Quickly, Baba, Leo, and Daisy swarm the plant. They spend all of the next day trying to get her out. By bashing, smashing and clawing at the thick pink petals. Even Pig comes to help

Then Nina hears a stag-mole on the other side of some grass. They're pretty low on food so.... And before Daisy can scream no, Nina pounces and the world goes black.

The five start moving. Pig stays behind to gather some berries and practice self quarantine.

Then Daisy walks over. 'What did you guys find?' She looks at Baba and Leo. 'Meh. Nothing worth staying for. I think I'm ready to leave.' 'Good, cause we found a port. Looks to lead to some sort of grass island.' Daisy replies. Leo looks at the ground. 'Guess we'll take this guy too.' They looks at Pig.

Nina thinks. Harder than she's ever thunk. If this Pig guy moved here a long time ago, maybe he's a great grandfather who just doesn't recognize her! If he left his family so long ago he would ever know she was born!

In the morning Leo asks Pig about how he came about these lands. So far they've been used to being the only one's on the island so it's pretty suprising to see other nicheling. Pig coughs and speaks in a raggedy, horse voice.'Ya see yellow guy, I'm a very sick man. I was born sick, and will die. It's what the doc-i-tors call incurable. So, when I heard about the magic healing plants that grown ever so commonly on this forsaken island I had to come! Been here ever since.' Leo takes a step back. By now, Pig's caught the attention of the others as well with his story.

Meanwhile, Daisy goes to gather some berries. Someone used them all inviting an old pink man into their group.

'What the heck is a pig?' Daisy saids, confused. 'I dunno.' Nina looks at the new comer carefully. She, like Baba, sees the resemblance as well. She allows herself for a second to feel a rush of hope. 'Could this be a long lost family member?' By now, she had forgoten almost all emotional attachment to what used to be her family, but talking about it the other day with Daisy resurfaced an old dream she never knew she had.

Suddenly the bushes give a little rustle and out pops a man! A very old one too. 'Who are you?' Baba asks. 'Huh? Who are you, lady?' 'I'm Baba. Why are you eating the sunplants?' 'Hmmmmm never heard them called that before. I'm Pig.' 'Pig?' 'Yeah. Don't ask me.' Baba looks this pig man up and down. He looks fruzzy, a little crazied. She can't help but notice that he kinda looks like Nina... She decides to take him home. 'Everyone this is Pig. Pig, everyone.' Pig scratches himself on the neck and little black flees spray everywhere.

'There they are!' Leo exclaims. (I don't know what's with this guy and his eyes ://////)

Baba and Leo can neither see nor smell the ape so they relax But while they walk back Baba notices something off.

Oh jeez While making their way back to the meeting area Daisy and Nina play another game of avoid-that-flesh-eating-plant.

As they run Baba says 'One of the apes. There's three types.' 'That was an ape? A lot more yellower than I imagined.' Soon they reach a safe distance and rest.

Leo leaps off the stump immediately. 'HOLY HERMIT WHAT IS THAT.' Baba knows they're out of luck. 'Run!'

Meanwhile, at the clearing, Leo gets excited. He's never found an anciet tribal home before. 'Those nest must be where they raised their young! And this tree, so centered. Maybe part of an ancient ceremony! And this stump must beAHHHHHHH' Just as Leo jumps onto the stump he is greeted with a big-eyed, unblinking face. The ape stares at him with a desire to num num. mmmmmm I have come for my nicheling nuggies

Back over with Daisy and Nina a tiny plants sprouts in the place of the one they ate. Nice Nina gets hungry. The plant from yesterday was not enough to fill her up. 'Hey Daisy! Hear any rabbils??' Daisy is not in the mood to hunt 'Nope.' Secretly she always felt she looked to close to a rabbil to enjoy watching one getting eaten.

Way back in the heart of the island the rain has stopped. Leo steps forward. It's a clearing! Out of all the weeds and bush on the island it's a relief to see. It must be, or have been, home to a tribe. Who could resist a place like this? Dew lies on the soft grass from the recent days of rain. A colorful tree splat in the middle with large, low hanging fruits. A smell radiates off the strange tree carpeting the whole place in a sweet aroma. No smell of nichelings though. If this ever was a home it would have had to been a long long time ago. And it goes all the way to the beach! DANG this some good restate.

Well it was yesterday but meh. 1 YEAR AND 1 DAY! I think that makes me middle age in forum years. Maybe mid thirties?
