  1. No, because living for three days without damage when you have 0 food is already a pretty powerful ability that may or may not even be broken, so I feel adding anything more to this tail would be going too far.
  2. omg really?! That's so cool! The other mutant I had was one with an unexplained scorpion tail. XD
  3. Yeah, just figured since it's been a while since I posted the first mutant thing and this just happened again, I should probably post another one? But Jojo, can you imagine a peacock-tailed bearyena? 8D
  4. Okay, so I took a look at the old "biome color variations" sketches, and I decided they needed an upgrade XD Again, this is just a suggestion! Grassland: Savannah: Swamp: Winter: Whale Island: Jungle: Other/Extra: Tropical: Red:
  5. I'm so happy right now XD Nuroku's mother had a swimming tail dominant and scorpion tail recessive, and she mated with a bearyena. Just imagine a bearyena with a glorious peacock tail lol
  6. I know it's super duper unlikely, but I had this thought so I'm going to share it: What if there was a playback feature that shows your progress from the starting couple all the way until now? Not a play by play, but like, for example: "Mela and Ronu made 5 babies, those 5 babies scattered throughout the island, one staying in the center while the other four went in each cardinal direction, and each of those five babies' families proceeded to evolve differently. Baby#1's family stayed exactly the same as Mela and Ronu. Baby#2's family up north evolved to be resistant to the cold and have white fur. Baby#3's family down south evolved to be resistant to heat and have yellow fur. Baby#4's family to the east evolved to fly and have beaks now. Baby#5's family to the west evolved stinky tails and toxic bodies." Or maybe just a fast forward version of the actual gameplay? Like super fast, to show the rapid progression from Mela and Ronu to their five very different descendant families? I know this is a long shot and very likely not possible, but it was a cool thought I had while playing, because I realized only a couple generations in that my babies have spread apart and started evolving separately thanks to the wanderers I've bred them with.
  7. I like this idea! Also maybe melanism?
  8. Clever, as in smart, because it's based off ants and is supposed to be a jack of all trades. Because ants are smart.
  9. My favorite kind of horns ❤️ I would love seeing this in the game!
  10. Oooh, neat!! It looks like a cross between a lobster and a spider! I love it!
  11. Thank you so much! And if I saw one of these on the Tiny Green I'd definitely quit and start a new game XD Like "NopenopenopenopenopeSOMUCHNOPE"
  12. That is exactly how I meant it, thank you! And yes I had fun drawing the "OMGLOOKITDATTHING" expressions~
  13. Thank you! You said it more eloquently than I could! XD
  14. Oh of course XD I wouldn't dream of putting the Spiture anywhere but the Killer Jungle.
  15. Okay, I reserve the right to edit this later with a picture or whatever, but right now I just had a super cool idea and I gotta get it out there! We could have an underwater predator that is like a trapdoor spider! Imagine the way the Moles behave in the game, but instead of disappearing when they see you, they grab you and attack!
  16. Well, when you have Armored Body and Big Body, you can be attacked but not take damage depending on the strength of your enemy. Thus it's not much of a stretch to say you'd get attacked and not receive damage. Furthermore, I see where you're coming from with the intimidation factor, but I hope you see where I'm coming from with the anti-damage factor. As it happens, when, for example, a snake in nature has its tail look like its head, it is a two-fold tactic: possibly scaring off predators, but more importantly, should the predator attack what it thinks is the snake's head, the snake could avoid serious damage, giving it a chance to twist around and bite its attacker. Such is the purpose of my Tricky Tail.
  17. Once upon a time, last year, I felt genuine spite for the Apes, so much so that I wanted a monster that could prey upon EVERYTHING... "One thing I can lament, though: I've wanted a spider-something predator, not to mate with, but to have as a big scary thing. I imagined two of the giant trees in the jungle about three hexagons apart, and in those three hexagons of space between the trees there connects a giant web. Trying to move through the space between the trees results in your nicheling getting stuck in the web. If it has a high strength, it can break itself free, but if not- I'll get to that in a second. Here's the thing: the giant spider monster wouldn't differentiate between nichelings and carnivores, so bearyenas and apes could get stuck in the web, too, and as far as I know none of them have strengths above 5 points. Thus, when the day is passed, the spider descends from the trees, getting closer and closer to whatever is stuck in the web. Once there, it will spin the web even further, making it impossible for even nichelings of 12 strength to break free, where it will then poison its prey and sit there, waiting for it to die. In the case of bearyenas and apes, as soon as the carnivore dies the meat it drops is picked up by the spider, so you don't get a chance to rush in and steal the kill. The spider wouldn't come down off the web because it'd be far too big, taking up a ring of six hexagons with its size. Thing is, I wanted it to be cute; something that, even though it's basically an even more unbeatable beast than the apes, more akin to a carnivorous plant in gameplay, you can almost kinda forgive. Like the real life spiders who wear water droplets as hats <3" Well, past me, I think I've done it. Based off of a Black Widow Spider and a Bearded Vulture, I give you: The Spiture. I figure flying nichelings will be the most at risk when it comes to this gargantuan foe, but I suppose really stupid wanderers [or if you willingly sacrifice your nichelings for some sick reason] could get stuck in the web on foot. I figure literally anything can get stuck in the web. I gotta admit, though, I don't really agree with past-me: I think there should be one day between the death of the captured and the Spiture eating it. Why? Because DO WHAT YOU WANT CUZ A PIRATE IS FREE; YOU ARE A PIRATE!!! -ahem- I mean, I think it would be beneficial if you could steal the food, especially if it's from an Ape. Way I see it, though, you would need a strength of, like, 10 to get it without getting caught in the web yourself. What if YOU get stuck? When it is the first day and you still look like the nicheling in the picture with her head and gems visible, you can be saved by another nicheling with at least a 5 in strength. If you are not saved, however, and you pass the day, you'll look like the big web ball in the picture, and will be considered dead. The good side to this? You can harvest food from the web balls, with a nicheling of at least 10 strength. Depending on what they used to be, you could get whatever meat amount you normally get from prey items and predators, and if it's a nicheling I figure giving 3 meat is generous, since normally you get nothing when a nicheling dies.
  18. Plus I'm all about cute things and I personally find this cuter than a beak
  19. Another repost from last year, this one is based off of leopard geckos, because I have a sibling who owns a yellow one, and I find their food storage interesting. If you run out of food, a nicheling with Blubber Tail can last three days without receiving damage from starving.
  20. If anyone wants to say "someone else already posted this" then let me assure you: This is a repost from last year's round of suggestions. It wasn't popular then and I doubt it'll be popular now, but I'm putting it here because why not. This sweet tail smells like berries and looks like a berry bush, in order to attract unsuspecting rabbils. I guess there could also be a healing plant version with the same attraction stat as peacock tail in order to bring wandering nichelings closer to you, but I'm too lazy to draw that right now.
  21. Tossing this in here because it came to my attention that we had similar ideas; yours has already been posted in my thread, so I'll drop mine here to make it even. Mine is a repost from a suggestion I made last year. Not telling you to get rid of yours, because ours are only vaguely connected, but still, it was suggested to me that I post mine here since yours was posted in mine.
