  1. Star was tempted to take back his offer of food at that response but then noticed the nicheling was walking over and decided to not be petty over something like that. 'Don't be rude' He thought to himself but then noticed the nicheling seemed to be hurt, if the limp was any indication anyways, which made him feel a little bad for that first thought.. "You're welcome" He responded to the nicheling's thanks. "I'm Star, what's yours?" He asked with with a tilt of his head. But before he got an answered another nicheling just seemed to appear out of nowhere, startling to daylights out of Star as he stumbled back before really registering the situation. "What are you doing?!" He growled at this unknown nicheling and lowered his head somewhat to show his, albeit not fully grown, antlers to this dangerous nicheling, he may not know the details but the nicheling he offered his food to was injured so attacking an injured nicheling wasn't right.
  2. After eating about half the rabbil Star decided to look up as his hunger wasn't bothering him as much anymore. He then noticed a nicheling walking along without even acknowledging his presence. 'Are they ignoring me on purpose or just zoning out? Either way it'd be nice to have some company' He thought to himself as he got up, grabbing the half eaten rabbil to perhaps give as a peace offering to this nicheling. "HEY! It's awfully rude to ignore someone, don't you have some manners!" He yelled at first before remembering what his older siblings had told him about sounding pushy and quickly trying to phrase it a better way. "I'd like some company and I could even give you the rest of this if you're hungry!" He yelled and proudly presented the half eaten rabbil, as if it was something much better.
  3. I adore this playthrough and adore reading it cuz it's well written and I enjoy every update honestly! Uh I have no idea to be completely honest- Favorite character? What about favorite characterS! I can't pick one, So! First off Cheri, then Fess(she's trying to be better :3), and King! Also I saw Cabi and was like 'Ah I know almost nothing about you yet but you will be put in the favorites pile' so there's that. As for ships I do kinda ship King and Fess-
  4. Star leisurely trotted across Rabbil hills, looking for any food to eat. 'This place is usually easy to find food in' He though with irritation before seeing a rabbil dart through the grass in front of him. He grinned before sprinting after it. As he felt the grass brush against his paws he quickly gained on the small creature and captured it before swiftly killing it. Feeling proud of his catch he sat down before starting to take bites of his prey, not really paying any attention to his surroundings anymore as he felt his meal was more important than anything else at the moment.
  5. I know I kinda didn't want her to do this either but it sets up some stuff I have planned for later so- But do you have specific reason for Mouse being your favorite or kinda just because? Who?
  6. Anyways time to talk about a real old niche save that only my friends ever heard me talk about. SO it was a warrior cat niche challenge like thing and I can't remember the name of the clan but while I don't remember the early days of it I do remember it got wild later so I'll talk about what I DO remember! So I had the ehhh 3rd or 4th med cat of the clan and they were all good with the code until Roserain! She was a pink nicheling with like darker pink spots? Anyways she had feelings for a cat who joined the clan as a kit, he was abandoned was my headcanon for why a tiny kit aged cat was left alone. The two kept their romance secret but were shocked when they were expecting kits (In my warrior cat stuff I try to have them have 2-4 kits per 'litter') so Roserain soon had her litter of two kits! She pretended she found them, but they were named uhhh I think Plumkit and Peachkit. Anyways they were BOTH sickly and since I wasn't paying attention and had like 10-15 cats the sickness soon spread to all but a few clan members AND SINCE MOST OF EM WERE OLDER OR KITS THEY ALL STARTED DYING RAPIDLY- So soon there were only 3 members left, Mousepaw, Fawnstripe, and Haypaw(who was deaf). The three ran far away from their old camp to keep healthy and also they considered it an omen from StarClan that something bad happened, no one ever found out they were Roserain's kits except her and her mate, so they soon found a new place to become their camp. Mousepaw grew into Mousevine and Haypaw turned into Hayrunner! Those two became mates (Both female btw) so they were being cute! And since it was only them left they decided to have Fawnstripe become FawnStar, and she was approved by StarClan! I can't remember much more right now so uh yeah!
  7. If ya don't mind I'd love to join with my boy Star! Name: Star Gender: Male Appearance: Personality: Prideful, Arrogant, Neat, Heroic. Starting point: Rabbil Hills Age: Older teen
  8. “What are you doing?” Mouse’s voice caused Daybreak to jump before looking towards the source and relaxing. Mouse was just confused as, if she saw right, he was looking ready to fight an odd berry bush the same way a male deer would fight another male deer. “Well I don’t have any males my age to practice fighting with so this bush will have to do!” Daybreak puffed with pride while waving around his growing antlers making her snort. “Well mine aren’t as large as a male’s but I have antlers, you could practice with me!” Mouse chirped as she mimicked the wave Daybreak did, showing off her smaller but very much still there antlers. Daybreak perked up at her idea. “You’re right! And since you’re my age it’d be more fair then trying to practice with dad” He said before lowering his head in the way a deer would when preparing to fight. Mouse smiled and mimicked that motion as well. Daybreak charged causing her to charge as well, when they collided Daybreak did have larger horns and more strength but Mouse wasn’t that much weaker than him so the two struggled. Daybreak slowly started pushing Mouse back but then Mouse had an idea! She suddenly backed away, confusing Daybreak, before sprinting again which surprised the young buck and caused her to overpower him and make him stumble before falling. “That wasn’t even a fair tactic” Daybreak grumbled as he slowly got to his hooves again, while Mouse just grinned at him. “Well if you fight another male someday they might not play fair either so you’ve gotta be prepared for anything” Mouse said with a wag of her long tail, Daybreak just huffed. “I guess” He sighed before going back to trying to charge the odd berry bush making Mouse slightly snicker at him being a sore loser, which Daybreak chose to ignore before charging at the berry bush. It knocked over and spilled the weird smelling berries everywhere making him curious. “I’ve never seen these type of berries before” He said as he carefully approached them with a sniff. “Me either but I don’t know if we should eat them if we don’t know what type they are” Mouse warned as she saw Daybreak get closer to them. When he tried to eat one Mouse did a fake kick at him making him flinch away before glaring at her, which she just stared back at him with a blank expression in response. Then their ears both perked up at the calling of their names. “Guess it’s time to sleep” Mouse said as she turned in the voice’s direction before starting to walk towards it. Daybreak just huffed before following after her. In what felt like a short time the two had turned into fully grown deer! “C’mon can’t you tell us something from a herd you’ve been in, please?” Daybreak all but begged as he had lived in this herd his entire life and wanted to know about other deer herds instead of just his own. Mouse couldn’t disagree, she was also curious so she was trying to give the deer equivalent of puppy dog eyes. “Ok, alright. You two are old enough to know now. But it won’t be sunshine and rainbows” Shore caved, she hadn’t spoke of it earlier because they were young and the herds she’d been in weren’t exactly pleasant before this. The two young adult deer looked at her expectantly and with their complete attention, not seeming discouraged in the slightest, making her snort at how eager they were. “Why don’t we start with…my birth herd, the Clover Herd” She said making the two tilt their heads curiously. “In my birth herd you had to be strong and able to fight well, no matter if you were a buck or a doe, and anyone weak was exiled or killed” The two deer looked much more nervous now but didn’t stop her so Shore continued. “I was lucky enough to be strong but my sickly twin brother wasn’t. He was considered weak and killed as a teen as he was considered a burden and waste of food” The two looked shocked but stayed silent. “So I got angry and tried to challenge my dad, it didn’t go well and I got exiled, never to return As if I’d want to. So since I was a teen I have been traveling herd to herd, it was impossible to find a herd as a teen since males wanted adult does so they could grow their herd. That’s all you’re getting for today” The two young deer were shocked by her birth herd, killing such a young deer? “But wouldn’t that weaken the herd because of the lack of numbers?” Mouse spoke first, it seemed cruel and useless. “I would agree but they said it made sure future fawns would be stronger” Shore scoffed, not understanding it herself. Daybreak was silent. The three spent the rest of the day talking about light-hearted things to lighten the mood after that. The realization of how old Daybreak and Mouse were had reminded the herd that they hadn’t had any new fawns since then, so after waiting for decent conditions they were ready for new fawns, Nightshade the most excited for a chance of keeping hers alive this time. But when Thorn went to Shore she seemed hesitant. “I won’t force you but may I ask why?” Thorn asked as he looked at the anxious posture of the doe. “Would you kill a fawn if they were sickly or blind?” Was all Shore said making Thorn extremely alarmed. “Of course not!” Thorn said horrified by the mere thought of killing another deer much less a fawn! “Why would you ask that?” He said wondering if she thought that little of him and his actions. “…In my birth herd weak deer were killed at a young age so I had to make sure it wouldn’t be a waste to have a fawn just for it to get killed anyway” Shore hesitated for a second before answering, his reaction would tell her everything she needed to know before trying this. Thorn managed to look even more horrified, if that was even possible, at what she said. ‘What a horrible herd, killing such young lives for something out of their control’ He thought with disgust. “That’s revolting, how could a deer even think of doing that” He voiced his thoughts feeling angry at the deer who would do that, an odd thing for the usually peaceful and sensitive buck. Shore felt hope bubble in her at the thought of being able to keep whatever fawn she would have. “If you truly mean that…then a fawn wouldn’t hurt” She agreed making Thorn beam at the doe. “I promise I will make sure they’re loved” Thorn reassured with a nod. THIS IS PROBABLY GORE HERE’S YOUR WARNING!!! While the herd had been taking a day to rest a bearyena suddenly appeared and, since they were all caught off guard, they couldn’t do anything in time to prevent it from biting into Daybreak’s back, snapping his spine before it shook his around to the point it started ripping him apart and ensuring his death. END OF ANY POTENTIAL GORE!!!! (If you didn’t want to/couldn’t read any potential gore Daybreak got killed by a bearyena) The whole herd was shocked in fear but Thorn suddenly bolting urged them to run, well most of the herd anyway. “MOUSE GET OVER HERE!” Raccoon yelled at her daughter, who was frozen solid at the revelation that her half brother was gone now, she’d never play games with him again, or practice fighting, or do anything because he got his life ripped away by this beast. “DAYBREAK WON’T MAGICALLY BE FINE IF YOU DIE” Raccoon said again snapping Mouse out of her stupor just in time as the bearyena was charging for her, she quickly started sprinting as well, quickly catching up to the rest of the herd, much to Raccoon’s relief. As the herd was running Thorn let out a startled noise as he suddenly lost his footing and stumbled, falling to the ground. Mouse wanted to help but her mother pushed her forwards, forcing her to keep running even though she wanted to go back and help her dad. The herd ran until they found a small clearing where they decided to take a breather for now. “Is everyone else okay?” Sunrise said as she looked over the remaining herd members, she was stressed but she had to ensure the health of those remaining. Everyone else was fine. “It’s all does now” Raccoon noted as she looked around at the remaining deer, making a few others do the same. “We’ll be fine” Sunrise reassured “We have more fawns on the way anyways” She said as she hoped at least one would be a buck for the future of the herd. ‘Was starting a herd a bad idea?’ She wondered but didn’t let her worry show for the rest of the herd to see. Mouse was completely silent, simply glaring at Sunrise before going to rest on the edge of the clearing. Soon enough the herd had their fawns, two does and two bucks! “Your name will be Dusk” Sunrise said as she looked at the spotted red fawn she had, the red reminded her of the colors they would see as the sun set. “Briar, and you’ll be the strongest buck around” Nightshade said as she looked at the fawn, he looked so much like Thorn. She hoped she got the keep this fawn alive this time, she was terrified of making that mistake again and having no fawns survive to adulthood. “Ferret” Raccoon simply said as she looked at the brown and red fawn she had before looking around at the other fawns born. ‘Hopefully more than one survive this time, and have a better temperament’ She thought as she glanced at Mouse, who had all but refused to even come near her new siblings. “Sand, you remind me of the sandy beaches I’ve seen on occasion” Shore said as she smiled at her newborn fawn, but then frowned as she remembered that the nicest buck she had ever met was surely dead by now. ‘Maybe all the good ones died, leaving the cruel ones in charge’ She pondered as she looked up at the sky. Mouse was acting uninterested but she watched the fawns curiously, Briar and Dusk were the two she was most interested about. ‘Maybe Dusk will be like Daybreak’ She thought as she watched him make a noise and try to rise to his hooves. Time for your usual forgotten screenshot and at a dramatic moment too) “We need to go look for Dad, Daybreak died and so will dad if we don’t find him!” Mouse spoke with a stomp of her hoof, how could they just not search for him? As if they would replace dad or even her brother, he was meant to be the leader one day and now his chance was taken from him because no one noticed something as big as that bearyena. “You’ll get the rest of the herd killed, and in case you forgot the rest of us just had fawns so we don’t even have the energy if we wanted to” Sunrise said, narrowing her eyes at the defiant young doe, who glared back. “Well you won’t have any more fawns ever if dad dies!” Mouse huffed, stomping her hoof again making Sunrise rise to her full height, making Nightshade stand up as she wondered if she’d do the same thing to Mouse that she had to deal with. “While Thorn was a good deer, we can find another buck” Sunrise countered making Mouse livid. “You can’t just replace him with any other buck!” She said as she stood to her full height now as well, feeling her anger bubble inside her. Sunrise scoffed. ‘Another uselessly defiant doe, why can’t these two see what’s best for the survival of the herd?’ She thought with irritation. “The herd will die out if you make such stupid choices” Sunrise said with narrowed eyes making Mouse looked angrier before seeming to have an idea. “Okay, can we get some berries so I can apologize?” She asked shocking the whole herd but especially Sunrise, but she was relieved she was seeing reason now. “Of course, I’m happy you can see reason” Sunrise agreed as she beckoned her with her tail towards some berry bushes, which were a bit away from the herd. Mouse followed, wondering if this plan would work. / After talking and ‘apologizing’ Mouse grinned at Sunrise turning so her side was open. SOME GORE IF YA DON’T WANNA READ IT SKIP!!! Mouse suddenly charged, goring Sunrise in the side with her antlers. Sunrise tried to scream but blood bubbled out of her mouth instead causing her to cough up blood and only look at Mouse with betrayal and pain, which caused a twinge of guilt but she stamped it down and waited until she stopped moving and breathing. END OF SOME GORE!!! (Mouse got rid of Sunrise out of a rage, heat of the moment thing) She simply stared at she felt the blood drip down from her antlers. She soon went over to the shore and held her breath before dipping her head in and shaking her head to wash any trace of blood before she pulled her head back out. She sat and thought of a good lie before starting to head back to the herd, feeling oddly numb to what she’s done. / “Where’s Sunrise?” Raccoon asked as she saw her daughter return without the dominant doe. “While we were talking a bearyena appeared and killed her” Mouse lied as she looked at her mom, wondering if it was so cruel to lie to her own mother about something like this. “We need to get moving than” Raccoon said before looking at the fawns, who could now walk. “Let’s go to the other side of the island” She continued making Mouse nod before the herd got up and started moving. ‘At least if we’re far no one will ever know what I’ve done’ Mouse thought as she followed the herd silently, not feeling guilt nor remorse for her actions.
  9. Doing the Deer Challenge by Nightfire! Yep, another new one- Also if my writing style changed don’t mind it. Also I’m ignoring the females have 2 or less strength and males have to have 5 strength rule)+ I’m pretending they are almost like deer but do have a few odd mutations and brighter and unnatural colored fur, and their tails are always fluffy in my mind but the length is from normal deer tail length to almost wolf like length tails) This is the Shimmer Falls herd, a small herd that was only begun a mere season ago but is filled with young deer with hope in their hearts for a good and thriving future. They’re currently migrating to the other side of the island to keep moving and keep predators away from the small herd. Sunrise is usually an air-headed female but when the herd needs to move to a new place she is more focused than any deer has seen before. She kept tunnel-visioned on the goal, not even registering the sand that she stepped through, nor the grasses brushing again her legs on her journey forward. The rest of the herd was silent as they continued through the grasses as there wasn’t much to say at the moment, and silence would also minimize the attention bearyena would give them if they’d been heard by one. Raccoon scanned the other members of the herd as they continued into taller grasses instead of the beach they had been on for some time, wondering how long it’d take for Nightshade to break the silence, she never took much of anything seriously and it’s led them into some bearyena problems before, though they thankfully escaped with their lives. Nightshade was bored of the silence that loomed over the herd, and as if that wasn’t enough she apparently couldn’t run ahead of Sunrise because ‘loud noises will attract bearyena’ and she got scolded to next season last time she got the attention of one of them. She watched a rabill dart ahead of them with a slight grin. “Don’t you dare” Raccoon warned making Nightshade grumble but continue walking, though she did give an occasional glance towards where the rabill headed. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dominant Buck: Thorn Dominant Doe: Sunrise Does: Raccoon, Nightshade Seeing as the rain had come the herd took it as a good omen, rain brought more berries and more berries could feed more mouths. So it wasn’t long until all the does had become pregnant. “I bet my fawn will the best one” Nightshade grinned as she and the other does had been laying down. The rains had soaked their fur but it felt more refreshing and calming than heavy and gloomy. The other two does were slightly irritated seeing as she hadn’t given them a second of peace since she’d learned that she was pregnant. “Or perhaps the weakest because you’re spending so much energy talking” Raccoon finally spoke up, tired of hearing Nightshade yap for the last day. Sunrise slightly snickered making Nightshade stunned silent before glaring at Raccoon. “Okay okay, calm down you two. Fighting won’t help anyone” Sunrise spoke as she looked at the two, Raccoon who was ignoring the other two entirely, and Nightshade who was giving Raccoon a glare that could kill. Thorn just watched, a bit nervous about the way they were fighting over something that was supposed to be a good thing. But he kept his mouth shut as he didn’t want to get involved in that unless he had to. Soon enough the fawns were born into the herd, bringing happiness to the small herd from the hope that they’d grow strong and make the herd bigger and stronger. Sunrise was shocked at the striking blue eyes that stared back at her after she had her fawn, but noted that her fawn also had bright yellow fur which gave her a perfect idea for a name. “Daybreak” She said as she up from her fawn. “That sounds perfect for him” Thorn said softly as he looked at Daybreak before trotting over to Nightshade, who had a dark brown fawn with light brown spots. “Bramble obviously” She puffed up proudly as she looked at her son with nothing but pride and confidence. The tiny fawn simply made a noise in response which melted Nightshade’s heart and made her even fonder of the fawn. “It’s fitting and even matches me” Thorn smiled as he wondered if she did that on purpose or not, either way he smiled at his fawn before walking over to Raccoon to see the last of his fawns for now. She was silent with concentration for a little bit before deciding to speak. “Mouse, for her lack of noise” Raccoon finally spoke as she looked up from her newborn fawn to look Thorn in the eyes, slightly unnerving him as he felt like she was staring into his very soul with that stare. And with a stare that said not to say anything rude, which confused him as he wouldn’t say anything bad about his own fawn. “It’s a good name for her, I can’t wait to see how she grows” Thorn said a bit nervously as he looked away from Raccoon’s stare and into the eyes of his newest fawn, who simply stared back without a single noise. The herd spent two days there to make sure the fawns could walk before continuing to migrate. A few days after walking and occasionally eating berries from a few bushes the herd stopped to rest for the day. Nightshade was entertaining Bramble and Daybreak while Sunrise was napping to get some extra energy so she could lead them well. Nightshade playfully jumped at the two fawns making them scramble out of the way before the two did it back. “I’m gonna knock you over!” Daybreak was always the