I do have a save file with all of them unlocked, I don't have a picture of it though. I will be able to send a picture later tonight, but i'm betting someone else will be able to do it before then.

Yea, I actually tried to open yours first before I posted but for some reason mine didn’t have all the genes. The same ones that I reported were missing on other save files too in fact.

I love most of it, but here's one thing I don't like. The subtle-ness of how you are explaining the immunity gene compatiability. I want to be able to clearly tell, so maybe like a symbol to the left side, like a small diamond colored these colors? Sorry but with subtle things I get confused and screw up a ton, so I would like it if we could do something like that. But if it's only the outline, I'd just like it to be clearly shown. Idk the way you were explaining it concerned me because I mix up stuff, but other than that great idea!

I understand how that the outlines can be too subtle, but I don’t think colored diamonds are the solution either. My problem with the diamonds is that they would take up too much space, especially with the gems and mini lifespan bars I added, for people that have more cramped family trees. The outlines work since they don’t take up too much space. I also tried to think of a less subtle solution but couldn’t come up with one (for now at least), but if you have another idea I’d love to hear it.

  3. Hi! I've just updated this to include a sex on the health bars mostly for role-playing purposes. The sex would only be helpful for breedable creatures like friendly bearyenas. There could be more sex exclusive stats like a mother bearyena feeding and protecting or a male rabbil following a female rabbil for her attention. I also wanted to note that wanderers and rouge males should have the same icons. Also also, there are actual internal stats for entities (at least bearyenas) according to this comment: https://strayfawnstudio.com/community/index.php?/topic/2435-bearyenas/&tab=comments#comment-9462 which is pretty cool and would be represented through the icons as well.

  4. That’s an interesting take on the idea! I always thought of heterochromia being a separate gene with three alleles: normal eye color, dominant heterochromia, and recessive heterochromia. Normal eye color would be the most dominant but the other two would only be found through wanderers and aren’t in the mutation menu. Dominant heterochromia differs from recessive heterochromia by having the dominant eye color on the right rather on the left (just to have different variants). I also talked about it here as well: https://strayfawnstudio.com/community/index.php?/topic/2444-advanced-eye-color/#comment-8834

I feel like a Sharkidile was already suggested...

Well, technically this is also a crocodile and shark mix: https://strayfawnstudio.com/community/index.php?/topic/2082-beach-bum-predator-crark/

But the two are very different.

Also here’s my feedback on the hybrid genes:

The snout seems really overpowered to me and I think a good way to balance it would to get rid of the defense stat. If you want to keep the defense stat, it could give +1 defense and get rid of the distasteful appearance.

The claw also seems overpowered as its current stats overpower the current claw gene. Maybe +2 fishing (maybe 3), +1 strength, and +1 swimming or +3 fishing and +1 swimming would work better.

I don’t have too much of a problem with the eyes, but if I were to provide alternative stats, I would lower underwater sight by 1. I would do this because then you could have normal eyes be +2 land sight and +1 underwater sight, sharkidile eyes be +1 land sight and +2 underwater sight, and short-sighted eyes be +1 land sight and +1 underwater sight.

The pattern is interesting but I think it would work better as a variant of the mask pattern like in this suggestion: https://strayfawnstudio.com/community/index.php?/topic/2223-new-pattern-ideas🐈/

    • Filtering / Family tree view

      • If I apply a filter I can't see anymore whether the filtered animal still lives or is only visible as a dead parent to a living animal. It would be nice to still make this distinction, for example by prefixing names of dead animals with an icon (skull? cross?).

      • I can only enter family tree view if I select an animal first, I reckon it's important enough to get a dedicated button and/or hotkey. You could even use the population counter as a button for this.

      • Family tree view doesn't allow you to see or filter bsaed on an animal's age / life expectancy. This can be useful to double-check whether you're about to lose important genes for your population.

      • After carefully selecting a suitable mate that has everything I want from the overview, it'd be great if that also meant that I have that animal selected and the camera focused on it when I leave the family tree view.

      • For bigger populations it can be helpful to have counters that tell me exactly how many living individuals have immunity A/B/C/etc.

