CosmicChaos21
Blossompaw trudged toward camp, trying her best to delay the inevitable of having to choose what she would do. Would she lie and live with the guilt for the rest of her life living a lie? Or would she come clean and ruin the life she had built and risk being chased out? Neither option seemed appealing to her if she was honest with herself. Eventually she made her way to the edge of camp. The usual hustle and bustle would usually energize her and bring her spirits high but at the moment it brought her nothing but anxiety. Would they stare at her with disgust and disdain after learning she had blood on her paws? After taking a breath she strutted into camp with an attempt to exude her usual confidence but considering that every nicheling in the clan knew her well she could feel the stares on her pelt. She felt unease prickle across her pelt as her mom made her way over with Sandwing following behind. âWhatâs wrong?â CanaryStar asked as she immediately noticed the odd demeanor her kit was having. âAnd whereâs your mentor?â Sandwing added but despite looking at him Blossompawâs attention was fully focused on the fact she could hear two sets of pawsteps coming over before noticing that both Mossbeetle and Crowpaw seemed to have come to check on her as well. Usually it would warm her heart but at the moment the last thing she wanted was more nichelings around as it made her feel crowded as her mind scrambled for an explanation or cover-up. âI swear if he just left you by yourselfâ Mossbeetleâs annoyed grumbles reached Blossompawâs ears despite the fact that most noise felt far away and fuzzy at the moment. âBlossompaw are you o-â Blossompaw interrupted Sandwingâs words with burst of words. âI KILLED HIM!â The words burst out of her without prompting or time to think as the guilt wrapped around her chest like a tangled patch of thorns. Silence reigned over the surrounding nichelings for enough time to make Blossompaw consider fleeing before Twigstrike spoke. âNo, NO!â The words made Blossompaw shrink on herself at seeing the nicheling she considered an older brother look at her with complete disbelief. âYouâŚyou wouldnât do thatâ Twigstrike said as the other nichelings started reacting to her confession. âNoâŚâ Was all CanaryStar said as she looked at Blossompaw. Thereâs no way her kit would have paws stained with blood right? There had to be a reason or purpose, her kit wouldnât attack her own clanmate for no reason or for fun. CanaryStar looked at her kit begging for an explanation. âI didnât mean to!â Blossompaw yelled before anyone else could speak, wanting a chance to explain the situation. It seemed to work as every nichelings expectant stare fell on her with more weight than she ever wanted to bear. âHe attacked me firstâ She said causing some shock to spread through the crowd, Tigerthorn was cold but he didnât come across as the type to attack his own apprentice. âAnd it was only because he accidentally let it slip that he was the one who killed Daisyfallâ Blossompaw finished explaining causing even more shock at the idea. Daisyfallâs death was never figured out despite many attempts to find the cause. âYouâre not lying to cover yourself?â Mossbeetle asked making CanaryStar scowl at the idea of Mossbeetle accusing her daughter of that. Blossompaw aggressively shook her head and Mossbeetle somewhat relaxed with a nod. âIf what you say is true than it would be self-defenseâ CanaryStar reasoned and none of the nichelings disagreed though it was obvious the actions had somewhat changed their view of Blossompaw. âButâ The word crushed any hope Blossompaw had as she heard her mom speak. âI canât let you off without punishment, so as your punishment you will not be getting your warrior name next sunrise like you were going to, and youâll always have to be watched by someoneâ CanaryStar spoke with a stern tone and Blossompaw was devastated but didnât say a peep as she knew that was nothing for what she did. So she just nodded in response. Blossompaw cautiously lifted her gaze towards Crowpaw as she had been silent the entire time. Crowpaw stared back at the other apprentice before her face shifted to one of discomfort, breaking eye contact and looking off to the side. Blossompaw felt pain crush her a little more at the reaction from the nicheling she was closest to. âCome with meâ Mossbeetleâs words made Blossompaw look at him with confusion. âYour wound will get infectedâ Mossbeetle said as he turned around and started walking towards the medicine den. As if to remind her the bite-mark on her shoulder let out a pulse of pain that made her slightly wince before following after her uncle. The next sunrise the clan was gathered for Crowpawâs naming ceremony. Unfortunately, the usually cheerful occasion was blanketed with an air of unease after the events that had just occurred. Crowpaw wanted to be excited for this event but she couldnât muster the happiness as she looked to her side which was only occupied by air. The spot was supposed to be taken by Blossompaw as the two got their warrior names at the same time like theyâd been planning for moons but now Crowpaw was getting her name alone and it felt wrong. CanaryStar didnât comment on the lack of energy Crowpaw held as she stepped in front of her clanmates. âThis apprentice has trained hard in learning the ways of a warrior so I call upon StarClan to give this apprentice her warrior nameâ The leader began as she looked over the crowd of nichelings that were gathered for the event, trying to ignore the small size of the clan. âBy the power of StarClan I give you your warrior name, from now on you will be known as Crowshade for your hunting capabilitiesâ CanaryStar closed up the ceremony with those words causing the clan nichelings to cheer. Well try to cheer anyway. Of all the nichelings the loudest was both surprising and not as Crowpaw- no Crowshade, looked over and saw Blossompaw who gave her a smile filled with both pride and sadness. Crowshade couldnât bare to look and instead turned her gaze towards her mentor who gave her a sunny smile though it was slightly strained from both stress and the age that had become more obvious with each sunrise. She looked away again and instead focused on CanaryStar until the meeting was over. The lack of a greeting from Sandwing had definitely confused CanaryStar as her deputy had made a habit of greeting her every sunrise, after Mossbeetle of course, so she was a bit confused but brushed it off as getting carried away talking to Mossbeetle but when Twigstrike told her that he hadnât sent him on a hunting patrol she become concerned. âHey Mossbeetle have you- ohâ CanaryStarâs words froze in her throat as she saw her brother blanking staring at Sandwing, who wasnât breathing or showing a single sign of life. âIs heâŚ?