more assertive of the two male fawns and it showed. He ran at Nightshade’s legs with all the force he could muster but considering he was still very young it didn’t do much but make him stumble backwards. “This time I will!” He said as he tried it again much to Nightshade’s amusement. “You didn’t even move my leg” She teased making the young fawn huff before running at her again, making her leg move maybe an inch. “There! I moved it and if I keep going I’ll make you fall!” Daybreak said proudly making Nightshade snicker. Before the two could keep messing around the sound of a bird’s screech made both of them freeze before turning towards the noise to see a huge blue bird swooping down. Nightshade tried to run over upon seeing the target the bird was after but it swooped down and grabbed Bramble with its claws and flew back up seconds before she got to him. “BRAMBLE!” She called as she tried to jump at her fawn, also catching the attention of the whole herd and making them rush over but it was too late, the bird was out of their reach now and was being carried higher than any of them could hope to jump. Nightshade simply stared as she was forced to watch the bird carry her fawn far from her reach. “…” The herd’s silence was deafening as they all stared at the bird’s retreating figure with shock and the fawns with terror as they had no clue such a large bird even existed before now. Raccoon was the first to break the silence that loomed over the herd. “That’s why you should pay attention to your surrounding instead of playing a childish game” Raccoon’s words made Nightshade whip around with a speed even she wasn’t sure she possessed until now. “What is wrong with you?! I just had to see my own fawn carried away and that’s your response? No sympathy, no reassure, no kindness?!” Nightshade was livid that her response was something so cruel. Raccoon scoffed as she listened to Nightshade’s words. “I’d say it was a lesson so you finally learn to care about something other than your own entertainment, maybe you’ll be better with your next fawn” Raccoon simply said apathetically, if she’d been watching Bramble he would’ve lived but she was playing games instead. “We don’t have to fight” Thorn piped up and tried to sound confident but his voice betrayed his anxiousness at two of his does fighting. “Shut up! She just basically told me it was my fault my own fawn died!” Nightshade turned towards Thorn with an angry glare that made him slightly shrink on himself and take a step back before Sunrise stepped in between the two deer. “While her words were cruel I think she means well” Sunrise said making Nightshade’s blood boil at what sounded like her taking Raccoon’s side. “Oh so it’s fine because she ‘means well’ huh?! So you think it’s my fault Bramble got carried off!?” Nightshade spat as she looked at the head doe with fury in her beady black eyes. Sunrise rose to her full height with an angry stare. The usually loud and confident Daybreak hid behind his dad at the yelling, with his ears pinned to his head. “No, I wasn’t saying it was your fault. I was sa-” She was interrupted by Nightshade. “What else do you mean?! You seem to completely agree with Raccoon!” She continued making Sunrise take a few steps closer to Nightshade. “Her words were wrong” Sunrise said as she sent a look towards Raccoon that made her look away “But I think she was trying to give you advice for your next fawn” She finished saying making Nightshade still just as angry as before. Mouse slipped into the grasses, unnoticed by the rest of the herd as they were watching the fight. “As if! She doesn’t care! She-” Her words were interrupted by a light, but strong, kick to her front leg by Sunrise, making her stumble and fall onto the ground, somewhat winded. “Listen to me. What she said wasn’t right but being angry will not help, you’ll attract bearyena to us and could get the other fawns killed” Sunrise said, Nightshade just glared at her before getting up and walking off to a far edge of the clearing, completely silent. The herd was tense for the rest of the day. After slipping away from the fight Mouse aimlessly wandered through the tall grass, just wanting to get as far from the yelling as she could. As she walked through grasses after grasses she found a small quiet spot that she decided would be a good place to relax until everything smoothed over. “What’s a fawn doing all alone?” A voice scared Mouse into jumping up and whipping towards the noise to reveal a sand colored deer with a crooked jaw. “Don’t you have a herd?” The deer spoke again making Mouse realize she’d just been staring at the deer without a word. “I’m Mouse, and I do have a herd! Who are you?” She asked with as she watched the deer nervously. “I’m Shore, nice to meet you Mouse. If you do have a herd though do you think they’d let me join?” The deer asked, she’d been looking for a good herd for a while now and was tired of finding herds with arrogant males who think they deserved everything and more or just deer who side eyed her for her crooked jaw. “I don’t know but we could ask” Mouse said though she was unsure if Shore was trustworthy or not. Shore smiled at the thought of a good herd. “Well lead the way” She said making Mouse freeze, she wandered here with no idea of where she was going. “Ah you’re a fawn and you have no herdmates near, you got lost didn’t you?” Shore said as she had seen that plenty of times in her traveling from herd to herd. “Yeah but-” Mouse was interrupted by hearing her herdmates yelling her name. “That’s them” She said as she heard the voices making Shore perk up. “I’M OVER HERE!” She yelled making the yelling stop before hearing the thundering of many hooves approach her and Shore. “Who is that?” Raccoon said with narrowed eyes at Shore, suspicious of the deer. “Shore, she wants to join the herd” Mouse said making all the deer look over curiously. “Is that true?” Thorn asked as he caught up to the other herd members making Shore simply nod. “I don’t mind another herd member” Thorn said making Shore’s posture completely perk up at the acceptance. “Thank you” She said as she approached the herd. Sunrise looked at the new doe before looking at Mouse. The herd now has a new member and it was time to continue migrating.
  10. After a few sunrises in the medicine den Sandwing was curious to see another nicheling stroll into the medicine den. Mossbeetle walked over to Robinbrair to see if something was wrong but Robinbriar spoke first. “I’ve felt a lot of nausea lately so I wanted to see if something was wrong” She explained, deciding to save Mossbeetle from asking seeing as she wouldn’t come into the medicine den without reason. Mossbeetle gestured towards a moss nest with his tail, a silent command to lay down so he could check on her. She quickly complied, walking over to the nest and laying down before watching Mossbeetle appproach. He silently checked her over for anything odd though he did ask something. “Did you eat any odd smelling prey lately, or any berries?” Just to check if it was something like that. “No, the prey smelled fine and I don’t make a habit of eating berries I find in the forest” Robinbriar answered with a slight roll of her eyes, she wasn’t rabill-brained or something. Mossbeetle simply nodded and continued to check for anything odd. After checking he realized what it was. “You’re pregnant, congratulations” Mossbeetle said simply, though he was a bit curious about the father as he wasn’t aware of her having a mate, though he didn’t exactly socialize beyond talking to injured or sick nichelings. Robinbriar blinked in shock before beaming, she would have kits! She and her mate would be able to raise kits of their own and truly feel like they belonged in this clan. “Firefang is gonna be so happy” Robinbriar tried to keep a formal tone but her excitement slipped through and into her voice. Mossbeetle simply gave a hum of acknowledgement as he went back to sorting herbs. “You should only push doing your warrior duties for a moon before staying in here, anymore could harm the kits” He warned as he moved a misplaced herb to its correct place. “Don’t worry, I want to make sure they’re strong and healthy” Robinbriar spoke before getting up and excitedly trotting off to tell Firefang. / Upon reaching her mate Robinbriar all but tackled him with excitement causing the blind nicheling to hiss in shock before registering the scent of his mate. “What’s got you so excited, you almost knocked me over” Firefang joked with a grin as he faced the general direction of his mate. “Mossbeetle said I’m pregnant! We’ll have our own kits, I can’t wait to raise them with you” Robinbriar purred as she snuggled up to her mate. Meanwhile Firefang froze. ‘K-kits? I’ll be having kits?’ He thought to himself with shock and fear. Noticing her mate’s stiff posture Robinbriar pulled away from him and looked at him in a concerned way. “What’s wrong?” Robinbriar asked with concern and a hint of fear, was he going to break up with her now? She thought he’d be happy about this. “Oh nothing! Just shocked, in a good way” Firefang hated lying to his mate but she couldn’t know how he really felt about this whole thing, they might not stay mates if she did know. “Oh, that makes sense, I guess it was a bit sudden but at least you’re happy with it than” Robinbriar said with relief as she leaned against him again, which did make Firefang relax a little. “Yeah, can’t wait…” Firefang forced himself to say with a cheery tone as he simply took in the smells and sounds around them. CanaryStar was patrolling the edges of the territory herself as she thought she smelled something, and she had all 5 lives left so if something did happen she would be fine and could warm her clanmates, she reasoned with herself. She felt more alert as she picked up on the scent of an unknown nicheling. ‘I should make sure they’re not a threat’ She thought to herself as she stalked towards the scent, being as quiet and careful as she possibly could. She stilled as she saw the nicheling, they were a quilled nicheling with horns and red fur that got lighter closer to their paws. “You’re good but I do know you’re there” The nicheling spoke without turning around causing CanaryStar to jump in shock before deciding to speak. “What’s your name, you’re on clan territory” She put as much authority in her voice as she could but the other nicheling just chuckled. “I’m Berry, and you don’t need to chase me off. I’m not stealing food or healing fruit and I have no intention to harm anyone” The nicheling said as he turned around to face her, revealing forest green eyes and a playful smile. “Well I guess you’re fine than, I’m CanaryStar, leader of WildClan” CanaryStar said as she looked at Berry with curiousity. “Makes sense, you seem like a good leader” Berry said making CanaryStar tilt her head. “Thanks, would you like to join my clan?” CanaryStar asked making the nicheling shake his head. “Tempting if someone like you is there, but no. I prefer the life of a loner, I’ll tell you if I ever change my mind though” Berry shrugged off her question. “Oh alright, well I should get going than” CanaryStar said as she turned around but was stopped by what Berry said. “Maybe we could meet on occasion? Once every quarter moon, if you have time?” Berry suggested, curious because he may not like clan nichelings but this one seemed interesting to him. CanaryStar froze before thinking it over, was it right for a clan leader to meet with a loner so often? Well it couldn’t hurt right? “Sure, but sometimes I may be busy due to my position” CanaryStar said making Berry grinned “I understand, see you