the stars, he grumbles and looks down- and it's a good thing he did, for he sees a shivering, sickly kit before him. It is terrified and huddles up against his heat body. Maplewhiskers knows that he will never have a kit of his own, and he thinks that this kit was given to him by Starclan. He picks up the kit by the scruff and presents him to Quickstar, who is on her third life now. "Finding a kit like him? Out here in the rain?" Quickstar asks, eyeing the bewildered bundle of fur and spikes. "Peculiar.. Very peculiar, Maplewhiskers." "Many peculiar things have happened under your leadership, Quickstar. All of them have worked out for the good of the clan in one way or another." "I'm no den mother," Quickstar mumbles, sitting with her back turned toward the kit. "I could barely raise Firesnout and Crouchdusk. It's by the mercy of Starclan they turned out alright, and both Firesnout and Aspenspots are busy with their own kits." "I was thinking... I could raise him," Maplewhiskers said casually. "A medicine cat?" She meets his violet eyes, her voice more curious than anything. "I may be young now, but I won't be around forever, Quickstar. I've helped with kits before; I even helped deliver Firesnout when I was still an apprentice." He wraps a soft paw around the kit. "It is decided, then," says Quickstar. "I am entrusting him to you." Maplewhiskers blinks gratefully and carries the kit off to his den. He will be called Leafdawn, named after Foxdawn. An albino male enters the clan, going by the name of Quietmoon. He isn't really a leader and blends into clan life quickly. He wants to be a great warrior, but isn't really the best fighter. He becomes the mate of Seedstone. They have Quietrose. She has a love of her clan, but little love for the warrior code. One day, Maplewhiskers is called by Quickstar. He already knows what he is being called for when he finds Quickstar standing over the peaceful body of Leafdawn. "He had talent," she said with a melancholy smile, looking down at the medicine cat apprentice. "He could have cured any illness," bragged Maplewhisker, as if he was talking about a son. "Except his own." "You knew it was something that would cut his life in half the day you found him," said Quickstar knowingly. "You knew you'd outlive him." "I couldn't leave him in the rain. If I'd gotten to him faster, maybe he wouldn't have-" "Don't blame yourself, Maplewhiskers. You were the finest father I've ever come across in my moons." Quickstar goes to share dreams with Starclan and to transfer to her fourth life. When she returns, Maplewhisker, too, is dead. Quietmoon and Seedstone have another kit, Snowwave. She is brave, but she resents Quickstar and is jealous of her nine lives. She often tries to intimidate other clan members... and fails. The birth of Snowwave is soon followed by the birth of her sister, Briarcry. She is a talented warrior and has a strong desire for upholding the warrior code. For the first time in some moons, a new wanderer comes into the clan. She is an apprentice aged cat, named Flopmole. She isn't a very talented warrior, but she means well. A bearyena attacks the clan. Cloudrose is gravely wounded and is forced into early retirement. While sulking about on clan borders, she finds an apprentice-aged male. His name is Clearjaw. He's no fighter, but he's grateful to be let into the clan just the same. Not long after his arrival, he finds Spiderswoop, a wandering apprentice, on clan borders. He goes to attack him, but Spiderswoop begs to not have to fight, for he is a medicine cat apprentice looking for a home. Quickstar lets him in. Despite a rough first impression, Spiderswoop and Clearjaw become good friends. When Clearjaw becomes a full-fledged warrior, there arises a *slight* problem between females of the clan... He's the only male interested in mating! Most of the females are interested in him, so it's up to him to make the right choice. Quickstar watches with amusement as Snowwave, Briarcry, and Flopmole argue over him subtly. Clearjaw knows he's either interested in Snowwave or Briarcry. He sits with Spiderswoop, who gives good advice, for help. "You sound like a kit talking about crushes," muses Spiderswoop. "I say Briarcry. She has a higher respect for the warrior code than her sister. Plus... she's a talented warrior, which may balance out your fighting skill... or lack thereof," he teases. Briarcry and Clearjaw give have Smallmoon, named after Briarcry's father. He isn't a good hunter and isn't conventionally a handsome cat (his horns are the cause of much teasing), but he tries his best to make others happy. Quickstar is fast approaching her fifth life. This means she is halfway through her time with her clan. How will she handle such a realization?