â CanaryStar tentatively asked not wanting to assume the worst and hoping she was wrong. âHeâs goneâ Mossbeetleâs words would come across as cold or uncaring to many but CanaryStarâs ears flattened upon hearing her brotherâs statement. She slowly approached Sandwing and looked at him as if hoping he would suddenly crack open an eye and ask whatâs wrong. She couldnât help but feel disappointed when he was as still as he had been since she walked into the medicine den. âIâm so sorryâ CanaryStarâs whisper felt like it would echo in the complete silence of the den. âYou canât stop ageâŚunfortunatelyâ Mossbeetle said with a waver in his tone that made CanaryStar look over at her brotherâs face. She was saddened as she saw tears gathering in his eyes along with the fact he was obviously trying to hold them back. CanaryStar just scooted closer so their shoulders were touching and that small action seemed to break the dam as Mossbeetle let out a sob. He then turned his head and buried his snout into his sisterâs shoulder as he continued to sob with tears soaking CanaryStarâs shoulder. But she didnât mind and wrapped her tail around him to let him know that she was here for him, only being able to imagine the pain he was in. Mossbeetle felt like it wasnât fair. He had only recently gotten to be mates with Sandwing and now StarClan had taken him away. This only further proved to him that he was right in blocking out StarClanâs attempts to give him visions, they only ever hurt nichelings and made stupid rules that did nothing good. Gloominess clung to the nichelingâs like mud as CanaryStar sluggishly clambered onto the rock to make the inevitable announcement. It obviously didnât take long for everyone to hear of Sandwingâs passing and there was no nicheling who wasnât sad considering the size of the clan and Sandwingâs sunny personality. But CanaryStar couldnât delay it. âAs we all know Sandwing has sadly passed, old age comes for all at some point and it was his timeâ CanaryStar started as she looked over the gathered nichelings. âBut the clan must choose a new deputy to ensure the clanâs future isnât one of chaos and confusionâ She continued making most of the nichelings nod in agreement, except for Mossbeetle who wasnât entirely there despite the fact he had come for the meeting. âI say this before the spirit of Sandwing so he can approve of my choice, Twigstrike will be the new deputy of WildClanâ CanaryStar said causing Blossompaw and Crowshade to cheer for Twigstrike even if their hearts werenât entirely in it. Twigstrike knew this was coming but it still felt unexpected as he stood in front of his clanmates, could this even be considered a clan anymore? There were five of them and two were old enough that they could die without warning just like Sandwing had. Twigstrike pushed the thought out of his mind and tried to focus on the present. Noticing the nod Crowshade gave as Blossompaw beamed at him for being chosen. âMeeting dismissedâ CanaryStar said before getting ready to jump off the rock but her paw slipped and she tumbled onto the ground causing two gasps of shock from Crowshade and Blossompaw. Mossbeetle seemed to snap out of his stupor a bit as he rushed to his sisterâs side to check on her. âIâm fine, I just slippedâ CanaryStar said as she stood to her paws. âTake a rest at leastâ CanaryStar considered protesting but seeing the open worry of her brotherâs face gave her pause as she realized that he was probably concerned after losing Sandwing. âFineâ CanaryStar said making Mossbeetle relax as he led her to the medicine den to rest. The other nichelings watched before turning toward each other. They quickly dispersed into two groups, Blossompaw would be watched by Twigstrike while Crowshade went off by herself. The three had been close but now being near each other felt suffocating and awkward.

CosmicChaos21
Crowshade slipped into the medicine den to check on Mossbeetle and CanaryStar, feeling a bit worried after CanaryStarâs fumble at the last sunrise. She blinked before squinting at the darkness of the medicine den in the early sunrise while wondering how Mossbeetle could see anything at times like this. Once her vision adjusted she froze, hoping that she was just jumping to conclusions. CanaryStar was laying on the moss nest which wouldnât raise any alarm bells normally but the fact that Mossbeetle was laying somewhat on her with no signs of life caused Crowshade to quickly walk over to the two. She felt any signs of hope vanish as she checked the two for signs of life the way Mossbeetle had taught her as an apprentice. Upon finding nothing she slowly stepped back as she realized she would have to break the news to the other two. She was sure Twigstrike would feel some sadness at least but the thought of telling Blossompaw that her mom and uncle were dead made her feel nauseous, especially considering she was already not doing well after recent events. But she knew she couldnât stall it forever so she took a deep breath before turning around and walking out of the medicine den to inform the other two. = All three nichelings were gathered around the still bodies of CanaryStar and Mossbeetle, looking at them with both similar yet different emotions. Sadness was felt among all of them but their deaths meant something different to every nicheling. Crowshade knew CanaryStar was a great leader but she was more hurt by the death of Mossbeetle. He had taught her so much about herbs and healing to the point he was practically a second mentor to her so the fact she had lost both her mentor-figures was a crushing blow. Twigstrike was sad but he was also grappling with the thought that he was now technically the leader of the clan, though he felt it was barely a clan with only three nichelings, he had known about it for some time now but for the reality to come true was different. He could already feel the responsibility that was suddenly thrust onto his shoulders and he didnât know how to feel about it. Blossompaw wasâŚnot taking it well. At least internally she wasnât. She was trying to not let it show how it was affecting her as the weight of everything started to slowly crush her emotional state, she was already fighting with her grief and guilt over taking a nichelingâs life but now she had to deal with losing her mom and uncle at the same time without any space between. She felt it was unfair, wasnât she dealing with enough? Why did this have to happen? The three nichelings slept in different parts of the camp as they were all hurt but also feeling as if they couldnât lean on each-other even in this difficult situation. A scream jolted Twigstrike awake as he shot up from his nest and bolted out to see what made that noise. The sight of Blossompaw hissing at a large beast greeted him and to his horror he saw blood running down from an injury across her side. Without a moment of hesitation he launched himself at the bearyenaâs back, catching it off guard if the noise it made was any indicator, before sinking his teeth into the back of its neck. The beast roared in pain as it started to shake its pelt to dislodge its attacker. Despite his attempts to keep a hold Twigstrike felt his grip loosen before he flew off to the side. He grit his teeth when his body collided with the ground in an attempt to ignore the pain as he rose to his paws. The commotion had caused Crowshade to come investigate and it only took