soon” Berry said as he watched the clan leader walk off. ‘CanaryStar huh? That’s the one my brother met right? Well than I suppose I know what I could do’ He thought to himself before going back to him and his brother’s home. “What do you think about that medicine nicheling rule?” Sandwing asked making Mossbeetle simply look at him with a tilt of his head. “The one about not having a mate or kits?” Sandwing clarified making Mossbeetle hum in thought. “It’s not something that can be changed, but if a medicine nicheling has a well trained apprentice I don’t understand the problem” Mossbeetle answered, he didn’t understand why it was there under those circumstances, if their apprentice was well trained wouldn’t it be fine? Sandwing felt some hope swell in his heart, perhaps he did have a chance with him if he thought that, but he knew now wasn’t the time to confess. The two did their different activities in silence for a little bit, Sandwing boredly pushing around a moss ball and Mossbeetle sorting herbs again, Sandwing noted he seemed to do that a lot. “What would you do if you had a crush on someone but had that rule was still there?” Sandwing asked making Mossbeetle look at him with an unreadable emotion on his face. “…Well I don’t have an apprentice so I wouldn’t have kits, but the code could weep all it wanted, I’d have my mate either way even if StarClan themselves tried to split us apart” Mossbeetle said, wondering why Sandwing was suddenly asking about it but brushing it off as simple curiousity, a medicine nicheling had more rules than warriors did it seemed. Sandwing didn’t know how to feel about that answer, it could be good but doesn’t that mean that if Mossbeetle felt like that the two would be mates already if he liked him like that? Sandwing just nodded in response making Mossbeetle once again focus on sorting herbs. “BEARYENA!” Those words made CanaryStar freeze in her track before turning around and sprinting to the source of that yell. When she got there she saw some of her clanmates snarling at one of the huge beasts before Tigerthorn jumped at it, getting to first attack in, and causing the other nichelings to attack as well in a flurry of claws, horns, and teeth. IDK IF THIS COUNTS AS GORE BUT UH JUST IN CASE WARNING! After some fighting CanaryStar saw it swipe directly as Daisyfall. Thinking quickly she jumped in front of him just in time for the bearyena’s claws to rip her chest completely open, spraying blood on the bearyena and even a close-by clanmate making everyone freeze for a second. POTENTIAL FOR ANY GORE OVER! “I’ll get her to Mossbeetle, keep fighting it off!” DaisyFall said as he grabbed CanaryStar before dragging her off to the medicine den. The other nicheling went back to fighting and soon it breathed its last breath. / “What happened?!” Mossbeetle’s alarmed voice scared Sandwing, he didn’t usually seem to concerned when seeing most injuries or sicknesses. “A bearyena broke into camp and we were fighting it off, she jumped in front of me and got the attack that was meant for me” Daisyfall explained. “Put her on one of the nests, carefully” Mossbeetle said as he tried to slip on a mask of indifference and calm himself down, panic wouldn’t do anyone good. Daisyfall walked over and placed CanaryStar on the nest as Mossbeetle grabbed some herbs. Mossbeetle quickly started checking over CanaryStar, he knew she had multiple lives as a leader but she was still his sister and he worried, he knows personal bonds shouldn’t be a thing with his position but he wanted to make sure her wounds were dealt with when she woke back up. / She soon returned to the living world making Mossbeetle extremely relieved. “Good to see you’re alive again” Mossbeetle said in a somewhat cold voice but CanaryStar knew her brother by now and noticed the slight change in his tone. “Yeah no need to worry, I have more than one life remember?” CanaryStar said as she slowly got up, feeling a bit weak and sore but otherwise okay. “Just because you have more doesn’t mean you should be reckless” Mossbeetl said as he watched his sister slowly get up. “I was saving a clanmates life, it was nowhere near a waste” CanaryStar huffed. “I know, but do be careful” Mossbeetle said as CanaryStar left the den, which she just nodded to before going back to reassure the other clan nichelings.
  11. I do art on occasion so here's an old oc I'm redesigning, I've only managed to do a headshot drawing but maybe I'll actually draw the rest of them later lol- It's a warrior cat oc who I've renamed to Scorch! He's defiantly evil. he attacks cats for fun and entertainment and if they're a kittypet or some cat with an accessory he takes their accessory and puts them in an ever-growing pile in his den. He's a rouge/rogue(can't remember the spelling rn) because of his cruelty and harshness towards other cats.
  12. Of course! The more members the more powerful they become >:3
  13. Not a super long update but hey it's an update) Ruby smelled something off at the edges of the territory so she went further in the grasses to investigate. At first it seemed like nothing was different and she considered turning back and going home but then the scent got stronger. After following it for a bit she saw an orange nicheling with brown spots. “Who are you?” Ruby asked as she carefully approached the nicheling, who didn’t seem startled or tense in the slightest. “Wren” The nicheling said as he continued plucking some berries without an ounce of fear, if this nicheling was going to hurt him they would have attacked already. “…I’m in a pack you could join” Ruby offered making the nicheling’s ear flick towards her. “If they’ll have a blind nicheling I’ll join” Wren shrugged, it was a nice offer but most nichelings around here seemed to drop him as bearyena bait because he was blind so he didn’t have the most hope this would go in any other way, but it would offer him more food so it would be good for something anyways. “We already have a blind nicheling I’m sure the pack wouldn’t mind another” Ruby reassured which made Wren hum curiously. They would be willing to not have 1, but 2 blind nichelings? What an odd pack. “Sure, then take me to your leader” Wren said as he shoved some extra berries in his mouth in case he was chased off anyways. “Of course! This way” Ruby said as she used her tail to help guide Wren to the pack, though she wondered about the scars that ran across Wren’s eyes. / “You are blind, but the more paws the better. Sure you can join, I don’t mind” Tangerine said though a small part of him was irritated at having someone who couldn’t help hunt but more help with bearyenas was always good. “Thank you” Wren said though the way Tangerine said that made him a bit on edge. “Of course” Tangerine gave a smile out of habit before jumping down from the stump and watching the nichelings disperse. “Are you sure your leader doesn’t mind me being blind?” Wren asked making Ruby open her mouth to automatically protest but he DID sound a little irritated… “I’m sure he doesn’t! And even if he does right now I’m sure you’ll grow on him” She tried to reassure. “If you say so” Wren said though he didn’t exactly believe her. Wren was thinking. It’s only been a few days but Tangerine seemed to be acting colder and slightly cruel since Chime had died, he was snappier, wanted things to be done perfectly, and had been ordering the pack members to hunt or gather berries or patrol much more and was angry if they said they were tired or didn’t want to. On top of that a few days ago Mars had gotten his third gem, which he was ecstatic about. Wren’s other senses are good but they don’t do much good when he’s as deep in thought as he was at the time as he didn’t notice the bearyena that emerged from the grasses until he heard Ruby yell “GET AWAY FROM HIM!” and slash her claws across the bearyena’s chest. Snapping out of his thoughts he quickly scrambled away from the sound of claws and snarling before realizing he should do something at least. “BEARYENA!” He yelled seeing as he couldn’t exactly fight without putting himself or others in unneeded danger. The pack had thankfully poured in quickly and overwhelmed the bearyena with a flurry of claws and bites so not a single nicheling was injured. “Are you alright? It didn’t hurt you did it?” Ruby asked as she checked Wren for injuries making his scales heat in embarrassment. “I’m fine!” He snapped before realizing that was pretty rude. “I mean I just- You attacked quick enough for me to come out unscathed” Wren reassured with a sigh. “Oh good, do you wanna come pluck some berries with me?” Ruby asked as she knew he was good at that. “Sounds good to me” Wren gave Ruby a smile as they went to find a berry bush. (I say that water body nichelings have scales on their bodies so yeah-) “You never look that down, lost your berries or something?” Mustard asked as she saw Bumble staring at his paws like they murdered his family. “I’m the oldest so I need an heir to be leader after me but I don’t want to just have a mate I don’t love but I don’t want to ruin my mom’s hard work” Bumble admitted making Mustard blink in shock, the brothers had mentioned it briefly before but she never got many details beyond that so she was a bit shocked at the pressure that rested on the cheerier nicheling’s shoulders. “That is…quite a burden” Mustard admitted. “But maybe the right nicheling will come along someday, you’re not that old, there’s still time. Just maybe be patient” She said making Bumble look over at her confused was she…trying to comfort him?? “I…guess you’re right, thank you Mustard” Bumble said with a small smile making Mustard’s fur heat up in embarrassment. “Yeah yeah, I’m gonna go hunt” Mustard said as she walked off but Bumble still smiled at her attempt to comfort him. ‘She’s right, I just have to be patient, wait a little longer’ He reassured himself. The pack was shocked when Tangerine walked into camp with a pup in his jaws. “Me and a nicheling reached an agreement” Was all Tangerine said which made Blank more on edge than she already was. “He looks a lot like Chime and mom” Mars said curiously as he approached his leader and the pup. “I was shocked too, that’s why I named him Whistle in honor of my dad” Tangerine agreed, the fact he looked like Chime made him much fonder of the newborn pup, even if he did squeak a lot. “So he’ll be the leader someday?” Mars asked with a grin at the tiny pup. “Yes, and he’ll be a great one I’m sure” Tangerine agreed, happy that Mars was still unmovingly loyal to him after he snapped at him one time out of irritation, he enjoyed that at least his cousin appreciated him unlike his aunt. “With you teaching him he’ll be the best!” Mars agreed, he admired his cousin a lot, he was brave and tough, which Mars knew he was not. “Thank you Mars” Tangerine said with a smile as he took the newborn pup to a nest so he could sleep well. Meanwhile Blank was suspicious of what agreement was made, what could he have offered for an heir, did she even want to know? She was also crushed by her son’s blind loyalty to Tangerine, she tried dropping hints of his danger but even when she tried to bluntly warn him Mars protested and even distanced himself from her meaning she was the only one in the pack to be suspicious of Tangerine, it was lonely and painful. ‘Bumble, Bell, if you’re still alive…I’d you’re still out there, please come back. We can’t have another leader like Tangerine’ Blank begged the world. ‘I wish Orange had lived at least a little longer, she was cold but she genuinely cared’ She thought sadly before going to lay down, hoping that this was a long, messed up dream.