  2. Welcome back to the clan! Quickstar has transitioned to her second of nine lives. Ryeswoop and Songspring prepare to have a kit, but it comes to light that apparently, Songspring is infertile. Luckily, a new male comes to the clan- an apprentice-aged cat named Spirewhisper. He is thin due to a lack of hunting skill, and is very grateful to be taken into the clan. He swears that he will protect his new clan to repay their kindness. As he grows, he forms a friendship with Quickstar, and the two of them decide to have a kit. Enter Crouchdusk. Crouchdusk looks near identical to his father. The clan considers this a touch from Starclan, and takes much interest in Crouchdusk. He grows up a popular cat. However, they are also all overprotective of him, and he wishes he was brave enough to show them what he can do. Applefeather is patrolling one day when she finds Blackneedle. He convinces her not to attack him, and states that he is a peaceful cat. He introduces himself to the clan, and they let him in. Though he has a strong sense of morality, he wishes that he was more intimidating. He grew up in a rough-and-tumble clan, and feels as if he is a disappointment for not having a desire to conquer. Twins Applefeather and Foxdawn die of old age. Blackneedle and Ryeswoop decide to have a kit to fill up the empty space in the clan, warranting hidden jealousy from Songspring. As if Starclan itself knew why they were wanting kits, Ryeswoop gives birth to twin kits, a she-cat and a tom. Though they are not identical like Ryeswoop and Applefeather were, they still cause great joy in the clan- most cats in the clan believe that they are gifts from Applefeather and Foxdawn themselves. The male is named Maplewhiskers. He wants to be a great warrior, but as he grows it is revealed that he has no skill whatsoever for fighting. He seems to give up hope, but after hearing stories of he and his sister being gifts from Starclan, he is inspired to become a medicine cat himself, much like Foxdawn before him. The female is named Webflame. She is a fearless she-cat who wants to be proficient in many skills, becoming the perfect warrior in order to bring honor to her clan. Starclan continues to bless the clan. A young apprentice-aged tom is found on clan borders. He is named Mallowsky, and he has wishes to become a great warrior and to intimidate enemies. As spooky as this sounds, he is actually a rather positive, happy cat, which impedes on the whole "intimidating" thing. Quickstar decides that in such a time of surplus that is a wise choice to have another kit. She has Firesnout. Firesnout is a fitting name, for she is passionate about protecting her clan's borders. She is especially close to her mother. The clan is once again joined by a wanderer. Introducing Aspenspots. She is a rather socially awkward and gruff she-cat, making her hard to get along with. This saddens her, for she wishes to make others happy. At least she is a skilled hunter. The clan is approached by a predator. They manage to fight it off, but Webflame is injured slightly. With all the kits growing into warriors now, mates are a big topic in the clan. Aspenspots becomes the mate of Crouchdusk. Mallowsky, meanwhile, has to choose between Firesnout and Webflame. Mallowsky ultimately chooses Firesnout for her gorgeous fur, making Webflame rather jealous. Aspenspots has a she-kit, who is named Seedstone. Seedstone is terrified of hunting and fighting due to anxiety issues, and must stay in the middle of the group to feel comfortable. However, she is very good with kits, making her still useful. Meanwhile, Firesnout is marvelling at her kit. The kit, who she names Brightcopy, looks almost exactly like her father and brother. This causes much talk in the clan. While a kit identical to his father is unusual, a kit who is identical to his grandfather AND his uncle is special. He's an average warrior, and aims to be a good fighter so he can stand out from his uncle and grandfather. Maplewhiskers, meanwhile, is taking much interest in this phenomena. He thinks that Starclan is trying to tell him and his clan something. But what?