a few moments for her to understand the situation. Twigstrike ran around the bearyena to confuse it which gave Crowshade a chance to jump on its back. Crowshade wasnât shaken off like Twigstrike as she dug her teeth into the beastâs throat without letting go. the beast thrashed and ended up scratching one of Twigstrikeâs front legs making him jump back with the realization that he had been too close. Crowshadeâs attempts were met with victory when the beast started struggling less and eventually fell to the ground dead. She didnât let go for a few moments just in case before jumping off of the beastâs body. She looked over at Twigstrike before noticing the state Blossompaw was in. But before anything else could be done a growl sounded out that made every nicheling freeze before turning towards the edge of camp, where another bearyena had just stalked out of the grasses, and upon inspection it was easy to tell this one was much healthier due to the lack of showing ribs unlike the last one. âWe canât fight it, not like thisâ Crowshade said as she noticed Twigstrike preparing to attack. âBut wonât it just follow us?â Twigstrike asked as he was locked in a staring contest with the beast across the large clearing. âMaybe, but at least weâd have chance if we ranâ Crowshade said making Twigstrike scowl. âSo weâre just supposed to leave our home to the beast?â He asked with a lashing tail. âIt wonât matter if weâre all dead will it?â Crowshade asked making Twigstrike shut his mouth despite his annoyance. âFine, then how should we stop it from following the scent of blood?â He asked as he kept eye contact with the bearyena as he noticed it had stopped moving for the moment. âMaybe you should lead in the opposite direction, lose it, then follow our scentsâ Crowshade suggested. Twigstrike didnât love the idea but he could tell there wasnât much choice so he nodded. Twigstrike ignored the pain in his front leg as he darted close enough to anger the bearyena before darting away to avoid its claws, giving Crowshade and Blossompaw the chance to run away. He made sure it was following before turning around and running in the opposite direction. He felt his blood rushing through him as the roar of the bearyena sounded behind him along with the sound of thundering pawsteps. Every pawstep almost felt as if it shook the earth beneath him but he forced himself to keep running even as his leg seared with white hot flashes of pain. Every instinct in him was tearing itself apart with the inability to choose between run and fight. It was only after the sound of pawsteps stopped that he allowed himself to slow down, his entire body shaking from the adrenaline that carried him so far as the exhaustion started to seep in. He was tempted to just lay down and rest but he forced himself to find out where he was so he find the scents of his clanmates. It took until almost sun-down to find his clanmates but he was relieved when he did as he immeadiatly collapsed due to the adrenaline running out. Crowshade was relieved when he noticed he was mostly just tired. âThis will stingâ Twigstrikeâs sluggish mind barely processsed the words when stinging pain shot out from his injured leg causing him to instictually try to yank it back but Crowshade held it with a strong enough grip to keep it in place as she finished applying the chewed up healing fruit flowers. Twigstrike scowled a bit but didnât say a word as he knew it would be bad if his injury was infected. âHowâs Blossompaw?â Twigstrike was suddenly struck with the realization that Blossompaw had taken the most damage out of any of them. âShe should be fine, itâll scar but Iâve already applied the necessary herbs to make sure she doesnât dieâ Crowshade easily replied after checking over his injury once more before deciding she was satisfied with it for now. She took a step back before speaking once more. âShe tried to stay up to see you but the blood loss caused her to lose consciousness though thankfully sheâs doing as well as she could be in this situationâ Crowshade finished her explanation before turning around to check on the sleeping Blossompaw. âYou should get some restâ Crowshade said without looking away from Blossompaw. âShouldnât you?â Twigstrike retorted but Crowshade simply shook her head. âIâll rest next sunrise, I need to make sure Blossompawâs condition continues to be stableâ Crowshade said with a stubbornness that made Twigstrike drop it for the moment as he laid his head down and slowly closed his eyes. = â-T AWAY FROM THEM!â The sound of a shout forced Twigstrike to his paws which caused him to wince as he put pressure on his front left leg. He raised his eyes to be met with an unknown nicheling that was in front of Crowshade, who was standing in front of him and Blossompaw protectively. Blossompaw seemed just as dazed as he was, if not more. âWho are you?â Twigstrike asked with a hiss, he may be injured but he was supposed to be the leader and wanted to try and come across as such. âOh! Iâm Speckleheart, I was worried since you three donât seem to be the best of shapeâ The unknown nicheling spoke with a gesture of the paw towards all of them. âWell weâre fine thank youâ Twigstrike snapped making Speckleheart flinch as he realized these nichelings were very on edge. âIâm not trying to trick you or anything, promise! I just thought that maybe my clan could help you considering we have lots of herbs and foodâ Speckleheart offered with a smile as he hoped the three would accept his help. He knows that GoldenStar would be fine with it and as the deputy he was sure he could convince anyone with doubts. âPlease, that sounds like an ambush waiting to happenâ Blossompaw hissed as she rose to her paws despite Crowshadeâs warning glare. âWeâre not that rabill-brainedâ She continued as she puffed up her quills to look bigger. âItâs not! And what would my clan gain from killing a small group of nichelings who are already injured?â Speckleheart reasoned but the words made Twigstrikeâs expression sour. âWeâre not a âgroupâ weâre a clan!â Twigstrike replied making Speckleheart slowly gaze at each of the three nichelings while trying very hard to hide his doubt, how could three nichelings be a clan? But he bit his tongue as he didnât want to irritate them further. âWhat is your clanâs name?â Speckleheart asked with the hope of calming the group at least a little. âWildClanâ Twigstrike answered as he continued to watch the nicheling carefully. âWell WildClan, if you decide you donât like it you can leave but give it a chance please, your injuries look badâ Speckleheart pleaded as he looked at the three. Twigstrike looked at the other two, who stared back, as the three had a silent conversation before he turned his gaze back to Speckleheart. âFine, but if you try something we wonât be an easy fight I assure youâ Twigstrike declared the groupâs agreement making Speckleheart perk up as he realized they had actually agreed. âOh perfect! Follow meâ Speckleheart said as he turned around before starting to walk towards his clanâs camp while making sure to not go too fast for the injured nichelings.