  14. I honestly think it's interesting and neat! Now him and Magma can be in the 'Mates? No thanks' club together lol-
  15. They look amazing! Thank you so much for drawing them, I love how they're drawn and the pose is also really cool! I feel way more excited then text can convey honestly- But just thank you so so so much!
  16. Not a normal update but I've decided that from now on in my warrior cat like challenges These will be the uses of the herbs and stuff! MED CAT STUFF: Healing fruit flowers: For preventing infections in wounds. Healing fruit leaves: For lessening pain and making cats sleep easier. Healing fruit stems: For stopping milk production in cats. Healing fruit fruits: Emergency for life or death, rots quickly once plucked meaning you must be close to one to use it. Healing fruit roots: For stomach aches. Poisonous berry bush roots: For making cats throw up something bad in their system. Berry bush leaves: For strength for journeys or if a sick cat feels very weak. Berry bush roots: For helping ease sickness and making it less painful and not get worse as fast. Poisonous berry bush leaves: For helping heal cats of sickness (A bit ironic but listen only the berries and stems themselves are dangerous for them)
  17. It hadn’t been a shock when Spottedripple announced her and RedStar would be having kits so it wasn’t a surprise to have two new additions to the clan a few moons later. “They’re both healthy and so is Spottedripple” Firetooth said as he checked them all once more. RedStar released a breathe he wasn’t aware he was holding. “I want to name this one Brightkit, for his bright colorful fur” RedStar said as he looked at the bright red kit. “That’s a good name. I’d like to name the other Mousekit, with all the squeaking he’s doing” Spottedripple said, tired but amused at the noisy brown kit. “I’ll spend as much time as I can with them” RedStar promised at he looked at the two bundles of fur that rested by Spottedripple’s stomach. “I’m sure you’ll be a great father to them” Spottedripple answered RedStar’s silent worries making him smile. “I hope so” He said. Twigtalon has become kinder, well as much as he can be, to Tigershine since she jumped in front of that bearyena to protect him. “Wish I had two guys fighting over me, though I suppose one of them is less than ideal” Sunstorm said with a snicker causing Tigershine to almost choke on the rabill she was eating. “What do you mean?” Tigershine said causing Sunstorm to stare at her for a bit before bursting out laughing as she realized Tigershine was serious. “What do you mean? What’s so funny??” Tigershine was extremely confused which just made Sunstorm laugh even harder. “Y-you really don’t k-know? Wow you’re more oblivious than I thought wow” Sunstorm was recovering from laughing while Tigershine just tilted her head. “Not that hard, there’s only three guys other than RedStar and one of them is a loyal medicine cat” Sunstorm sighed with amusement. “…Why would they?! And especially Twigtalon??” Tigershine said with confusion. “I’m not sure, maybe you jumping in front of him proved you’re tougher than you look” Sunstorm said, just as confused as Tigershine. “But do you really think he’d…fight over me?” Tigershine said as she stared at her paws with confusion. “I mean considering his usual personality I think he’d actually fight for you given the chance, and besides he gets along with you better than even RedStar, though there’s some tension there now anyways” Sunstorm said, still finding Tigershine’s obliviousness amusing. “Though that begs the question, how do you feel about them?” Sunstorm asked making Tigershine think. “…What exactly do I do if I do like them, but like them both?” Tigershine asked making Sunstorm look at her. “Both? Well you could just gather them both at the same time and ask if both of em would be your mates, I mean I know of at least two cats who’ve been committed to multiple mates” Sunstorm said casually. “Cats can have more than one mate?” Tigershine said, she’d been raised to think having more than one mate was cheating on the other. “As long as you’re not hiding it from one of them or something it’s fine” Sunstorm said as she started to groom her fur. “Oh” Was all Tigershine said as she thought about it. If they agreed she wouldn’t have to choose, but that’s IF they agreed. “Thanks” Tigershine added as an afterthought before going to hunt. Tigershine would love to say she went with Sunstorm’s advice not that long after she told her…but she didn’t It took 3 moons of gathering courage to finally try and ask. She got both Paleear and Twigtalon to come meet her today at sundown so now it was just a matter of waiting. Thought when they did arrive she felt the confidence she was sure she had disappear but it was too late now, they were already here. “Did you need something?” Paleear asked while Twigtalon simply looked at her expectantly. “I um” She felt anxiety run through her but she took a breath and continued. “I love both of you, romantically, and wanted to know if you would both be my mate?” Tigershine’s usual confidence had sunk down like it had been thrown into a deep lake. Paleear looked at her with shock, that means he’d have to get along with Twigtalon, as if that would ever happen. Twigtalon slightly bristled at the thought of getting along with Paleears but he saw the nervous, read: terrified, expression she had and internally sighed, he didn’t like Paleear in any capacity but if letting her have both of them as mates meant he got a chance he would tolerate it. Paleear just stared at Tigershine making her anxious feelings bloom but at long last Twigtalon spoke up. “I wouldn’t mind” He shrugged making both Tigershine and Paleear look over in shock, but different types of shock. One was relief and the other was irritation. “As if! I’d never get along with him, he’s cruel and abrasive!” Paleear hissed making Tigershine shrink, of course the one she thought wouldn’t be as opposed is livid about it. “There’s no need to yell at her if you’re mad at me!” Twigtalon hissed back, irritated that Paleear was yelling at her instead of him. “Well either way I refuse to try and get along with that…foxheart!” Paleear hissed before stalking off, needing to calm down before he tried speaking to Tigershine again, leaving Tigershine and Twigtalon alone. ‘I knew it was a bad idea, why did I think that’d ever work?’ Tigershine thought as she looked at her paws with bitterness and heartbreak. “…I wouldn’t mind if you ever wanted to have multiple cats as mates” Twigtalon did his best to try and reassure her, it wasn’t his specialty. “Thank you” Tigershine responded as she had known him long enough to know what he was trying to do. “Would you…still want to be just my mate for now?” Twigtalon asked, wondering if Paleear had ruined his chance too now. “Yeah, you stayed here and comforted me, so of course” Tigershine said with a ghost of a smile. “I promise to love you no matter what” Twigtalon said, internally cringing from how sappy that sounded but he knew Tigershine probably wanted some sort of reassurance. “Same here” Tigershine agreed, even if she did feel a bit hurt that what was essentially her crush since apprentincehood had rejected her like that. The two simply sat there until moonhigh, in which they left that spot to go sleep next to each other. As Firetooth was helping clean out a spot on Paleear’s paw that had a thorn lodged in it before he noticed the troubled expression he was wearing. “What’s that look for?” Firetooth simply asked making Paleear’s head snap towards him. “What look?” Paleear said a bit too defensively. “You look like you’re stressed” Firetooth said as he pulled out the thorn making Paleear slightly wince. “Not something you’d understand seeing as medicine cats can’t have mates” Paleear scoffed, wondering how a medicine cat could help. “Maybe an outside perspective, that doesn’t deal with those feelings, would help” Firetooth suggested as he chewed up some plants before putting it on the place where the thorn was to prevent infection. “…Fine. Tigershine asked me to be her mate, which I would’ve been happy about, but she said she also wanted Twigtalon as her mate. Him of all cats! So I told her I’d never get along with him before walking off to calm down but I haven’t been able to find or talk to her since” Paleear spilled everything and found it felt better than bottling it all up inside. “Hm. Sounds to me like you might’ve lost your chance completely” Firetooth said as he finished making sure Paleear’s paw would be fine, but his words made Paleear quickly get on his paws. “What do you mean by that?!” He asked with alarm making Firetooth hum. “Well think about it from her perspective, you said you’d never get along with Twigtalon, rejecting her, and then walked off leaving Twigtalon to comfort her” Firetooth said making Paleear feel like ice had been dumped into his veins. “I have to go” Paleear said before running off making Firetooth simply sigh and shake his head. ‘Young cats and their young love’ He simply thought before starting to sort herbs. / But no matter how much he looked he couldn’t find Tigershine, meaning she was avoiding him, and Twigtalon would just glare at him harder than before, if that was even possible. A few moons later Tigershine and Twigtalon had 2 kits. “You should name That one” Twigtalon said making Tigershine grin before looking at one of the tiny kits that snuggled up to her. “Hmm…Hawkkit” Tigershine said after a little bit of thought. “Sounds tough” Twigtalon agreed with the name choice, it was fitting and it was a strong name for a kit of his. “You should name her” Tigershine said as she looked at the spotted kit. “Bearkit” Twigtalon said making Tigershine tilt her head at him. “Bearyena have hurt us a lot but they’re very tough, just like I’m sure she will be” Twigtalon explained making Tigershine smile and nod. “I’m sure she will be” Tigershine agreed as she looked at the two kits fondly. Paleear felt like his world was crumbling after hearing the news, the one he loved was not only with the one he hated, but even had kits with him. ‘I guess Firetooth was right, my thoughtlessness ruined a perfect chance’ He thought before stalking off to continue planning patrols. (Also if you ever see them do something that doesn’t align with cat or even animal behavior with things like smiling, shrugging, etc. I just feel weird trying to convey certain emotions without them so yeah) “But why would I want to be a warrior? I get to make sure everyone is healthy and strong, you wouldn’t be able to be a warrior long without a medicine cat” Brightpaw argued after his brother, Minnowpaw, had said that being a med cat was boring and being a warrior was much better. “Yeah but you have to be around stinky herbs all day” Minnowpaw said as he stuck his tongue out at his brother making him huff. “Well those ‘stinky herbs’ make sure warrior’s wounds don’t get infected or get worse” Brightpaw said though he stuck his tongue out at Minnowpaw too. “Are you kits fighting again over there?” Firetooth called from the medicine den makinng the two freeze before speaking a unanmous “No!” before staring at each other. “Well I’m gonna go learn to battle and be strong while you sort herbs” Minnowpaw puffed up with pride making Brightpaw roll his eyes. “Yeah alright, and when you get hurt I get to tell you I told you so” Brightpaw said making Minnowpaw stick his tongue out again before darting off to Tigershine, as Hawkkit and Bearkit could eat fresh kill now, to train. Firetooth just shook his head at the young cats antics before reminding Brightpaw of what herbs did what. Paleear had started talking to Sunstorm as not having Tigershine to talk to made him realize he only had 1 friend here and having more wouldn’t hurt. “I just wish I handled it better” Paleear said making Sunstorm groan