  3. Shiningstar is now on his third life out of nine. Volesight has another kit, named Seedbrook. She is a beautiful young she-cat. Seedbrook is an adult by the time Berryspeckle, a wanderer male, enters the clan. Though a bit immature, he is still happy to be in the clan. Seedbrook and he decide to become mates. They have Seedrain, named for the similar personality he shares with his mother. Seedrain has little concern for being a great warrior. He just wants to have a happy family and to keep up the warrior code. The clan is joined by Rushpaw, a she-cat. Rushpaw has a strong desire to uphold the warrior code. However, this means she is quick to call out anyone who may not be following it, causing her to get into a lot of arguments. Her outspoken nature attracts Mosshole. Mosshole is rather easy to get along with, so she has trouble debating with him. Satisfied with such an agreeable cat, The two of them become mates. They have a kit. The kit is named Quickshine, after her grandfather. She is proficient in many skills and wishes to make others happy, but she does lack skill when it comes to dealing with kits. Seedbrook and Berryspeckle, meanwhile, go to have another kit. Seedbrook gives birth to, suprisingy, twins! They are nearly identical. Applefeather, the elder, is rather grumpy. She doesn't like most of her clan members and isn't the most popular cat due to her sour attitude. The younger sister, Foxdawn, isn't a good warrior, but has a connection with Starclan, and as such is taken in by Rubbleclaw to be her medicine cat apprentice. Rubbleclaw dies, and the newly adult Foxdawn takes her place as the new medicine cat. Meanwhile, Seedrain has taken a liking to Quickshine. They have a kit. His name is Songspring. He is a good leader, but is lacking in hunting skills for he is afraid of the prey fighting back. He wishes that he could be braver. However, soon after his birth, the clan is hit with an attack from a predator! Seedrain and Shiningstar are killed in battle. Quickshine is chosen as next clan leader, now Quickstar. At least the clan is visited by a strong new female. Her name is Ryeswoop. Though not conventionally attractive, she is a great peacemaker in the clan.
  4. Shiningstar chooses Havenlightning, for she is as ambitious as he, and he is frightened by the horns of Hornleap, which he had never seen on a cat before. They have Volesight, a she-cat. She wishes to keep her clan happy and safe. It isn't long before they have another kit, a tom named Mosshole. Mosshole is popular, always wanting to make other cats happy. He is, however, intimidating due to his position. It isn't long before clan is approached by Pebblebrook, an albino male. He originally left his clan for a change of scenery, and fell in love with the clan here. Volesight takes a liking to Pebblebrook, and they deciede to have a kit. Volesight gives birth to Rubbleclaw, a she-kit. Rubbleclaw has the potential to be a good medicine cat.
  5. After some wandering, Birchstar finds a bearyena. He manages to fight it off, but is wounded and bleeding. This is when he is found by a wanderer female, Flashbranch. Flashbranch, noticing his open wound, helps treat it. "I am no medicine cat," she says, "But I did what I could. May it help you." She is definitely odd-looking, and is rather sickly, but Birchstar is charmed by her kindness. They become friends, and eventually she joins the clan, and then the mate of Birchstar. They have Shiningspring. Shiningspring is ambitious, and admires his father more than anything. Another Bearyena strikes the clan. Birchstar is gravely wounded, and is forced to retire. Flashbranch insists that she is too sickly to be leader, and nudges Birchstar towards Shiningspring. He agrees, and names Shiningspring deputy until he matures. Flashbranch is close to Birchstar during his remaining moons. "I know that I am not your soulmate," She confesses, resting her head gently on Birchstar's fiery pelt. Her words are sad, but her voice shows no bitterness. "I felt something from Starclan when I first saw you. Your heart belonged to someone in the stars, I was told, but I was still pushed towards you. You needed me." "You are special to me, Flashbranch. I am sorry if you feel as if you are second place. You are not." The she-cat gently licks his muzzle. "It's no matter. I promise. I am happy to just have spent my life with you, Birchstar. I love you just the same." Birchstar's breathing fades into silence. Flashbranch remains with him until the morning, when Shiningspring, now a fully grown warrior, approaches her knowingly. That day the skies rain down, but Flashbranch doesn't mind. She would have no regrets. Shiningspring took his place as Shiningstar. Shiningstar wanders the territory, looking for a mate of his own. He comes across Hornleap, a tall female. She prides herself on being a skilled hunter and using her unique look to intimidate other cats. She is followed by Havenlightning. She is ambitious and brave, but isn't very good at being a serious warrior when she needs to be. With these two new females, Shiningstar is faced with a decision he never thought he would have to make; who will he choose as mate?