CosmicChaos21
Crowshade hated the way every nicheling turned their heads towards the group as she and the other two emerged from the grasses. Most of their gazes were curious but one nicheling, a brown nicheling with darker brown spots, looked at them with disdain. âWho are these three?â A golden-furred nicheling with orange markings and a fluffy tail asked as she looked at Speckleheart, this nicheling spoke with a soft and gentle tone of voice. âTheyâre a clan named WildClan from what theyâve told meâ Speckleheart answered before quickly speaking up again. âTheyâre injured and I was wondering if they could stay at least until theyâre healedâ Speckleheart asked making Twigstrikeâs head snap towards him. He was under the assumption that his clan wouldâve been fine with it but why would he bring unknown nichelings to his clanâs camp if he wasnât entirely sure it would be accepted? âWell of course, the pink one looks like they can barely stand from that injuryâ The golden nicheling spoke as she looked at Blossompaw sympathetically making Blossompaw unsure how to feel. She wanted to come off as strong and capable which wasnât exactly easy when you have such a severe injury. But she tried as she straightened her posture as best she could. âI can stand fine honestlyâ Blossompaw said as gave the nicheling a grin that only seemed to amuse the nicheling. âWell still you three are more than welcome to stay until your injuries heal, welcome to WhisperClanâ The nicheling purred as she gave a gentle smile that almost made Crowshade want to drop her guard. Most of the clan looked fairly unbothered by this announcement but the brown one with darker spots openly scowled in the threeâs direction making Twigstrikeâs fur mildly bristle at the thought of the nicheling being near him and his clanmates while theyâre injured. âWhatâs your name?â Twigstrike asked with a twinge of suspicion as he noted that one nichelingâs reaction before turning his gaze back towards the golden nicheling. âOh how rude of me to not introduce myselfâ The nicheling said with a laugh. âMy name is GoldenStar, who would you three be?â The nicheling asked in return. âIâm Twigstrike, thatâs Crowshadeâ He said nodding towards her âand thatâs Blossompawâ he continued as he nodded towards Blossompaw who was trying to not show how much pain she was in at the moment, she had walked for a bit and her injury was still very fresh. âBlossompaw? But she looks like a fully grown warrior, not to mention you donât seem to have a leader in sightâ The brown nicheling with darker spots spoke making GoldenStar turn towards him with a stern glare. âSparrowtuftâ Her voice was still soft but it held an edge of warning. âYouâre more like a rogue group than a clanâ Sparrowtuft didnât seem to heed the warning as he sneered at the three causing all three of them to bristle. âSparrowtuft! Thatâs no way to treat visitorsâ GoldenStar hissed causing Sparrowtuftâs eyes to widen in shock before a sour expression settled on his face. âWhatever, just donât let them near the prey pile without watching them, they might be prey-stealersâ Sparrowtuft retorted before getting up and walking off. Blossompaw suddenly did not want to be here, sheâd take her chances with the bearyena thank you. âIâm sorry about him, heâs never been good at showing kindness to those outside the clan but he should at least know better than to act like that towards injured nichelingsâ GoldenStar said with some exhaustion seeping into her voice. Twigstrike simply nodded as he went to take a step before his front left leg reminded him of why he was holding it up. âOh right, Lightstream could you make sure these three get the necessary herbs?â GoldenStar asked as she looked over at a white nicheling with red eyes. âMaaaybe I have room for themâ Lightstream said with a grin but specified once she saw the wary expressions of Twigstrike and Crowshade. âIâm joking, follow me you threeâ She said as she rose to her paws before walking towards a den. Blossompaw was the first to start following because she may not trust that Sparrowtuft but Lightstream didnât seem malicious not to mention that at this point her injury was hurting so badly that she just wanted to rest. Crowshade followed next as while she only had minor injuries she wanted to keep an eye on Blossompaw to make sure this medicine nicheling didnât try something. Twigstrike hesitated but quickly caved as he realized thatâs where the other two were going and he didnât want to be alone with a bunch of unknown nichelings. It was quickly and easily decided that Lightstream would check over Blossompaw first due to the severity of her injury. Crowshade kept a very close eye on everything that Lightstream was doing, which mildly unnerved her if she was completely honest, just to make sure she wouldnât try anything. âWell at least it seems someone put something on the wound alreadyâ Lightstream commented as she finished putting the needed herbs on Blossompawâs injury. âI didâ Lightstream resisted the urge to flinch at Crowshadeâs blunt and mildly harsh tone as she instead turned towards Twigstrike. âYour turn now, give me your paw pleaseâ Lightstream said making Twigstrike hesitate before slowly giving her his paw. âThank youâ Lightstream said with a comforting smile that only mildly warded off Twigstrikeâs wariness. âSureâ He replied as to not be completely rude but Lightstream took no offense to it as she considered it from their perspective. Theyâre badly hurt, thereâs only three of them compared to a whole clan, they donât know any of these nichelings, and they have to rely on complete strangers to not harm them while theyâre recovering. âWhich of you are the leader of your clan?â Lightstream tried to make small talk as she applied an herb to Twigstrikeâs injury. âI am, I just havenât gotten the chance to get my livesâ Twigstrike answered with a mildly defensive tone which Lightstream picked up on. âIâm not judging youâ She was quick to reassure as she realized that mightâve come across as rude. âThatâs goodâ Twigstrike replied as he realized he might be coming off as hostile and heâd rather not anger the nichelings that are going to be near him and his clanmates while they sleep. Meanwhile Blossompaw couldnât stop herself from looking around the den that she was now resting in. It was different from the WildClan medicine den. Instead of being dug into the ground this one was above-ground, made of a mixture of woven grass, de-thorns vines, and mud that seems to keep it together making her idly wonder how it stays together when it rains. Then her gaze turned towards the herbs and her eyes shot open in shock. They were a huge mess of different herbs sitting in a massive pile without looking like there was any sense of organization. Sheâs pretty sure Mossbeetle would be caught dead before having such a disorganized mess considering his herbs were always sorted in meticulous piles that he constantly sorted when he wasnât treating a nicheling or gathering more herbs. The reminder of her uncle brought down her mood as it started to truly sink in that sheâd never have him lecture her for getting yet another thorn stuck in her paw or offer comfort in his own way by letting her hide from all the noise of the camp by allowing her to stay in the corner of the medicine den for a while. She drew her paws closer to herself as she blankly stared at the wall, being reminded that while this is a medicine den it isnât THE medicine den she grew up with and had fond memories attached to. It only caused her to feel more out of place here than she already felt. â-ssompaw?â A voice suddenly cut through her thoughts and she turned her head to the side to see a concerned Crowshade laying a tail-length away from her and she noticed that Lightstream was no longer in the den, had she zoned out that long? âYeah?â Blossompaw simply asked as she grinned to look more confident than she felt but Crowshade saw through it with ease. âAre youâŚalright?