you could have a mark I, II and III or so on but they get stronger and bigger with the mark but will draw a little more power the if the mark below it was covering the same space

We do need more than one type of shield, and maybe having a MK. I, II, and III is the way to implement it, but maybe it isn’t.

I think if we were to implement this, I'd rather see current shields adjustable with a balance between strength and coverage.

Wouldn’t larger shield be somewhat self-balancing? The larger the shield, the more it gets hit, the faster it drains, and when it goes down, a larger area of your drone is vulnerable.

the effects wouldn’t be to large, so there would still have to be some external balancing mechanics. (Maybe).

I think there should be some benefit to tuning coverage precisely, instead of just making every shield big enough to cover the furthest part.

maybe just the more size or strength it has the more power it uses