before speaking up. “I know, believe me you’ve told me. But what’s done is done and you can’t change it, you have to accept it or you’ll never find someone who loves you back and will push everyone away” Sunstorm had been trying to be patient but it seems to be at least 70-80% of what he talks about and she’s tired of it now. “You’re right but I don’t know how to get over her” Paleear sighed making Sunstorm think before having an idea. “You could be mates with someone else” She suggested making Paleear’s whip towards her. “How would that help?!” He said with complete confusion. “You may fall in love with them instead or it will at least distract you for a while” Sunstorm said, she’d done it before and it helped her a lot. Paleear gave it some thought for some time before speaking. “Would you be fine with me being your mate for now than?” Paleear asked making Sunstorm smile, well this went exactly like she hoped, she had issues confessing but maybe he would fall in love with her instead of thinking of Tigershine all the time. “Well of course, I suggested it so I don’t mind” Sunstorm replied. “Well thank you” Paleear said making Sunstorm look at him. “You’re welcome” She chirped. (I swear it wasn’t meant to be like 90% romance drama but alas-)(Also forgot this screenshot-) ------------------------------------------ Paleear was kind of keeping an eye on Hawkkit and Bearkit as even if he didn’t like the fact they were living proof of his missed chance he wasn’t going to let kits go running around unsupervised and every other cat was busy with hunting or something else, like the patrol he sent Twigtalon on a little bit ago. He flinched as he heard pawsteps, bearyena pawsteps. He shot up and rushed at the bearyena and he must’ve surprised it as it flinched before snarling and launching itself at him. He dodged and sliced at it’s exposed stomach as it jumped over him. The bearyena snarled and then turned around which confused Paleear until he saw the terrified kits. Paleear snarled and launched himself at its face making to try and claw at him instead and gave the kits a chance to run and hide. The bearyena managed to slice him across his tail, leaving deep scratches that would have to be tended to by the medicine cat and apprentice. But after enough clawing the bearyena fell to the ground, dead. Paleear was a bit alarmed at seeing a bearyena cub run off and mentally noted to put out more patrols just in case. But right now he had other issues. “Let’s go see Firetooth you two” He said making the kits emerge from hiding and follow him to the medicine cat den. “What happened?” Firetooth asked as he and Brightpaw ushered him into the medicine cat den and into a nest. “A bearyena tried to attack those two” Paleear said as he looked at the 2 kits that Brightpaw was entertaining so they didn’t run off by themselves. “I see, these scars will be permanant” Firetooth said as he cleaned the wound. “Brightpaw fetch the healing fruit flowers!” He said making Brightpaw give the kits a small ball of moss to play with before running to grab them. “Will I be able to go back to my duties?” Paleear asked a bit worried about that. “Hm, rest until next sunhigh here but seeing as it is just your tail you should be fine as long as you don’t hurt it further” Firetooth said before chewing up the blossoms and applying them to the wound. “Alright thank you” Paleear said making Firetooth nod before checking over the kits for injuries in case, but there were none thankfully. Paleear was shocked when Sunstorm said she was pregnant, Paleear didn’t want kits with anyone but Tigershine but when they were born he realized he wouldn’t be the cat to abandon his kits because of his own mistakes. “I’ll name her Bigkit” Sunstorm said as she looked at the fluffier of the two kits. “She’s just as fluffy as you are” She slightly laughed as she looked at Bigkit. “Yeah she does” Paleear agreed, she was just as fluffy as him. “I’ll name him Goldenkit than” Paleear said as he looked at the smaller kit. “Wow creative” Sunstorm said making him roll his eyes. “At least I didn’t name him smallkit or something” Paleear responded. “I hope they’ll be healthy and strong” Firetooth said to the two before checking the kits again, being relieved that they were all born healthy. Hawkkit and Bearkit had now been renamed Hawkpaw and Bearpaw. “I can’t believe you get to be mentored by the leader” Hawkpaw said as he looked at his sister who was pacing enough that he was shocked there was grass left on the ground. “Me either, he said he saw potential but I’m skittish and nervous so I don’t get it” Bearpaw said as her tail twitched anxiously. “Well maybe he means that you’ll become a super strong warrior!” Hawkpaw said excited for Bearpaw. “You still get to be trained by the deputy though so you will too than” Bearpaw said as she looked at her brother. “Yeah but I-” Hawkpaw was interuppted by Paleear shouting his name. “Well guess it’s training time” Hawkpaw said before turning around and running off to his mentor.
  18. I turned down the animal texture quality so they might look a lil different) So much happened in the last moon, the three felt exhausted and disoriented, the clan life they had grown up in and were used to felt shattered as while they did have a medicine nicheling, FrostStar had died from sickness as well and she had never made a deputy because the 3 left were too young before and now they were the only remnant left of WildClan. “I’m not sure what to do” CanaryStar, they had decided she was the best choice, said as she rubbed her eyes with one of her paws, she was the leader of a completely broken clan now and she had no idea how she would continue it. “I don’t know” Sandwing, formerly Sandpaw, admitted as he looked at the 2 other nichelings, still unbelieving that this was a thriving, or at least decent, clan when he first joined. He was now the deputy but he was so confused. “This clan will die with us” Mossbeetle said bitterly as he stared into nothingness. His family, except his sister, was gone as was Mudtail and FrostStar, the only ones he really cared about. “It won’t!” CanaryStar protested but one withering stare from her brother made her just sigh and stare at the grass below her paws. “…” The silence felt deafening and painful as the 3 remaining WildClan nichelings silently continued their duties, feeling on autopilot rather than actually caring anymore. / The stars seemed to take mercy on them as soon enough Sandwing came across a group of 4 loners! “Would you four like to join our clan?” Sandwing asked a bit loudly making all the nichelings turn to him with surprise or alarm. The four stared before agreeing after a bit of debating and were promptly renamed to more warrior like names. Firefang, Robinbriar, Daisyfall, and Tigerthorn. (A bit rushed but listen I was desperate-) I don’t exactly remember how injuries were healed so if anything is ever off just uh pretend it is right or just how it works here-) Mossbeetle’s ears twitched as he heard pawsteps, he just turned around to see Sandwing in the medicine den. “I snagged a thorn while clearing some grass” He explained as he lifted his paw to show a pretty large thorn stuck between his toes. “Right, sit down” Mossbeetle said in a tone that said there was no room for argument so Sandwing went over to a moss bed and obediantly sat down. “So how y-ow!” Sandwing yelped as Mossbeetle took out the thorn with his teeth. “Um do you wanna hang out later?” Sandwing asked but just recieve silence as Mossbeetle turned around. Mossbeetle still didn’t speak at all as he grabbed some golden blooms and chewed them up. He simply used his paw to apply the chewed up flowers to the place where the thorn was to prevent infection. “Don’t overexert yourself and it’ll heal fine” Mossbeetle only spoke after and seemed to completely ignore the question making Sandwing slightly deflate, he knows he heard because his ear twitched toward him. ‘Does he not like my company?’ He thought before realizing he’d just been staring at Mossbeetle. “Oh right, yeah I’ll be careful” Sandwing agreed before leaving the medicine den and towards his own nest. “You seem quite stressed” CanaryStar swore she almost jumped right out of her fur after hearing Daisyfall’s voice right next to her. “I…guess I’m a bit stressed, I was only made leader about a moon before you four showed up” CanaryStar sighed making Daisyfall hum in thought. “If that’s the case I suppose there’s a reason this clan it so small, you’re probably having a hard time managing it?” Daisyfall said it like a question but CanaryStar had a feeling that it was more of a statement, Daisyfall seemed like a smart nicheling anyways. “Yeah a sickness just appeared and took out a lot of the clan and at least three leaders of all their lives” CanaryStar felt sick, in a feelings way, at the thought of that sickess. Why had StarClan been cruel enough to not even warn them of such a tragedy? “Odd, but I do feel sorry. It must’ve been hard” Daisyfall said, so this clan had been weakened by a sickness? That explains a lot, the small numbers, the general hopelessness, and also Mossbeetle’s air of pure exhaustion. “It was…but I have to be strong, as leader, and I have to raise the clan back up” CanaryStar was determined to lead this clan to a height it’s never reached before, perhaps even high enough to reach the stars themselves. “I can see why you were chosen as leader” Daisyfall hummed as he saw the look in CanaryStar’s eyes. ‘A strong hearted leader who would do whatever it takes to keep the clan safe, a good leader indeed’ He thought to himself. CanaryStar just smiled as thanks. “…I should check on the clan” CanaryStar broke the silence, wishing she could stay and relax with Daisyfall a little longer. “I see, perhaps we’ll talk more some other time you aren’t so busy” Daisyfall agreed, the other 3 former loners, from what he does know, wouldn’t cause trouble usually but it’s better to check. “I hope so” CanaryStar agreed before walking back to the camp and checking on the others. CanaryStar was lost. Completely lost in the grasses as she had patrolled farther than usual and lost sight and scent of the camp. She then hissed after she tripped and a thorn cut across the front of her front leg. ‘Well this isn’t going well’ She thought as she walked through the grasses aimlessly but then decided to run as she thought she heard something, though her leg very much protested, and ended up collidiing with something, or perhaps someone. “OW Hey watch where you’re going” An unknown nicheling spat after turning around and seeing an unknown nicheling, though feeling a bit relieved it wasn’t a young bearyena or something. “Calm down you don’t look hurt at all, if anything I am because of your spines” CanaryStar scoffed as she rubbed at a spot that had gotten poked. The other nicheling blinked in shock, most nichelings ran off after hearing he snapped at them. “Good, what’s a nicheling like you doing around here?” The nicheling asked as he looked over this yellow nicheling, determining if they were a threat, though he did stare at the injury before looking back at their eyes. “I’m trying to get back home, lost my way and got lost” CanaryStar decided lying may land her in worse situations so she just said the truth. “Wow impressive” The nicheling automatically snarked making CanaryStar scowl. “I’ll just find my way myself” CanaryStar said before turning around and starting to try and walk back. “You’re just gonna hurt yourself worse fuzz brain” The nicheling scoffed as he walked in front of her, making her stop and look at him. “Come with me, I know where a healing fruit is that you could eat” The nicheling said making CanaryStar narrow her eyes. “But you were being rude just a moment ago, why would I trust that?” She asked making the nicheling bristle. “If you wanna bleed out fine, but