â Crowshade asked making Blossompawâs grin twitch but she firmly kept it in place as she huffed. âIâm fine! Just need a moment to get used to the new place thatâs allâ Blossompaw replied as she instead focused her gaze on a wall of the den which only made Crowshade doubt it more but she had a feeling Blossompaw wouldnât open up easily especially in a brand new place. âIf youâre sureâ Crowshade decided to drop it for now but she wasnât going to let it go either. Twigstrike overheard the entire conversation considering he was also kinda confined to the medicine den but he didnât comment as he didnât feel it was his place to do so. He focused on watching the entrance of the den instead to check for any signs of danger or hostility from these other nichelings. The next sunrise Twigstrike had, despite Lightstreams protests, left the medicine den to go talk to GoldenStar as his mind had conjured a question he felt he needed the answer to. âGoldenStar?â The leader turned towards Twigstrike upon hearing the nicheling speak. âYes? Are you supposed to be out of the medicine den?â GoldenStar asked as she glanced at his injured leg for a second before returning her gaze towards his face instead. âNoâ He answered her question easily before brushing past that in favor of asking the question that was bothering him. âDo you have a place you go to when you want to talk to StarClan?â Twigstrike asked making GoldenStar tilt her head. âYes, why?â She questioned back as she was curious about why heâd want to know. âIâm the leader but I havenât gotten a chance to get my lives yet because we canât currentlyâŚget to the spot our clan uses to contact themâ Twigstrike spoke carefully as he didnât want to come across as weak to anyone in this clan, he wouldnât want to make him or his clanmates easy targets, though it could be argued they already kind of are considering the injuries. GoldenStarâs expression turned to one of sympathy as she realized it must be more than just a fight with loners or rogues if they couldnât even contact StarClan. âIn that case I could show you where it is laterâ GoldenStar said as she easily agreed. âIs it possible you could show me now?â Twigstrike asked as he didnât really love the responsibility being leader would bring but he would rather have his lives as soon as he could to protect his clanmates from threats. He wasnât entirely sure he could trust these nichelings even if they seemed to be kind for the most part. GoldenStar was a bit surprised by his insistence but she didnât think he had malicious intent so she nodded. âFollow meâ She said making Twigstrike quickly follow after her, unaware that a nicheling from the clan saw it and scowled. = âHere it isâ GoldenStar said as she nodded towards a tidepool near the shore and Twigstrike couldnât stop a confused expression from appearing on his face. âA tidepool?â He asked as he stepped closer to it and looked into it. There was no special quality about it that he could see. âYes, just touch your nose to itâ GoldenStar explained but Twigstrike stared at her skeptically. âYouâre not gonna try to drown me or something right?â He asked making GoldenStar look at him horrified. âOf course not! Do you think so little of me and my clanmates?â GoldenStar asked and Twigstrike resisted the urge to nod as he continued to stare at her. ââŚNo Iâm justâŚbeing cautiousâ Twigstrike responded as he turned towards the tidepool though he kept his ears sharp for any movement from her. GoldenStar was a bit hurt but decides she canât blame him for trying to keep his clanmates safe so she tries to not take offense from it. = He touches his nose to the water and for a moment everything goes dark making panic surge through him before his vision returns and instead of the shore he finds himself standing on clouds with stars idly floating around. âTook a little longer than expected huh?â The familiar voice caused him to whip his head towards the sound and he couldnât stop his surprise from showing as he saw the face of his mentor, though his pelt was now speckled with stars. âDaisyfall!â Twigstrike said as he turned around and bounded toward his mentor until he was only a tail-length away from him. âIâd love to chat but youâre here for your lives Iâm guessing?â Daisyfall asked making Twigstrike slightly deflate as he realized he probably wouldnât have time for idle chit-chat but he nodded. âWell your first life will be for being aware of your clanmates ideas and feelingsâ Daisyfall spoke before touching noses with Twigstrike in a way that reminded him of the sunrise he got apprenticed to him as he felt something strong rush into his body in a way that made him feel as if a strong breeze tried to knock him over. Daisyfall stepped back with a smile before vanishing making Twigstrike feel bittersweet. The next nicheling made him freeze as he had to resist the urge to bare his teeth as he saw the figure of his father Firefang appear before him. âA life for keeping those you love closeâ Firefang spoke as he touched his snout to his kitâs forehead and Twigstrike had to grit his teeth at the almost buzzing feeling this life gave him before Firefang stepped back with a remorseful expression before vanishing. âIâm so proud of youâ The next nicheling made him smile as he saw the familiar brown pelt of his mother Robinbriar, her face was full of affection as she looked at her kit. âI give you a life for keeping those close to you safeâ She said as she rested her head on top of Twigstrikeâs long enough to give him his next life before stepping back with a smile. âI love you momâ Twigstrike whispered making Robinbriarâs smile turn slightly sad but didnât miss a beat. âI love you too my wonderful kitâ She purred before she vanished. The sound of pawsteps behind him startled him into turning around despite the fact he knew he was in StarClan at the moment and therefore safe. He froze as soon as he caught sight of the nicheling that was bounding toward him. âR-redpawâŚâ He whispered as he felt himself tear up at the sight of his sister. She had apparently not aged since she died as the tips of her ears only reached his snout so he had to look down to look her in the eyes. âDonât be sad, we get to see each other again!â Redpaw said with a beaming smile. âAnd Iâm not sick anymore!â She said and that caused Twigstrike to notice she hadnât sniffled or coughed once which made a ghost of a smile appear on his face. âThatâs greatâ He said honestly. âApparently we canât talk much though, so hereâs a life for persevering even through the worst pain and eventsâ Redpaw said as she tried to reach him before Twigstrike realized and put his head down so the two could touch noses before Redpaw stepped back. âWeâll see each other againâ Twigstrike said making Redpaw nod. âHopefully not soon thoughâ Redpaw said which made Twigstrikeâs heart clench painfully but he knew it was for the best, he needed to lead his clanmates especially at a time like this. The other four nichelings appeared along with many he didnât recognize especially the one that spoke. âYouâre aware of the burden youâll carry, that you will have to make the clan your priority correct?â A bright red nicheling with black stripes and a very fluffy tail spoke. âIâm aware, CanaryStar informed me of the leaderâs dutiesâ Twigstrike replied but he quickly piped up with a question. âWho are you though? I donât recognize youâ His question made the red nicheling pause and he wondered if they wouldnât answer in the usual cryptic StarClan fashion. âIâm SquirrelStar, the first leader of WildClanâ Twigstrike was pleasantly surprised to get an answer but he would not be complaining about it. âWith these lives and the promise to prioritize your clan you are now the official leader of WildClan, and with your role your new name TwigStarâ SquirrelStar announced making the other StarClan nichelings cheer his new name. Twigstrike- or TwigStar now he supposed, knew this was coming but getting his official name made the feeling of leadership rest a little heavier on his shoulders but he made a silent vow to keep WildClan alive and give them a better chance to thrive. = TwigStar flinched awake causing a few droplets of water to go flying. âHow did it go?â GoldenStar asked after seeing him âwake upâ from the visit to StarClan. âIâm officially the leader of WildClanâ GoldenStar smiled after hearing the news. âTwigStar now Iâm supposing?â She asked as she stood to her paws. TwigStar simply nodded. âWonderful, though we should probably go back so your clanmates donât worryâ GoldenStar said and TwigStar couldnât disagree so he got up and followed her back to camp.