  6. The clan is joined by a wanderer she-cat named Duckthroat. She isn't very proficient coordinated, that's for sure, but she is sickly and Molebush refuses to stand by and watch her suffer alone. She is invited into the clan. Branchstorm can't help but take a liking to the attractive female. He convinces her to become his mate, and they have Lappingcloud. Despite Birchstar's expectations, he is a great warrior who is set on defending his clan's territory. Branchstorm's only complaint is the lack of his mother's involvement in his raising, which she shrugs off, saying that it is because she is sickly. Petalmuzzle offers to apprentice him, which Branchstorm happily accepts. This island is cleared, and Birchstar, now on his third life, decides to move to a new one. The only other cat who remains alive is Lappingcloud- Birchstar's own kits have died of old age. Lappingcloud dies after reaching the island. Birchstar has a pit in his chest at the thought of being once again alone, as he was so many moons ago before he found Yarrowleap. "Find someone new," Yarrowleap tells him in his dreams. "What? Yarrowleap, I can't-" "Start over. I am still with you. You can't give up now and isolate yourself." She disappears before Birchstar can argue.
  7. I AM SORRY I KEEP DYING Howdy nyall, we're gonna be making a clan again this time i'll be implementing my warrior gene gen with it. I think the impact of appearance of clan life will be an interesting thing to work with, not to mention my edit with warriors aspirations. Cats with abnormal, uncatlike genes may have trouble getting mates or going up in clan rank. We'll see... Also, if you have any ideas of a storyline you want me to do for a clan (or for a regular niche tribe in general), ask me! We'll start in Story mode. Our starting cat is Birchbright. He has known from since he was a kit that he wants to be leader. He decided to run out on his own and make his own clan, giving his family one last nuzzle before finding his own place. He has a strong desire for peace, which may be a disadvantage in such a cutthroat world, but he's a spectacular hunter so he has that going for him. He wants to start a clan of his own, and call it Brightclan, named for optimism, wit and openness to others. If anything can be said about Birchbright, is that he is unwavering in looking for someone to start his clan with. He was already a middle-aged warrior when he found Yarrowleap, and despite the long time it took to find her, he believes she was worth it. Yarrowleap isn't exactly proficient in anything, but she aims to be, and has a love for kits. "So, what brings you on this dirt patch of a territory, Birchbright?" asks Yarrowleap, flicking her tail. "Looking to start my own clan." As long as he's wanted to do it, he's still a bit embarrassed to admit it. "Well, with a name like Birchbright, no one will take you seriously. How about... Birchstar? You know, like every other clan leader?" He flattens his ears. "I thought I needed a clan to do that..." "Well, you do now. Call me Yarrowleap of Brightclan." The two of them spend some time courting, and it isn't long before they have their own kit, who they name Branchstorm. He is a skilled hunter, but his lack of concern for warrior code overshadows his skill. The family moves to a new island. The clan's second kit is born, named Spikeburr. Though she wants to make her family happy, she cares little about warrior code, like her brother, making her not the best warrior. The kits' lack of respect of clan tradition worries both Birchstar and Yarrowleap, creating some tension between the two of them and their kits. Good thing the clan is joined by Molebush, a young medicine cat wanderer. He is inexperienced but has a gift with Starclan, and gives good advice. After spending some time becoming friends, Birchstar expresses his concerns about his kits respecting warrior code. He advises him to have another kit, that Starclan may be more in touch with this one. His prediction is correct! Birchstar and Yarrowleap have their third kit, Petalmuzzle. Petalmuzzle, unlike his siblings, has a strong sense of respect for the warrior code. He is also very skilled and wants many kits. Birchstar and Yarrowleap breathe a sigh of relief as his personality begins to show. However, as far as Birchstar is concerned, this celebration is short-lived. Yarrowleap dies of old age, and due to old age he himself has to go to his second of nine lives. How will he manage without his mate?
  8. UPDATE: i completed a gene generator for (slightly) more realistic looking cats! check it out here: https://perchance.org/d5ymntvphx
  9. i like this... was planning on making a gene generator for the gene selector. maybe i’ll only include catlike genes... ;3
  10. lol it's Piskel, a program used for pixel art vwv
  11. i’d be: - poison fangs - yellow fur - gold or brown stripes - normal tail - blue eyes - bearyena claw and nimble fingers - normal body - normal ears - antlers