      • Filtering based on Alpha / Beta / Omega ranks

      • Filtering based on statuses (bleeding / pregnant / has a leech etc etc)

      • For pregnant animals: who's the father again? It'd be nice to have a way to remind you without having them give birth.

    • "Regular" view

      • Action icons: Based on the animal selected, an action icon could include a counter. That way you know in one glance that you will get 2 food from the berry bush, or do 1 damage to the balance bear.

      • Old age models for the animals would be nice and helpful.

      • A "do nothing" action that excludes animals with remaining action points from the list you can TAB through for that day.

      • Notifications that include a "show" button would be more helpful if they also selected the animal in question.

      • An option to auto-discard notifications from previous days.

      • Group notifications where possible; I'd prefer one notification telling me about 4 deaths rather than 4 notifications with one death each. Same for births.

      • Once expanding grouped notifications, they could stand to be a bit more informative. Who died? And how?

      • As attached as I get, I still sometimes wonder who just died. It would be nice if the game could remind me.

      • The only way to easily tell outcast animals / strangers / rogues from tribe members is that they move with every action and their model can rotate, whereas tribe members always face you. Perhaps their presence deserves a notification whenever they appear within detection (eyes/nose/ears) range.

Hi, welcome to the forums! I’m just gonna give my feedback on your suggestions. I’ve color coded your original post like so:

Green - these suggestions already exist on this post/would work well and will be accommodated for in this post: https://strayfawnstudio.com/community/index.php?/topic/2541-family-tree-advancements/

Blue - these suggestions here: https://strayfawnstudio.com/community/index.php?/topic/2476-more-hotkeys/

    and here: https://strayfawnstudio.com/community/index.php?/topic/2560-one-of-your-creatures-died-who-and-by-what/

Yellow - only if it’s toggleable, I personally wouldn’t always want it that way

Orange - could you explain it in more detail? The way it’s currently described is either unclear or seems unnecessary (specifically the first one is unclear not in the concept itself but rather how it would work, the second one is already somewhat explained through a creature’s stats vs an entity’s stats, and the last one already exists depending on what you’re saying)

Red - I personally don’t think these would be good inclusions (I don’t think an old model would fit the game; and the do nothing action may seem harmless, but could lead to strategic uses that cause other entities to move when you don’t, and I think a “Skip Creature” button would work better)

    Unhighlighted - neutral/exists(?)

If anything I said is unclear, I’d happily explain in more detail, I just didn’t want it to be too long. Also remember that these are just my personal opinions and that maybe a bunch of people will disagree with me on this.

  8. Hi @MemoryTheNicheling! Welcome to the forums! This is the wrong bug forum. This is for Niche and ison Nimbatus. Don’t worry about it, it happens all the time. Anyways, console controls are not an actual part of the game and will not be fixed. It’s also always important to back up your save files just in case anything is game breaking. For the achievements, you can contact the devs to ask them to reset all achievements if you’d like. This is the only way, however.

Also why hasn't the voting poll thing been up yet XD

If you’re talking about the google poll like it was for the first community voting, there won’t be one this time. This forum is doing what that poll did.

  10. @FinallyFalling, I’m well aware of the issues with achievements, but I don’t know how much should disable them. The easy answer is to always disable them if you make your own starter creatures. The issue I have with this is that you can get lucky with having starting creatures that make the getting the achievement easier. So how close can you get to the achievement without it disabling achievements?

  11. I’m kinda confused as you can’t get home island immunity from anywhere but Adam, his family, or a resteted bloodline on story mode. I get the point that it’s super rare, just not the analogy for how rare.

Anyways, I think this concept would work best with the more sandbox options. It would be a toggleable option for those who don’t want to worry about sickness or immunity and would replace all immunity genes with the world wide immunity gene.

Also if it’s not like the way I proposed, I think it shouldn’t let you be immune to doubled up immunity making it more of a challenge to keep.

@Pokestardragacraft What about an option to show things on the little circles with the head and the name below it like:

    • Gems colors (all three of them) (helpful for when you organize your creatures by their gem colors)
    • Age (in days) (helpful when you need to see if there's any creatures who are about to die of old age)

Thanks for the suggestions @Skysplash8! I loved the ideas you gave, so I just updated the post to include your suggestions as well!