CosmicChaos21
A quarter-moon had passed and the three WildClan nichelings were still heavily cautious and always had one nicheling stay up while the other two slept to ensure their safety despite GoldenStarâs many promises that they wouldnât be harmed. Mudpaw, the medicine nicheling apprentice as the clan had found out, had her ceremony to become a full medicine nicheling which the name Mudvine. Mudvine had been trying to become friends with Crowshade though it was debatable if that was making much of any progress due to Crowshade currently being fairly cold due to the whole situation WildClan was in at the moment. And Sparrowtuftâs sneering and mockery whenever his clanmates werenât looking was not making her feel any more welcome. âCanât you at least tell me your favorite type of prey?â Mudvine pleaded as Crowshade resisted the urge to hiss at the other nicheling giving yet another attempt at befriending her. âRabillâ She answered only because she hoped that Mudvine would leave her be. âOh thatâs cool! Mine is wormsâ Mudvine said causing Crowshadeâs face twist into a grimace. She so badly wanted to express her disgust at the idea of eating worms but she also did not want to risk angering the clan that was sheltering her and her clanmates at the moment so she bite her tongue and said nothing. Mudvine deflated as she didnât hear even a peep from the other nicheling. Was she really that unbearable to deal with that Crowshade wouldnât even give her a small conversation? A tiny twinge of guilt twisted in Crowshade as she watched Mudvineâs posture droop before standing up and walking off. But she didnât move from her spot as she continued to watch Mudvine until the other nicheling vanished from her sight before going back to idly staring at nothing. âI want to go homeâ Blossompawâs ear flicked as she spoke those words and neither of the other WildClan nichelings could disagree with the statement. âI know but weâre not exactly ready to launch ourselves into another fightâ TwigStar replied as he idly glanced around, most of the WhisperClan nichelings were out hunting or patrolling so he had gathered his clanmates to a secluded corner of the medicine den to talk. âAnd weâre stuck hereâ Crowshade grumbled as her paws dug into the ground below her to channel her frustration into something else. âYeah, and the only idea I have is one I really donât likeâ TwigStar sighed but Blossompaw perked up. âWell an idea is better than sitting around and doing nothing foreverâ She said as she looked over at TwigStar while Crowshade looked at him expectantly. âThe only idea I currently have is asking GoldenStar if she and her clan would be willing to help us fight the bearyenaâ TwigStar admitted and he could see the moment that both of the two realized why he didnât want to say anything about his idea. âThen weâd be in their debtâ Crowshade said as she realized that they would have to pay them back somehow. âHow? We donât exactly have much to offerâ Blossompaw piped up as she tried to figure out what they could even give in return. âThatâs kind of the issue, even if I did ask weâd be in their debt until we found something to give up the only thing we have isâŚâ TwigStarâs face soured as he had an idea. âIs?â Blossompaw prompted with a questioning stare. âTerritoryâ TwigStarâs words caused Crowshade to bristle. âNoâ She hissed. âWe might need itâ She continued with a low rumble of irritation at the thought.  âAnd thereâs a bunch of stuff to explore, I doubt weâve taken over the whole islandâ Blossompaw huffed completely agreeing with Crowshade especially on this matter. âBut if we asked weâd need to pay them back with something, waiting would be worse because they could hold it over usâ TwigStar said with mild annoyance, he didnât like it but he didnât want to be stuck in WhisperClanâs camp forever. âOnce weâre healed we could fight them off ourselves!â Blossompaw declared but TwigStar just shook his head. âThereâs more than two, I could smell them when I was leading that one away, thereâs three at leastâ TwigStar said making the two look at him and he realized he forgot to mention that. âSo weâd need more nichelings to help, believe me if I had a choice I wouldnât even suggest itâ He continued making Crowshade grimace while Blossompawâs snout scrunched in irritation but neither of them protested. âMaybe we could justâŚI donât know, hunt food for them and bring it to them as payment instead? Then we wouldnât have to give up our territory and help them in returnâ Blossompaw said. âI mean youâre an amazing hunter TwigStar and if we all work together surely itâll be enough for themâ She rambled a bit out of nerves as she noticed both nichelings were silent. âThatâs perfect!â TwigStarâs sudden exclamation startled Blossompaw into flinching making TwigStar wince before continuing. âThen we could repay our debt without having to worry about it being held over usâ He said as he nodded to himself at the idea. âIâll bring up the idea to GoldenStar laterâ TwigStar announced as he realized he may have a solution to their problem. âThe sooner we get home the betterâ Crowshade said with relief. âI canât wait to sleep in my own nest againâ Blossompaw said with a happy sigh at the thought. Blossompaw couldnât get a wink of sleep so she rose from her nest and carefully stepped outside the medicine den while ignoring the twinge of pain from her side, though thankfully it wasnât as bad as when she and her clanmates first arrived. Her head turned this way and that before slowly making her way to the edge of the clearing. âWhere are you going?â The sudden voice made Blossompawâs ears flatten against her head as her gaze landed on a sandy-furred nicheling with thin white stripes running along her pelt sitting next to the camp entrance. âI just wanted to look at the starsâ Blossompaw answered as she groomed the fur on her shoulder for a bit. âAnd why would you need to leave camp for that?â The nicheling asked questioning glance. âSo I donât wake anyone upâ Blossompaw said with some confusion, wasnât that obvious? âIâll come with you thanâ The other nicheling said as the confused tone led her to believe that Blossompawâs answer could be an excuse. âOkay?â Blossompaw wasnât thrilled at the idea considering this was an attempt to relax that was now being invaded by a nicheling she didnât know. She considered just going back but her legs were restless and the thought of laying down made her internally cringe. = She found a small clearing away from camp that showcased the sky like a prized possession. She slowly walked forward as her gaze was captured by the glittering lights that swam through the inky skies. Relaxing wasnât something she could completely do as she was reminded by the sound of pawsteps taking a step closer to her. âIâm sure youâve heard my name so whatâs yours?â Blossompaw asked as she turned her head towards the nicheling who flinched at the unexpected conversation before answering. âSandstripeâ The nicheling answered as she looked over to stare at Blossompaw with a curious gaze. âSorry if this is rude but you look like a fully grown warrior so why do you still have the paw in your name?