  12. Who should I draw? Tell me your favorite characters from the story..
  13. Welcome back to the clan. Ivyflame has died. The clan is approached by a new male- Dusklight. Dusklight is a spectacular fighter, but is very hesitant to fight and tries to make friends with everyone. He is sickly and has a pure heart. Rain comes. Featherstorm has a kit with Dusklight, being on the brink of death herself. She has Scorchstripe swear that she will care for her daughter in the same way that she took Scorchstripe in. She gives birth to Puddlesplash, a flirtatious (but fickle) and bold tom who wants kits. Scorchstripe takes over as Scorchstorm before dying herself, leaving Puddlestorm to lead as a young warrior. Luckily, it doesn't take too long for Puddlestorm to find Mudsnow. Mudsnow is a perfect balance between logical and emotional, making her a great leader. They become good friends. Mudsnow sees little resources between the two of them, and she suggests that they leave the island. Reluctantly, Puddlestorm follows her lead, though his clan had been on the island so long he barely had any knowledge of the Tiny Green island that the clan was founded on. He warily lets her lead the way and take him to a new place. The thirty-second or so rain over him lets him know that he is indeed doing the best thing for the clan, as well as the thirty-third rain when he hits the new island. He dies peacefully near the shore, leaving Mudstorm. Mudstorm, meanwhile, starts exploring the new island when she finds a rogue male. Feeling it would be a good way to expand the clan, she mates with him and waits for the next rain. The thirty-fourth rain comes, and Mudstorm settles into a nest. She has Whiskersplash, a lazy, honest she-cat who one day wants kits. Mudstorm tells her that as long as she is lazy, she will never have kits or raise them correctly. Harsh. One day on patrol, Whiskersplash finds Thrushmane, a sickly cat. Though sickly, he has a kind heart and is taken in. Mudstorm dies and makes Whiskerstorm leader. She and Thrushmane grow up together, keeping relatively close due to the large birds overhead. Unfortunately, it isn't too long before Thrushmane succumbs to his illness and dies. Whiskerstorm, too, catches the disease, and joins Clan in Clouds. Well, that's the challenge! I'll do it again on a different starting island, and expect some character art.
  14. Welcome back to the clan. Fallenwhisker has taken over after Spikestorm's death and is now named Fallenstorm. A predator strikes the clan on the twenty-second rain! The clan fights it off, luckily. Unfortunately, however, Snailrain is gravely wounded and is forced into early retirement as an elder. Despite this, Clan in Clouds shows mercy and extends the rains another day. Fallenstorm and Goldenspring have a kit within this time, Eelleg, named for her deformed paws. She is extroverted, loves to explore, and wants kits. Another rain comes, and Fallenstorm and Goldenspring have another kit- this time, a tom. They name him Wishpelt, and he becomes medicine cat. Fallenstorm dies, and Eelleg takes over, now Eelstorm. Soon after, the Twenty-fourth rain arrives, along with Ferndawn- an eager, albeit dim she-cat. She mates with Snailrain, and they have a whopping litter of three kits(one on the first day, two on the second)! The only problem is that Snailleg dies of old age, which leaves her the mother of three kits with only Eelstorm and Wishpelt to help her keep track of them all. The oldest kit is a tom named Risingdawn, named after his mother because he is her pride and joy. He is naive and has an excitable heart. The middle kit is Pricklemask, a seemingly melanistic she-cat. She is serious at first, but is rather excitable and ready for an adventure once she gets to know someone. The youngest kit with horns is named Spiketoe. She is hesitant, but she has an air about her that attracts strangers to her. Here is mother and kits: The twenty-fifth rain comes, and Wishpelt hears in the clouds the promise of an interesting future for the kits, now apprentices. He witholds this prophecy to himself, even when their mother dies and they are full-grown. Now comes the twenty-sixth rain. Eelstorm takes Risingdawn as her mate, and they have a kit. She is named Minnowspeck, and while she can be loud, she is rather humble and has a hard time taking compliments. Another rain comes. Eelstorm and Risingdawn has another kit, but Eelstorm dies giving birth, leaving Risingdawn to care for it. He is named Ivyflame, and seems to be interested in Wishpelt's work as a medicine cat. Delighted, Wishpelt takes him in as his apprentice. Pricklestorm becomes the new leader in place of Eelstorm. Wishpelt dies, and when the rains come, an unsure Ivyflame is calmed. This is his job. This is what he was meant to do. Another rain comes some time later. The three siblings have died, leaving only Ivyflame and Minnowspeck. That is, until a new apprentice-age cat shows up. Her name is Featherpelt. Though forgetful, she is a good leader and one day wants kits. Another rain comes, and it warns Ivyflame of danger. To his horror, a predator indeed shows up on clan territory, ready for an attack. The three cats in the clan fight tooth and nail against him, taking him down. Minnowstorm commends Ivyflame for his spot-on prediction and tells him that he must truly be in touch with the Clan In Clouds. Minnowstorm dies, and Featherpelt takes over. She is barely leader when she finds a terrified kit, wandering on clan borders. She goes after her, but the kit is too afraid and runs quickly as she can away. She asks Ivyflame to fetch the kit, and he manages to coax her toward him. Though seemingly coming from a traumatic situation, the kit becomes eager to know about the clan and to play. She is named Scorchstripe. The thirtieth rain comes, and no eligible mate for Featherstorm is in sight. How will she carry on the clan? To be continued..
