This is on a fictional island, Pyrene, where all the -wing types are on one island.

Characters:

Sting, HiveWing, male.(@Meron'nikeringu)

Prism, a hybrid sand silk wing who has a venomous barb like other sand wings and silk like other Silkwings, female, @FlowerMask

Scorpio, Male, SandWing @FlowerMask

 

Zest, a female Hivewing guard with one green eye and one orange eye, she is a hopeless romantic, @FlowerMask

Orchid, Female, RainWing @Meron'nikeringu

Sting wandered around. He was so busy staring at a small wasp that he bumped into a tree.

“Ow...” he muttered. “Stupid tree.”

Prism flew by the palace wall and unknowingly by Prince Scorpio’s window on her was to her apprenticeship as a medic. 
Scorpio saw her bright prismatic wings and blinked in surprise. A silk wing? He stands up and goes to the window and sees a confusing sight, a hybrid between a sand wing and silk wing. Hmm I think I heard about her before

He continued walking, now staring at the ground. He brushed away a fly and started to run.