â Sandstripe asked completely catching Blossompaw off guard. âOh! Uh that, itâs uh- my warrior ceremony was pushed back due to me not being exactly blessed with hunting skillsâ Blossompaw stumbled a bit before landing on an answer that wasnât entirely a lie. âThatâs unfortunate, Iâm sure youâll get it soonâ Sandstripe replied as she noticed it seemed like a bit of a sore spot for the other nicheling. âYeahâŚI sure hope so, I want to be a capable warriorâ Blossompaw said with a sigh as she returned her eyes to the stars. âI get thatâ Sandstripe said in complete agreement. âYou do?â Blossompawâs gaze was stolen from the stars once more as she turned towards the other nicheling with open curiosity. âYeah, I want to prove to my clan that Iâm worthy of getting the spot of deputy in the future, maybe even leaderâ Sandstripe said before shaking her head. âThe only thing holding me back is my fighting skillsâ She grumbled. âI mean theyâre fine, decent, but I want them to be the best they can be to prove Iâm worthyâ Sandstripe said with a deep breath that she soon let out while Blossompawâs eyes shined with an idea. âWe could train!â The sudden volume caused Sandstripeâs fur to bristle. âEr sorryâ Blossompaw apologized before quickly moving along. âYou said youâre not the best at fighting and Iâm not the best at hunting but Iâd say my fighting skills are my best ones, so maybe I could teach you better fighting moves and you could teach me how to hunt better! Maybe Iâd learn better from someone newâ She rambled in her explanation so it took Sandstripe a bit to catch everything but once she did her face lit up. âAnd we could both boost our weakest skills and prove weâre the best we can be!â Sandstripeâs voice raised a smidgen as her excitement increased at the idea of becoming a perfect warrior. âBut youâre injured and Iâm sure youâll return to your clanâs territory once you doâ Sandstripeâs excitement dampened at the realization. âWe could meet in secret to trainâ Blossompaw suggested with a casualness that Sandstripeâs mind froze at. âWhat if our clans view us as unloyal because weâre meeting with a nicheling of a different clan?â Sandstripeâs ears lowered and she broke eye contact as she spoke. âGoldenStar and Speckleheart donât seem like judgemental nichelings to me, and TwigStar would understand if I explained it to himâ Blossompaw couldnât see an issue with it and it made Sandstripe consider the idea. âIâŚguess youâre right, itâs for the good of our clansâ Sandstripe relented as she realized it couldnât hurt. âExactly!â Blossompaw said with a grin. The two sat in content silence for a while before Sandstripe noticed the sun was just beginning to rise. âMy post! I was supposed to guard the entrance: Sandstripe said with alarm as she shot to her paws. âOh right my clanmates might be a bit worried if Iâm not thereâ Blossompaw got to her paws at her own realization. âGuess we should get backâ She said causing the two to turn around and go where they needed to. Thankfully everyone was still sleeping so there was no uproar due to their absences.
CosmicChaos21
ANOTHER UPDATE! With some actual plot-moving stuff instead of just fluff. - The sunlight that would usually make TwigStar feel pleasantly warm felt uncomfortable as he made his way over to GoldenStar, who had just finished talking to Speckleheart. âGoldenStarâ He spoke to get her attention as he stopped a tail-length away from the fluffy nicheling. GoldenStar hummed in acknowledgement before turning her head to see the other leader. âYes?â She asked with a gentle smile. âI was wondering ifâŚâ TwigStar considered not asking but he knew his clan would never get home if he didnât so he pushed through. âI was wondering you and your clan would consider helping us chase out the bearyena that are lurking in our territoryâ GoldenStarâs eyes widened slightly and it was only then TwigStar realized he had never specified the reason WildClan fled from their home. âBearyena are the reason you three fled?â She asked as her face reflected sympathy making TwigStarâs face sour a bit before forcing himself to look neutral again. âUnfortunately we canât fight them off ourselves due to the numver of themâ TwigStar bit down his pride to instead be honest about the situation. âThereâs at least threeâ He added quickly as he wanted GoldenStar to know what her clan would be thrown into. âOf course we would repay you by-â TwigStar tried to continue to tell of Blossompawâs suggestion to pay off the debt but was stopped by GoldenStar interrupting. âWeâll helpâ GoldeStar answered without a shred of hesitation, being unable to just stand by as other nichelings got kicked from their own home. ââŚWell we were thinking we could pay you back by giving you prey for a few moonsâ TwigStar continued but GoldenStar shook her head. âThat wonât be needed, Iâm sure thatâd put strain on your own fresh-kill pileâ GoldenStar refused the idea but TwigStarâs face scrunched in mild annoyance. âWe canât just let such a kind deed go unpaidâ TwigStar insisted. âNot every deed needs to be given something in return, I insistâ GoldenStar said firmly making TwigStarâs tail flick as he tried to think of a way around it. âWell it feels unfair to you and your clanâ TwigStar continued and GoldenStar felt like this was going to be an unwinnable argument. âIf youâre going to insist on something then let be give you an ideaâ GoldenStar said and TwigStar stared as he waited for her next words. âEvery moon we could meet to discuss if any bad situations need help from outside the clan, so if we ever need your clanâs help youâll know about itâ GoldenStar suggested and TwigStar looked away as he considered it. Meeting with a different clan once a moon sounds like another responsibility. But he doesnât want him or his clanmates to be WhisperClanâs debt either. He raised his head and looked into the other leaderâs eyes. âIâll agree to those termsâ TwigStar said and GoldenStar bit back a laugh at the way he tried to sound so formal. âAlrightâ She said in response with a sense of relief that she had gotten him to agree to something that wouldnât put as much strain on his clan. âSoâŚwould you be willing to help us as soon as our injuries are healed enough?â TwigStar asked tentatively, not wanting to push and come across as forceful but he was restless to get back home. âSure, Iâll inform the clan next sunriseâ GoldenStar agreed at the realization that he was probably homesick and from the way his clanmates were acting they werenât thrilled to be in another clanâs camp either. TwigStarâs posture slumped in relief before he saw GoldenStarâs stare and returned himself to a more confident stance. âThank you for your helpâ TwigStar said before turning around and walking towards a small group consisting of Blossompaw and Sandstripe. Crowshade watched from the edge of the clearing as Blossompaw laughed with Sandstripe as they chatted. She felt her fur prickle like it was crawling with termites at how close the two had gotten in the short time WildClan had been here. She shifted the way she laid to turn away from the two at the other end of the clearing to instead stare into the tall grass that bordered the camp. It seems as if Blossompaw spent more time with Sandstripe with each passing sunrise and it made Crowshade nauseous and, if she was honest with herself, agitated. Blossompaw was her friend first and despite her rational mind telling her it isnât true her emotions were telling her she was being replaced. The thought made her feel as if she ate a large helping of bitter medicinal herbs with no water. âAre you alright?