  15. The sixteenth rain comes, and the situation is the same. Thunderswoop demands answers from the Clan in Clouds, but Turtlesnow cannot explain the situation. To make matters worse, Beechstorm dies, and Thunderstorm is even more controlling. Along comes Applestem, a humble and cynical cat. He is kind and sees the clan is having a rough time, so he joins to help out. The seventeenth rain hits the clan. No longer patient with the Clan in Clouds, Thunderstorm demands that Turtlesnow get into an arranged matehood wtih him and raise a kit for the clan. Turtlesnow viciously declines, and Applestem backs her up. It isn't long before an apprentice-aged she-cat wanders into the clan. Her name is Dovewish. She is talented but rather inconsiderate. Soon after comes Longsky. She is silly, but her laziness can be quite annoying at times. The eighteenth rain strikes. Dovewish mates with Thunderstorm. Thunderstorm, close to death, names her the next clan leader out of favoritism. She has Spikefrost. Spikefrost is a great fighter and has leading capability, but also has commitment issues. Spikefrost is on patrol when he stumbles across Fleetpuddle, a rogue male who wishes to join the clan. He is a bold, family-oriented cat. The nineteenth rain hits the land, but nobody takes interest in each other. Soon, Cloverear, a rogue female, joins the clan. She is mature, aloof, and a bit vain. After that, an apprentice-aged cat wanders into the clan. He has great potential and wants kits, though he is a bit untrusting. His name is Fallenwhiskers. The twentieth and twenty-first rains come. Spikestorm is now leader, and Cloverear chooses him to be her mate. They have Goldenspring, an enthusiastic she-kit, and Snailrain, a carefree tom-kit. How will Spikestorm's rule go? To be continued...
  16. Sootstorm sets Minnowplum to lead, and his name is changed to Minnowstorm. Sootstorm dies and sends rain. Despite the new members, no one seems particularly interested in having kits besides Soilfur and Twigpad. They have Dandelionfawn, a kit with a slightly lighter pelt than Rollingstream. She is cynical, but would be a great warrior. Meanwhile, Clawleaf, an apprentice-aged she-cat, is found on clan borders, She is eccentric and patient. She is followed by Lionwillow. She is humble, a good fighter, and shows leading potential. Minnowstorm dies, and names Rollingstream- now Rollingstorm- as the next clan leader. It isn't long before Rollingstorm is approaced by Havenripple, a now seasoned medicine cat. Havenripple has seen things in the clouds, and states that the Clan in Clouds is urging them to move islands. Though reluctant to leave the land of her grandfather, she understands, and orders the clan to be ready for departure by the next rain. Like clockwork, the next rain comes, and the clan knows that it is their time to move. Led by Rollingstorm, they begin to trek to a new territory. Twigpad, close to death, orders that he will be staying in his homeland for his transition to the Clan in Clouds. Rollingstorm is brokenhearted at such a suggestion from her father, but obeys his final wishes. She takes one last look at the island before disappearing across the stones. An old Gorsespring dies along the way, but the rest of the clan makes it there in one piece. Havenripple dies after some time on the new island, and Rollingstorm, with a tinge of guilt, worries that Havenripple's message from Clan in Clouds may have been incorrect. Her fears are relieved, however, when shortly after her death, there is rain. Falconhorse takes Clawleaf as his mate, and thus comes forth the clan's first kit on the new island. They have Rustleberry, a quarrelsome and easily distracted she-cat. Rollingstorm dies and Dandelionfawn is made the next leader, now Dandelionstorm. The tenth and eleventh rains strike the clan. Clawleaf and Falconhorse have died, so no kits are born. Dandelionstorm, now old herself, instructs Rustleberry firmly on how to properly be leader. Rustleberry is by no means qualified, but Dandelionstorm takes what she can get and entrusts Rustleberry with the ownership of the title Rustlestorm. The rain continues until after Rollingstorm's death, like a prolonged gift from the Clan in Clouds- one of hope. Amidst the rain Rustlestorm comes across Crimsondusk, a hesitant and distractable warrior. After he comes Beechhaze, a sour-tempered tom with a soft spot for Rustlestorm. With him comes the thirteenth rain. Beechhaze is asked to be Rustlestorm's mate, and he agrees. They have Thunderswoop, an abrasive trickster. Rustlestorm chooses Beechhaze to be the next leader, to Thunderswoop's dismay. Rustlestorm dies. The next rain comes. No kits are born, but Crimsondusk sure finds one. In the rain on clan border, Crimsondusk comes across a terrified wet kit- nearly newborn. Never having had a kit himself, he takes her in as his own. He names her Turtlesnow. Turtlesnow has a natural affinity for medicine cat work. Now comes the fifteenth rain, but due to Turtlesnow's medicine cat-hood, she cannot mate. How will the clan expand? To be continued...
