What About A RADAR WITH CUSTOM TRACKERs

FreakyWaves

Post

I'm speaking of a block working like the altimeter BUT in circular

Would be 4*4 Or maybe a bit bigger, so it stays balanced it would have a maximum range of let's say around 200

And there will be with this litlle trackers that would have a tag (INFINITE POSSIBILITIEZZ) like the camera trackers  1*1 block activable or deactivable

And you would see on the sensor a bit like a radar but it'll be instantaneous but consumes like 20 to 50 energy /s by the number of trackers in range

BUT the trackers would be also accepted by the directional sensor

AND the radar Could also have a mode When it detects for enemies in range or terrain or both or anything

here's a little concept :

It feels like this is a very intelligent block, when compared to the simple outputs Nimbatus is characterized by.

The recurring tracker suggestion (as a directional sensor target)  paired with the recurring range detector suggestion (like an altimeter,  but using other sensor targets - like a tracker) would serve these needs, and be in character with the logic already present without requiring new and unusual behavior.

Are you saying that it would read contacts, assign them tags based on type, which would be passed to other sensors as dynamic criteria?

I'm gonna be honest, we have nothing like this running, and it's a little out of step with the simple logic solutions the game presents.  It's a good idea, but I'm not sure it's in character with Nimbatus.

Nope once the tracker with a certain tag is in the range the radar outputs the tag of the tracker

BUT A MOOORE exciting feature would be that the directional sensor could track the tagged trackers it would appear in the list as the tag of the tracker

So a “detector” block that detects other nearby “beacon” blocks, each with its own tag, and when the detector detects a  beacon inside it’s radius, it outputs that beacons tag. Am I understanding this correctly?

YEP THAT'S IT 👍

Drones in Nimbatus can be complex, but it's as an outcome of the interplay of very simple building blocks.  We do have simpler building blocks that can do all of this in our suggestions.