I wanted to give you a chance to live” The nicheling said, a bit irritated his chance at kindness was just met with rejection. “…Fine” CanaryStar sighed, she had more lives anyway right? So she followed this nicheling to wherever she was being led. / The nicheling stopped in front of a healing plant, slightly surprising CanaryStar as she assumed he was just leading her to an ambush. “Are you gonna stare or eat it?” The nicheling said as he stared at CanaryStar. “Yeah I’m going” CanaryStar said as she started to eat the fruit, relieved at the way it made the pain lessen and feel much better. “What’s your name anyways?” She asked after eating making the nicheling stare at her before speaking. “Bird, who are you?” The nicheling said, this nicheling wasn’t the worst company, his brother took that title most of the time. “I’m CanaryStar” Bird internally sighed, of course the best company he’s had since being a kit was a clan nichling, but she didn’t seem to act as prideful as he thought a clan leader would so maybe it’d be fine this time. “Well your clan is probably worried, it’s almost sundown” Bird said making CanaryStar stand up in alarm before noting that the sky was indeed getting dark. “You’re right but I’m lost” She sighed in irritation. “Any hints you could give me?” Bird said, having a clan of nichelings after him because he was seen with CanaryStar when CanaryStar was injured wasn’t what he wanted. “There’s a lot of nichelings, and um the scent of rabill and berries are very strong” Not much but Bird had a good sense of smell so he just nodded before sniffing around. / It took until moonrise but he found the edge of the territory. “Thank you, do you want to join the clan?” CanaryStar felt that, even with the abrasive personality, Bird deserved to join the clan quite a bit. “No” Bird gave a monotone reply, the thought of being in a clan made him sick. “Oh, maybe I could visit you again sometime now that I know the way there?” CanaryStar asked making Bird think before nodding. “I’ll see you soon than Bird, be careful” CanaryStar said, loners had tough lives she’s heard. “I haven’t died yet” Was all Bird said before turning around and disappearing into the grasses. CanaryStar was met with worry, even from her usually cold brother, but she reassured everyone and told them she got lost but a kind loner guided her back. Daisyfall simply watched as the grasses swayed with the breeze, he had already hunted so why waste more energy than needed? He just tilted his head as he saw Mossbeetle approach him. ‘He’s usually quite the recluse, I wonder what he would talk to me about’ Daisyfall thought as Mossbeetle stopped before him. “I heard you found another healing plant, can you show me where it is?” Mossbeetle made his voice even, something about Daisyfall put him on edge though he couldn’t pin it down. “Ah, right. Follow me” Daisyfall gestured to follow with his tail as he got up and started walking making Mossbeetle silently follow him. / “Here it is” Daisyfall said as he stepped aside to reveal another healing fruit. “This will be good for the clan, though I do have a question for you” Mossbeetle said as he turned towards the other nicheling. “Sure” Daisyfall was curious, was this the actual reason he asked him to show him the healing fruit? “What do you intent to do here?” Mossbeetle asked with narrowed eyes. ‘So he thinks I have an evil plan?’ Daisyfall thought, interesting indeed. “To live a clan life, perhaps have kits of my own” Daisyfall answered honestly, he had no plans beyond that at the moment. Mossbeetle kept a narrow eyed gaze on him before sighing. “Alright, thanks for finding another healing plant” Mossbeetle said but wandered off before Daisyfall could reply. ‘…Trust isn’t easy for him is it?’ He thought to himself before going back to camp. A bearyena had attacked because it was getting to peaceful apparently. Sandwing was the only one hurt but it wasn’t a pretty injury. “Eat this” Mossbeetle said as he pushed the bitter healing fruit over to Sandwing, who’s nose scrunched up at the smell. But he the withering glare he got from Mossbeetle made him quickly start eating it, and it did help. Mossbeetle used the same flowers from before to put on his wound after stopping the bleeding. “You’ll be here for about a moon seeing as your injury is bad” Mossbeetle explained making Sandwing deflate before realizing this would be a great chance to actually interact with Mossbeetle. “Okay” Sandwing agreed. “…You seem very dedicated for a nicheling who didn’t want their role” Sandwing’s words made Mossbeetle still. “No one else will do it” Was all he responded with before going back to checking on the herb supply. “I guess you’re right” Sandwing felt bad about his words the second he said them and even worse at Mossbeetle’s reaction and words. ‘I wish I had my old clan so I could take you away from the stressfull life you’ve been forced into’ Sandwing thought to himself as he watched Mossbeetle work.
  19. (Also before we start today’s update if you’re like ‘Huh they look kinda weird’ I turned down the animal texture quality to make the game run better so yeah-) Not too long after settling on this new island Peony and Cherry announced they would be having a second pup. They had talked quite a bit about it and decided they were more prepared this time, unlike the last time with Coffee. Coffee didn’t really care, not in a rude way but more of a ‘It doesn’t hurt nor help me’ way. Cherry smiled as he looked at the blind pup that squeaked in the nest. “I think we should name him Cloud, for his pattern and his eyes” Cherry suggested making Peony think about it for a bit before nodding. “Seems like a good name for him” Peony agreed as she curled around the pup tiredly. “I’m going to take a nap” Peony said as she felt her eyes start to droop. “Alright, get some rest” Cherry said as he watched her start to drift off. ‘I hope that we do better with you, we loved Coffee but we were a bit awkward and it led to her not really talking to us anymore’ Cherry thought as he looked at his new pup a bit nervously. He adored his daughter but she only talked to them if they did first or if she wanted or needed something, she was quite independent for such a young adult nicheling. ‘I guess we’ll see’ He thought before going to drift off as well. ‘This is boring, if there was something dangerous we would know by now’ Ring thought as he boredly wandered around in a patrol of the territory edge. He then almost jumped out of his fur after running into something, the other nicheling also flinched seems they were startled too. “Sorry about that, I’m Ring!” Ring said as watched the nicheling recover from their almost heart attack too. “It’s fine, I’m Lucky” The nicheling said, having been terrified Ring was a hostile nicheling about to attack him or something. “Nice to meet you, do you wanna join my pack?” Ring asked deciding he might as well ask since this new nicheling is here. “Oh well, as long as they don’t mind?” Lucky hesitantly agreed, why would a nicheling invite someone they just met? But more food for him so why not? Alright follow me!“ Ring chirped before turning around and leading Lucky to the heart of the territory. / “Why would you bring a random nicheling, a potential threat mind you, right to our home?!” River snarled at Ring while he just tilted his head with an easygoing smile on his face. “Didn’t attack me when I was alone and therefore weaker” Ring replied making River growl again but before she could speak Peony spoke up. “Stop fighting” Peony’s tone left no room for argument making River snap her jaw shut, though she was VERY tempted to continue arguing, a flicking tail was the only indicator of that though. “You may join as long as you have good intentions, don’t mind River” Peony said making River bristle but keep quiet and just resort to giving a glare that Peony only returned with a blank stare. “Um, thank you?” It came out more like a question as Lucky was a bit unnerved by the tension that seemed to ooze from Peony and especially River. ‘She’s not going to kill me in my sleep or something is she?’ Was Lucky’s only thought as Ring led him off to explore. One on paw, her brother’s admiration and praise for her made Coffee puff up with pride, but on the other she couldn’t get a break. ‘Can’t he bother our parents or any other nicheling instead of following me around?!’ Coffee thought as she patrolled the territory, irritated she couldn’t adventure because she didn’t even want to think of how much trouble she’d be in if he got hurt…then she rethought that. “Hey Cloud” She thought making Cloud’s ears twitch before he responded. “Yeah?” Cloud asked making Coffee’s grin twitch up a little at the excited tone he had, maybe he’d like this just as much as her. “Do you wanna go on an adventure with me, into the grasses?” She asked making Cloud beam, his cool older sister was gonna let him go on an adventure with her! “Yeah!” Cloud said excitedly. “Well let’s go” Coffee said making Cloud happily bounce after her. / The two were having fun and actually bonding as they pushed through the tall grasses, sniffing at anything interesting and having fun exploring someplace new together. Then Cloud’s ear twitched. “Something is here” Cloud said as he sniffed the air again, nothing he had ever smelled before. “I don’t smell or hear anything, it’s fine!” Coffee reassured and while Cloud’s gut was telling him to leave he admired his sister so he just agreed and the two carried on through the grasses. But the scent just kept getting stronger, it wasn’t a nicheling or a rabill, not even one of those dodomingo things, it was harmless right? No it was not. Coffee’s blood felt like it had been frozen as she heard loud pawsteps then the sound of her brother scream. She whipped around faster than even she though possible and saw a bearyena pinning her brother under it’s huge paws with blood leaking onto the dirt below, causing her to snarl before launching herself at it and taking it by surprise. The bearyena roared and tried to swiping at her but she was able to dodge most of the blows, except for one which let a large claw slice across her right eye causing her to yelp before steeling herself and continuing to fight until it finally fell. Coffee was panting from exhaustion but she went over to her brother, he was alive but passed out so she grabbed him by the scruff and went back home, mentally preparing for whatever her parents did for such a reckless mistake. / “WHAT HAPPENED?!” Peony yelled as she rushed over while Cherry was silent but obviously worried and terrified for his pup’s safety. “Well Cloud admired me for the adventures I’ve gone on so I decided to let him explore with me and a bearyena ambushed us” Coffee explained as Peony looked over Cloud while Cherry was checking on the wound on Coffee’s face. “That was stupidly dangerous, and to involve your brother” Peony growled after doing what she could for Cloud. Coffee just curled her tail around herself and looked at her paws. “You could’ve gotten him killed because of your mistake you know that?” Peony continued as she slowly approached her daughter. “He could’ve died and it would’ve been because you couldn’t just do what you’re told for once” Peony continued making Coffee glare at the ground before speaking. “So it’s just Cloud huh?” She said stunning Peony while Cherry just looked between his mate and his oldest pup nervously. “So if I died you wouldn't have cared at all” Coffee scoffed making Peony slightly narrow her eyes. “It’s not that-” Peony tried to speak but Coffee growled. “Good to know I mean sooo much” She snapped before turning around and stalking off, River would understand she’s sure. Peony sighed but went back to Cloud while Cherry just stared at his daughter’s retreating figure, not knowing what to do, choose his mate or his pup at this point?