  17. I'm going to be doing this challenge, since i wanted to shake up my warriors challenge. It will have the same fundamental rules as my warrior challenge, EXCEPT: * Clan leaders' names will end in -storm, not -star, and cannot have nine lives since the whole no-console thing. * Medicine cats focus on cloud movement and get prophecies in the thunder and lightning. * Starclan will instead be called Clan Of Clouds. * I'll be starting on tiny green, for kicks. Our founding pair is Goosecreek and Tinystorm. Goosecreek is a clever, gregarious warrior who is quick to fight. Her mate, Tinystorm, on the other hand, is a peaceful, skilled hunter who can be a bit possessive. Tinystorm felt called to be here and start his own clan. Goosecreek would do anything for her mate, so she came with him. They wish to have kits to have their first family, but Tinystorm had a dream from the Clan of Clouds that he cannot have a kit until it rained. He passed on the message to Goosecreek, and the two waited patiently for the rains to come. The rains indeed came. Goosecreek quickly prepared a nest, and Tinystorm gathered more resources for the new addition to the clan. Goosecreek gives birth to a healthy tom named Sootbee. Though a bit grouchy, he is an alluring warrior who Tinystorm senses potential in. It was not long before the second rain, for Sootbee was still a young apprentice when it came He was sent on patrol and stumbled across Midgepeak. Though very talented, she was quite bossy and an intolerant she-cat. Even so, she had nowhere else to go, so she joined the clan. With the next day came the next kit, a daughter of Goosecreek and Tinystorm. She was named Soilfur. Though very talented and has promise concerning leadership, she is a bit unstable. Soon comes the third rain. Midgepeak convinces Sootbee to be her mate, and she rests on a nest already in clan territory. Goosecreek and Tinystorm suggest they are too old to have another kit. Midgepeak has Twigpad- a fickle, obnoxious and aloof kit. Soilfur jokes that he gets such traits from his mother, which Midgepeak doesn't take very well. Goosecreek and Tinystorm die, and like they sent it from the clouds themselves, it rains. Sootbee, now Sootstorm, has another kit with Midgepeak. This time, they have a daughter- Havenripple. Havenripple naturally has a talent for spirituality, and it is decided that she will be the clan's first medicine cat. Midgepeak dies, and rain follows. Havenripple confides in her father, telling him that in the thunder of the storm she heard the Clan in Clouds. She announced that the Clan in Clouds wishes for Soilfur to have a kit with Twigpad. The two agree, and they have a kit- Rollingstream. Though argumentative, Rollingstream is quick to forgive and is rather brave. The fifth rain befalls the land. Soilfur and Twigpad have a son- Falconhorse. He is carefree, charismatic, and has potential to be a great warrior. The clan is approached by Minnowplum, a jolly rogue male who wishes to join. It doesn't take long for him to be accepted. Soon he is followed by his sister, Gorsespring. She is very dependent on him, due to her multiple instabilities. How will the clan learn to live with each other with these two new additions? Sootbee is getting older. Who will be his successor? To be continued...
