  1. I would love to join, as a Rainwing :3 She’d be around 7, and would be named Primrose
  2. I didn’t realize this was a year old, sorry!
  3. Now, this was suggested by someone but I don’t know how to link their post. It’s a seasonal island. I think it should be called, simply ‘Seasons’ For spring it could have an grassy island, for summer it could have a savannah, for fall it could be the jungle and for winter it could be mountains/snow. This would be treated like a hard island. And yes, I know- what’s the point? Why not just go to each of the other islands? Well, predators could move between biomes! Bearenya in the jungle, apes in the mountains balance bears in the grasslands and wildfires in the jungle. It would rain about 3/4 of the time it would in the normal grassland. I just think it would be pure mayhem!
  4. I agree, perhaps post this in feature suggestions? We already have the names of the islands in the starting menu, there’s no reason not to tell us which ones.
  5. This would be a new type of bird, similar to the bluebird. It would basically have most of the stats of the bluebird, but much less deadly. Now, I’m not very familiar with the blue bird mechanics, and how long you can leave your baby unattended but these would work the same, and I’ll refer to them as Jays. They wouldn’t be big enough to carry off your children, but if unattended they’d attack your children and perhaps to 2-3 in Damage? They would also attack teens who go near the tree, The jays would nest in trees, and the nest would be shown red on the sense maps. And, if all the suggestions for climbing tail go through your nichelings can reach it. Your flying and climbing nichelings could climb up, destroy the nest and kill the birds. The nest would give 5 food and 5 nesting material (or about) and each bird would give about 5 as well. Not sure how much the bluebird gives, but this would be a little less. The nest would be similar to the termite hill, but it would always be dangerous, striking out at the nicheling and making them bleed, but not dealing any real damage. Any nicheling that isn’t full grown that goes near the tree would be struck at, if there’s no adult nichelings there. This makes collecting acorns, and having oak safe havens much harder.
  6. Right now, the only dangers in the water are leeches and drowning. If you have a pair of water breathing characters, you’re set. Now, leeches can get annoying but they’re still not very dangerous. I suggest something like a shark, that will eat from the giant fish swarms and will leave the bigger fish right there, ready to collect. Basically the bearenya of the water, but you wouldn’t be able to sense it other than seeing.
  7. Balance bears, with like the bearenya snout would have the bears head, perhaps a new body type, and a claw that gives 3 attack similar to the bearenya one
  8. I think it would be great for story telling purposes, so that if a nicheling ascends to the rank of god or goddess while they’re still alive they can live forever. And you can always turn it off if you want a realistic battle.
  9. Sorry! I’m really bad at finding my way around
  10. Would it only be for Android? I can do it if it’s Apple
  11. Song, the singer of the ancient melodies. She had ears big enough to hear any distinct break in the harmony of the island. She would soothe and comfort lost wanderers, telling them stories of the homelands. It's said that her green eyes are like looking into the grasslands of home. Many nichelings fell in love, but ironically the love of her life was the only one who couldn't hear. He would ride the winds like a bird, too far away to ever hear her songs of longing. But she found her peace with Chime, a blind nicheling who was drawn to her songs. Song was one of the first born with this huge lifespan, and brought them to many islands- grasslands, savannah, jungle and the snows of the mountain. She survivved all of them, with her adaptable genes making her fit for everything. They would have concerts whenever she found a stump, and she was considered to be a type of mother to the whole tribe, as she sang all the little ones to sleep with the stories of the ancients. Anyone who broke the peace was punished severely. But Song had at least a few flaws- her webbed hind legs, her overprotectiveness of her home. But as she passed, she told them to keep searching and to always sing of home. Her descendents carry on the duty, keeping the legends of the ancients alive and keeping the tribe safe. (Sorry for writing an entire backstory! Basically- big ears, webbed hind legs, green eyes and is beautiful. You can take that any way you want.)
  12. I'll post pictures later, right now im at the beach :)
  13. Everyone wants to be leaders, no thanks! The most powerful I would want to be is healer
  14. I updated it to the little sickly nicheling
  15. I think feeding from the bottom is kinda underrated. It provides a whole new way of collecting food. But the only way to get it is through platypus beak, which is very different from most of the other genes. I think digging paw should have the same ability, digging up the little worms in the sand. I just feels know it goes against a lot of what niche has to offer, having only one gene to give you that ability
  16. Ah, I think the version was 1.2.3? I’m not sure, I think I’m in the latest version
  17. I did this for Seri, that’s Tata-ni and Lynx
  18. Hey, does anyone know why it’s 16+? And is it multiplayer?
  19. Ah, ok! Makes sense 👍 Niche is so great to tell stories through
  20. Is the chill swipe virus actually a thing? I’m not very familiar with the snow features. If so, is purring how you cure it? I don’t know much about the aggressive features of niche
  21. Ticks, like the leeches that can sometimes come and give your nichelings a disease. Being able to bury nichelings, and put a small mound over their grave (perhaps get some nesting material or something) Adding fallen logs to build your nest over More ways to add height to the game, and to be able to make nests under caves, or ect. (probably not going to happen, but an idea) If your female has a certain number of distasteful appearance traits (2-3) the rogue male won't mate with them. A post I've said before, and another idea- Lonely ladies, kidnappers of your babies. They could spawn as often as the rogue male, but maybe take half the spawn rates off of them so the island isn't overrun.

    Drowning bug

I think this is a bug? It's particularly a problem for my platypus beaked nichelings. I'll set them in shallow water overnight, to dig up some worms in the morning and they'd take drowning damage. I've made sure their heads can poke out of the water. Is this a game feature, or just a bug in my game? I'm sorry, I accidentally posted this on the wrong forum earlier.
