iikuzal
Welcome to my playthrough! Today I am going to try to make my tribe stay alive for more than 5 seconds lol <<Rules Here >>
Sky
Sometimes this challenge is easy, and sometimes your breeding pair has three children, all of which are killed by bearyenas within two days of their birth. Let's hope your tribe does whatever is most entertaining
iikuzal
ok i've finished playing quite a few days and the tribe isn't extinct so that's good I'm gonna post the first few pictures now and the next later We start with Nasise, a beautiful and healthy young female. (Her name was picked by the name generator which i added some new syllables to) uh... NO Nasise runs away, and fortunately (or unfortunately for the other creature) the bearyena goes after another nicheling. Nasise hears the wanderer's cries as they are attacked and killed by the bearyena, and runs towards the grasses. (You can't see the wanderer here but I heard the bearyena attack someone) Nasise hides in the grass. She stays in the grass for a few days, and finally catches her first meal. Nasise is finally fully grown and now thinks about finding a mate. Please tell me that that defender bear did not see Nasise kill the mole. The defender bear wanders away, and Nasise smells someone in the darkness. I let her bread with the rogue, so at least there will be another creature in the tribe. OH SHOOT I FORGOT ABOUT THE PREGNANCY DURATION SO I HAD HER BUILD HER NEST NOW Nasise hears a strange creature in the tall grass... but she doesn't have enough nesting material unless she destroys her nest. Nasise hears a rustling sound in the grass. It smells like her own species... COME BACK HERE Hello Kurruku! oh no and i can't even attack them because of the spiiikyyyy bodyyyy aa The pair find an abundance of food for both of them. But then.... Nasise steps in front of Kurruku, risking her own and her unborn child's life to defend her adopted child. The bearyena attacks and kills Nasise, leaving poor Kurruku traumatised.

iikuzal
Kurruku runs to the stream, hiding in the tall savanna grass. His yellow fur night save him... Thankfully, the bearyena didn't spot him! Kurruku safely crosses the stream and picks a few berries to keep himself fed. But he is alone... He suddenly hears something in the distance. It's another nicheling! The wanderer was starving because of her lack of ability to collect, so Kurruku offers her some of his berries, and she becomes part of the tribe. Somebody else is also sneaking around in the grass. Also we're getting very low on food! The rain gives the tribe more berries to keep themselves fed. Nishire, a half-bat and half-wolf comes out of the grass to investigate the strange creatures in her territory. They offer her some food, and she lets them stay.

iikuzal
Sorry that I couldn't post yesterday - here's a little screenshot of what the tribe looks like now while I post the next batch of screenshots There's currently a bit of a fertility issue and the majority of the creatures have 3 or less
iikuzal
Also a few tips for this playthrough that I have learned from experience: -Don't bread closely related creatures. A sick baby will die instantly. -When a bearyena spawns, count the damage that can be done from each nicheling before deciding to attack or run. If the combined strength of the nichelings (from each action that can be used to attack) is lower than 14, retreat into the grass. (I hope I explained that clear enough) -Don't bring spiky bodies near water. (Leeches)

iikuzal
ok i've finally got time to post these so please bear with my awful storytelling skillz - Nishire gets pregnant with Kurruku's child and chases a rabbil, as the tribe is getting low on food. They take in an orphan with scorpion tail, and banish the deformed pawed wanderer because she can't really do much and we are starving. The new creature takes down the rabbil with ease because of her venomous tail. The others begin to see that she is a useful addition to the tribe. Kurruku finds a lost child in the grass. He invites her in because she is just a child. Kofishi finds a healing plant, though it won't really be of any use. oh no Meanwhile, unaware of the danger, Nishires child is born. Shoca can't really do much apart from attack, but it's good to have more creatures in the tribe. The two derp snouts run towards Kurruku, Nishire and Shoca to warn them about the bearyena.
iikuzal
... but they get distracted by a baby in the grass. The pair take him in. The bearyena catches sight of the baby. Koce jumps in front of the baby. The bearyena, fortunately (or unfortunately for the rabbil) goes after a rabbil instead. However, there is a new threat... Things don't look so good... (well, the food supply is increasing!) Nishire has a few more children with Kurruku. Shoca leaves the nest. NOOOOO FISHIMI!!!! (that was the pink derp snout) Also, poor Koce. It's not any better for this part of the tribe. Nishire's child dies due to a mysterious illness.
