bostonlobstah
This will be another continuation of this: Except it will be for only one tribe instead of tons. This tribe started out as a wanderer challenge which morphed into a tribe with a quest: Reach First Snow and survive there long enough to create a proper Reindeer Miss Niche! As I have with my other playthrough, I will post the old content onto here first, and then just keep going! Enjoy!
bostonlobstah
Here are the rules for the Wanderer Challenge: Basically you can only have ONE adult Nicheling in the tribe (With some rare exceptions and if you're desperate. Yeah I'm a rule breaker), preferably Female. The female is only allowed to breed with other wanderers WITHOUT inviting them into the tribe (again, exceptions because I hate strict rules. You can be strict tho to make it more exciting) You must pick a single female from the wanderer's children to become the next Heiress that you will be playing. Once the Heiress is fully grown, the mother must be released. All children who are not Heiresses must also be released ASAP. I allow mutation menus, but to make it even harder, you can have mutations be illegal. Also you can do it on any island, but I did mine on peaceful meadow because I didn't know how this challenge would work and wanted to make it simple as possible. So basically, try to survive playing a wanderer for as long as possible. Unfortunately I started it a bit too early to post it here from the start so I'll just show where I am now. Here's where I started pic-taking. This stinky and fluffy girl caught sickness from her mother and didn't live as long. But I still loaf (ha! LOAF! bread? get it?) her a lot. Her yellow brother was released once Stinky Yellow was grown up (I forget her actual name, unfortunately) Stinky Yellow meets her...uh IDK what relation he is to her honestly. (I don't think it's her dad. Her dad was a yellow poison fanged guy.) Stinky Yellow grew up and found a young wanderer with antlers and...frog legs apparently, since Siraana here (I'll call her Stinky Spots coz that's easier to remember) was born with the frog legs. Stinky Yellow's first 2 children were males, but she kept them long enough to fight off a mama bearyena. Unfortunately, Stinky Yellow died from the attack. Stinky Spots grew up and bred with her compatible-immunity brother and had Stinky Beige. Then she had a child with the friendly Bearyena, who I'll call Baby Bear. I don't know who should carry on the line now! Baby Bear has better strength and fertility (but still quite low), and both of them have normal hindlegs and 2 fertility in the mutation menu. But Stinky Beige is just sooo cute and fluffy....but I think I'll still go with Baby Bear. She has more potential I feel like. (also sorry I didn't take pics in this 20+ day time span; I was too distracted by all the mayhem.) Stinky Beige and her promising little half-sister, Baby Bear.
bostonlobstah
After playing for many days, I have declared this challenge a success! The wanderers may end up taking on a new lifestyle now that the challenge's test run is over. Baby Bear now has a derp snouted son. ...And now a daughter. Looks like this one's the keeper. I love her coloring! Whoddat?? Awwww! Oh look. the bearyena we just killed has a BABY! What a cute child! (I can't remember if the yellow kid was the dad or not, but I think it was actually the brown guy) Who the heck are YOU!? And look at the next cute baby! Mother-daughter bonding. All grown up, with her mate and sickly son... AAAAA everyone is sick why I think she mated her brother....but oh who is this handsome fella? All alone and searching for love... We managed to find a big bodied derpy guy and now we welcome little Israana (Emerald) into the world! Here's Emerald meeting her boyfriend for the first time. Her father Nuta, her baby brother, and her mother's bones are all in the background. All of Emerald's descendants love living a loner's life. They toy with the wandering males, only to leave them and wander the island like rogue females. But Emerald is different. She wants a life where she can settle down and raise a family, and watch a tribe grow. But, Emerald is also no ordinary starter. Her genes aren't the best, and some may call her appearance ugly. Can her tribe be sustained when she has hardly anything to go off of?
bostonlobstah
The Saga Continues! Emerald and her mate have settled down by the sea, and now they have their own little family! Someone just found the love of his life, swimming in the sea! And now she's expecting! Emerald and her little crippled daughter. Another seafaring wanderer has been found! Hello Kirkuta, welcome to the tribe! When a brother and sister have compatible immunity genes... The tribe grows! Rest in Peace, Emerald.

Sky
I just tried the wanderer challenge. my starting female found three baby/teenage males in her lifetime, but the two that she was able to breed with had B immunity, which she had, so her first son is sick. The first wanderer she found was blind and infertile Since she only had two sons, I'm just going to restart.

I tried again after that, and some beautiful daughters were born, but a Bearyena killed my female, leaving me with no creatures at all. So, I restarted a third time, and kind of made some new rules/edited the old one. First, I can breed with the males I breed. Second, I can keep males that are born into the tribe, (and have them collect food etc) but if I want to breed them, they must first be released. Third, I can invite in female wanderers and breed them, but once they're adults, i must release my current breeding female, and the new female must breed with one of the males I bred, so the line will continue properly. Currently, the tribe is at day 130, with 90 food and six creatures (breeding female, one old male, two teenage males from the previous female,a nd a teen female from the previous breeder.). So far, so good!

So far, so good! That's great! Like I said, bending the rules a little is okay! My rules included keeping all kids and teens in the tribe until adulthood. Once the line carrier reached adulthood, the mother had to be released. I also did some breading with my bros as well. (Why everyone ended up sick lol) I was on peaceful meadow, too, so if you weren't on PM that may have affected the gameplay--?
Sky
Just now, bostonlobstah said: That's great! Like I said, bending the rules a little is okay! The tribe had died out on one, and when I restarted, i took my female to the flower port, and that's where they settled. Once when I passed the day I noticed slashes appear on a wanderer on the corner of the screen, and there was some Bearyena meat in front of her. I guess the Bearyena attacked her but her Spiky Body fought back. I got free food!
bostonlobstah
Hey sorry it's been a while A lot has happened so let's get some updates! my second-ever set of identical twins has been born. The Twin Goddesses, Cloud and Sky, smile down upon this tribe it seems. Unfortunately, neither of them have useful genes besides the poison fangs. Here's when Pineapple the wanderer was found! You can tell I absolutely adore her! And she has recessive big body, yay! MMM she is GORgeous She's having some kids now. Hoping for a big bodied baby. Crap Triple crap. It's supposed to be a 50/50 chance! WHY CANT I JUST HAVE A BIG KID FPIYAEGSHBKG The local friendly bearyena comes for a visit. YES finally we have here a big bodied daughter Come ON you stupid friendly bearyena. Look at the bunnils EVERYFREAKINGWHERE you have one job and you aren't doing it There we go. It's called being Self-Sufficient. Um, hello...? If I were you, good sir, I would skeedaddle on outta there I'm serious the prey on this island have got iSSuEs We are leaving now, Equipped with Big Body, bearyena claw and poison fangs. Huh. So there's no snow port here. I guess we'll just skim thru this island. oh look a tree stump A bearyena tries to ruin our fun. That's not gonna happen! Ha! Loser. Also, this wanderer showed up. I have learned from last time to SHOW NO MERCY unless it's cute or useful! A clone of his father has just been born, same paws and all! Pineapple would be proud of her grandson :,)