â The sudden noise caused Crowshade to jump to her feet with her quills standing on edge with a hiss on her tongue before noticing it wasnât a threat. Standing a tail-length away from her was Mudvine, who sported a concerned expression as she looked at her. âIâm fineâ Crowshade said as she forced her quills into a relaxed position once more and sat on her haunches. âAre you sure? You looked a bitâŚangryâ Mudvine considered if that was the right word but decided it was close enough. âI want to leave this campâ Crowshade half-lied, she did want to go home but that wasnât the reason she was bitter at the moment. âWell Iâm sure youâll be able to soonâ Mudvine said though she didnât entirely believe that was the whole reason. âCan IâŚask why you refuse to socialize with anyone other than your clanmates?â Mudvine tentatively spoke. âThereâs no pointâ Crowshade retorted while resisting the urge to glance over at Blossompaw and Sandstripe. âWhy?â Mudvine asked with some confusion. âWeâll leave soon and never meet againâ Crowshade plainly responded as she felt there was no point getting attached to nichelingâs sheâd never interact with again. âOhâŚâ Mudvine said as the realization struck her. Mudvine opened her mouth to ask another question but the annoyed glance Crowshade shot her made her shut it again and instead turn around to go back to the medicine den with a feeling of sadness at the complete failure to converse with Crowshade. Nichelings from WhisperClan and WildClan gathered into the clearing after Speckleheart had told the various nichelings news of a clan meeting. Many nichelings were bleary eyed because it was quite early but all of them situated themselves under the tall rock. âIâve called a clan meeting because me and TwigStar have made an agreementâ GoldenStarâs words caused many eyes to focus on the WildClan leader, though none made him more uncomfortable than the stares of his clanmates as the night had given him time to realize that he forgot to consult his clanmates about such a decision. He didnât dare look away from GoldenStar as a way to avoid their questions. âBearyena had driven them from their home-â TwigStar flinched, he hadnât allowed her to share that! What if these other nichelings thought they were weak now?! Blossompawâs ears lowered for a few moments before she forced herself to look more composed. TwigStar wouldnât allow others to know that info so freely. Crowshade didnât say anything but her flattened ears were answer enough to all the nichelings of the meeting. â-so weâve made a plan that WhisperClan will help them drive them off due to there being more than oneâ GoldenStar couldnât continue as a nicheling spoke up. âWeâre risking our lives for a bunch of strangers, who just showed up and apparently claimed to have been chased off by bearyena?â Sparrowtuft exclaimed in fury. âThis could be an ambush for all we know!â He spat as he heard that, what if his clanmates got hurt or killed because of these supposed clan nichelings? Blossompaw bristled the quickest and she verbally bit back before anyone could say anything. âWhat do you think we are, rogues?!â Blossompaw hissed only causing Sparrowtuft to bristle further. âMaybe! I mean what kinda clan has three nichelings!â Sparrowtuft took a step towards Blossompaw that she copied with her quills standing straight up as she bared her teeth at the other nicheling. âThatâs enoughâ GoldenStarâs voice retained its softness but held enough authority to stop the two from arguing. âYou two are acting like kitsâ GoldenStar said with a scolding tone that made Blossompaw look away while Sparrowtuft scowled but he respected GoldenStar enough to stay quiet. âI understand your concern for your clanmates but accusing WildClan of being rogues is unnecessaryâ GoldenStarâs words made Sparrowtuft lower his head. âSorry GoldenStarâ He mumbled out. âAs I was sayingâ GoldenStar took a deep breath before calmly continuing. âWeâve also agreed that every moon the two clans will meet to discuss any important news so that our clans have the opportunity to help each other if either clan is in dire need of helpâ Blossompaw openly stared at TwigStar in confusion while Crowshade kept her eyes on GoldenStar and refused to look over though anyone who knew her could tell she was annoyed. Whispers also rippled through the clan, Sparrowtuft was extremely agitated but wasnât rabill-brained enough to voice his protests. âWhen uh, when are we gonna help fight the bearyena GoldenStar?â The current only apprentice of the clan, Flamepaw, piped up with a bit of shakiness to his tone due to not wanting to be rude. GoldenStar gave the apprentice a gentle smile as she knew the young nicheling was respectful almost to a fault and wanted to ease his nerves a little. âOnce Blossompawâs injuries are fully healed, do you have any idea when that would be?â GoldenStar turned her question towards Lightstream and Mudvine. âSheâll be good to go in a few sunrisesâ Lightstream answered while Mudvine nodded her agreement to her mentorâs assessment. âPerfect, so a few sunrises thanâ Flamepaw just nodded at the leaderâs words. âSo everyone should get a lot of rest and food in preparation of the upcoming battleâ GoldenStar spoke with a commanding tone. âThatâs all, meeting dismissedâ GoldenStar said before jumping down from the rock as nichelings began to discuss the news while splitting into their own groups. âYou didnât think to talk to us about it first?â Crowshade said with agitation after the three had gone into a secluded area of the territory. âWell I couldnât just say âoh give me a little bit to ask my clanmatesâ when me and GoldenStar were talking could I?â TwigStar snipped back, just as annoyed. âYou probably couldâveâ Crowshade said as she knows by now that GoldenStar doesnât seem like the type to be annoyed easily. Blossompawâs eyes flicked back and forth between the two as they argued. âWell he probably just wanted to make sure we got to go home fasterâ Blossompaw reasoned making Crowshade turn towards her but she couldnât really keep a glare when she was looking at her so she sighed. âI guess but it wouldâve been better if we did what we plannedâ Crowshade relented a little. âI tried to offer that but she refused to accept it so I had to compromise because she was trying to insist they help us without any repaymentâ TwigStar said with a glance towards the side.ââŚI guess itâs fine thanâ Crowshade completely relented as she realized that did sound like something GoldenStar would do from what little she knew of her. âI wish I could be healed now so we can go home right now!â Blossompaw grumbled as she turned her head to look at the three long clawmarks along the left side of her torso. âWell as much as Iâd like to leave itâd be worse if you didnât heal completely and reopened the wound while weâre fightingâ TwigStar said as he too glanced at the scar before looking towards the tall grass. âI knowâ Blossompaw sighed in reluctant agreement though it did nothing to ease the antsy feeling in her chest.
