It would be nice if we could desing our own starter animals. There would also be an option to have a random pair. We could choose their genetics exept for eyesight, fertility, blood clotting and immunity. Also we couldn't use bearyena genes, ice genes or genes only accessable by breeding or inviting animals to your tribe etc... There could also be an option to use these genetics but then you couldn't actually use these creatures for gameplay.

I know. I posted this before reading anyone else's suggestions... No one had suggested it in Niche wiki, so i tought no one would have suggested it here. I'm a bit dumb

Ah no problem! It's better to search first but it can happen since it seams like the search option on the forums is quite hard to figure out.