  20. Ah alright, well I'll be ready whenever than!
  21. Mudtail and Frosteyes were shocked as they found an apprentice aged nicheling in the grasses while patrolling. “What’s your name?” Frosteyes asked as she wondered why this nicheling was here. “I’m Sandpaw!” The nicheling said making the other two more surprised, a clan or at least former clan nicheling? “Where is your clan?” Mudtail asked making Sandpaw look down sadly. “The island we were on before was overwhelmed with bearyena so they told me to run but when I got here none of my other clanmates arrived” Sandpaw said as he looked at the ground. “Well you could join our clan” Frosteyes suggested. “But what if my clan mates come back?” Sandpaw asked as he looked at the two nichelings. “Well you can stay with us until they do” Frosteyes said though she had a feeling they never would, it was mostly to reassure Sandpaw. “Okay but if they come back I’m going with them” Sandpaw said making Frosteyes a bit worried about the small chance but shoved it down and nodded. “Alright, come with us!” Mudtail said, excited to have a bigger clan, before leading the two back to the camp. / “Well the nicheling already knows of clan life and wants to join so sure” BadgerStar agreed, mostly just wanting to go back to sleep, being leader is a lot of work. “Do you promise to uphold the warrior code and defend your clan, even with your life?” BadgerStar recited as she looked at Sandpaw. “I do” Sandpaw said though he was hesitant, what if his clan came back? “Then until you become a warrior you will be mentored by Mudtail” BadgerStar said making Mudtail perk up curiously, she would be his mentor? “Teach him all you know” She finished making Mudtail go up and touch noses with Sandpaw. “That’s all” BadgerStar said before leaping down from the stump and causing nichelings to disperse. “How far into your training were you?” Mudtail asked making Sandpaw look over at her. “Hm two moons!” Sandpaw chirped making Mudtail nod. “Well let’s go do some hunting practice” Mudtail said making Sandpaw grin before the two ran off…not knowing a nicheling was watching with slight bitterness but also awe. “That could’ve been me…” Mosspaw said sadly as she watched them disapper into the grasses. But she just sighed and went back to her mentor, dragging her paws. A sickness had started to spread through camp and although Sharpdove was trying his best it ended up taking all of BadgerStar’s lives. ‘At this rate I’ll be known for having leaders lose all their lives under my care’ Sharpdove thought bitterly as she continued to try and heal everyone as best e could with an unenthusiastic Mosspaw. / “Seeing as I am the new leader I need to choose a new deputy” Marigoldpounce, or MmarigoldStar now, said to the gathered nichelings causing some whispering. “Frosteyes, will you be the clan’s deputy” Frosteyes was shocked, she was choosing a blind nicheling? “If you’d like me to than it’d be an honor” Frosteyes spoke with a slight bow of her head. “Then you will be the deputy, clan dismissed” MarigoldStar said making the nichelings disperse. “Congratulations!” Mudtail chirped as she nuzzled her mate, excited for her new position in the clan. “Thank you” Frosteyes smiled as she nuzzled her back. hoping she would be good at this. (I FORGOT THE SCREENSHOT-) --------------- Life had become brutal for everyone but especially Mosspaw, she wasn’t even 12 moons and it felt like life had it out for her and this entire clan. First MarigoldStar also lost her lives to this sickness, then her mentor died from said sickness, meaning she had to do it all still as an apprentice, and then a bearyena appears to come try and kill more nichelings! Mosspaw launched herself at it even with her lack of battle training and due to her inexperience a claw was being aimed at her but Canarypaw jumped in front of her, taking a hit across her left shoulder. Mosspaw gasped before going to inspect the wound while the other clan members continued attacking it. “Stay still” Mosspaw growled making Canarypaw huff but comply. “It’s deep, you won’t be able to do your warrior duties until it’s decently healed” Mosspaw said. “But I want to hunt!” Canarypaw said making Mosspaw roll her eyes. “Yeah yeah, c’mon” She said as she helped her sister to the medicine den and started to work on the wound. Thankfully the bearyena was taken down with no other injuries. Life was stressful but Mosspaw decided to tell Mudtail something that was a more quiet struggle as she and Frosteyes, or FrostStar now, were the only adult nichelings Mosspaw was close to. “I just want a mane like Sandpaw and I don’t want to be called she, wanna be he, with a mane!” Mosspaw huffed making Mudtail blink in shock before softly smiling. “I have an idea” Mudtail said, excited that Mosspaw told her first, and happy because she felt she would know better than most about a similar feeling. Mosspaw followed her curiously as they came across a puddle with mud in it. “Why are we by some mud?” Mosspaw asked curiously. “Well Mud is a loner nickname I got because I use mud to flatten my mane to my head” Mudtail hummed as she gathered some mud on her paws. “You have a mane?” Mosspaw asked making Mudtail slightly frown but grin again. “Well I wanted to be a she so I flattened my mane. And you want to be a he so I can give you a mane” Mudtail said and before Mosspaw could ask anything Mudtail put some mud on the top and sides of Mosspaw’s head and pushed it back to look spikier and shaped it into shape before pulling back. “What did you do?” Mosspaw asked curiously. “Look in the puddle at your reflection” Mudtail simply said making Mosspaw go over and look before gasping. “I have a mane now!” Mosspaw said, admiring the reflection. “Yep, now you have a mane to match how you feel” Mudtail grinned making Mosspaw beam before running off to show everyone as this gave more confidence. Mudtail just laughed before following behind. FrostStar felt both in agony and completely empty after learning Mudtail had also been taken by the sickness that was ravaging the clan. ‘Why her? Why did you have to take my wonderful mate away?’ She thought as she sat by the body of her mate, not leaving until the next moonrise as she didn’t know how she would continue without her. “I tried, I promise” Mosspaw said as he noticed how pained FrostStar looked. ‘I won’t take it out on him, he was only an apprentice and had to do this by himself’ FrostStar calmed herself before she spoke to Mosspaw. “It’s alright, you did your best” FrostStar said making Mosspaw slightly growl. “But my best wasn’t good enough! I’m not a good medicine nicheling I don’t know why they chose me!” Mosspaw growled as he felt anger at the fact he couldn’t save the nicheling closest to him. “StarClan is confusing, but they chose you for a reason, even if you can’t see it now. You’re a good medicine nicheling you’re just under a lot pressure with this sickness” Frosteyes reassured the extremely stressed out apprentice, he deserved to be made a full medicine nicheling by now didn’t he? “I feel you deserve your name” FrostStar spoke making Mosspaw look up in shock. “But I’m only eleven moons” He said making FrostStar smile. “You deserve it” FrostStar said. / “Mosspaw has trained hard in the ways of the medicine nicheling and even helped during such a stressful event like this so I feel he deserves his medicine nicheling name a moon early” FrostStar said on the stump. “From now on you will be known as Mossbeetle, for your bravery and strength during such a tough time in the clan” FrostStar said making Mossbeetle smile before it dropped as he realized this was it, he would never have a chance at being a warrior now. The other nichelings, that were left anyway, cheered as they congratulated him on such a rare thing but everything felt numb as he never wanted this role but was now permnantly stuck in it. ‘Guess that’s it, I’ll never get to fight, to hunt for the clan, to fight any potential wars’ He thought as he walked off to the medicine den. (No screenshot part two-)
