  1. If you have played the legend of Zelda, you probably know about the multiple races in the kingdom of Hyrule. The water dwelling zora, the strong and rocky gorons, the rito that soar the skies, the woman of the gerudo tribe, the ninja like sheikah and the normal hylians. In this challenge, the goal is to make a nicheling tribe with families that represent these races. At least you need a group that represents the hylians, one for the gorons, one for the zora and one for the rito. The gerudo and sheikah are optional. Requirements: Hylians: The easiest to make, just average looking nichelings, nothing special. Brown or beige fur is preferred. Gorons: Two options, this faction can consist of bearyena nichelings with big body or armor body, or nichelings with all prehistoric genes except for wings, and saber snout, digging trunk, and mega horns are not mandatory. Dark brown fur is preferred. Zora: Water dwelling nichelings. Water body, gills or platypus beak, and beaver tail or tailfin are mandatory, but you can give them even more water genes in you want. White fur is preferred. Rito: Wings and bird beak or platypus beak are the only mandatory genes for them. Gerudo: This one is harder because this faction can only have one male, while all others are female. They require lean body and big ears to distinguish them from the hylians. Yellow fur is preferred. Sheikah: Like the hylians, but they require black or grey fur, lean body and at least one velvet paw. Each faction needs a distinct color to distinguish between them, if you complete this challenge, please post a screenshot here!
  2. This reminds me of the cookie tribe of Seri pixel biologist, of course they never died, but Seri gave up on them before they could try to adapt.
  3. I know that jungle trees can spawn apes, but how does this work? Do they have a chance of spawning randomly depending on the number of trees, or can you force one to spawn by shaking the tree or some other way? The next questions are more about ape lore, so, (sorry for so many questions) 1- why do they spawn from trees? They seem too big to climb them. Do they raise their young there? 2- What is the history of these three subspecies that seem to coexist in harmony? 3- What is their personality, are they just aggressive brutes or are they sensible creatures who just try to defend their home from invaders? 4- why are apes the only fauna in pure jungle islands? What happened to other animals? Finally, why do apes only attack nichelings and not any other animal? In islands that are a mix of grassland and jungle, apes ignore every animal except for the nichelings.
  4. Wow, I did not think there could be snails, this could lead to a new snail eating predator
  5. Well, in sandbox mode you can create your own stories, but not as built up as the ones you say.
  6. I personally prefer bats, especially flying foxes. They can have such diverse roles in their ecosystems!
  7. The stagmole is a mole with antlers, its like convergent evolution, and im sure the bluebird is not part parrot
  8. The babies of the rogue female dont join your tribe, they join the pygmy tribe unless you invite them while they are babies. They can become a problem if you are at war with the pygmys because if the female breeds with one of your strongest ones the baby could absolutely destroy you.
  9. With subspecies you mean something like the pygmy nichelings?
  10. I like this idea except for the breeding with your nichelings part, the bearyena already does that
  11. Actually most animals are not combinations, they are just modified versions of the original, like the three apes, the stagmoles and ramfoxes, the goldleech, the razorhana, fish swarms, bug swarms, bluebirds, dodomingos(the name is a combination but not the animal) and maybe balance bears but im not sure about that one. All those are not combinations
  12. The smartest moles I have seen, the crabbit with the ultimate defence and the water walking nicheling will probably be considered a god
  13. Not all are combinations, there are fish swarms, and there are some creatures which are more like alterations like the goldleech, razorhana and others
  14. This could also come with the option to change existing creatures, like increasing the speed, damage and lifespan of balance bears an changing their primary colors and the islands where they live, and you could apply those changes to a specific save file
  15. The naked ram rat is like a naked mole rat with ram horns, it overtakes mole holes and builds its home around them. A pregnant queen has a chance of spawning on the port tiles of any island with moles, she is the size of a dodomingo, and looks like a naked mole rat queen, with a long body and golden ram horns. She will move every time a nicheling moves and has very bad senses, making her an easy meal, ans she gives 15 food, so its very useful. After she finds the mole burrow, she will get rid of the mole and enter it, staying underground and changing the appearance of the burrow. During the night, she will have babies, that will make their own burrows in a radius of 6 tiles from the queen's and overtake other mole burrows in the area. Males have red horns and females have blue horns, they give 5 food and they are both shorter than the queen. They take one day to grow and will start digging the day after, and there can be 6 burrows in the radius aside from the queen's. The males behave like moles, they stay in their burrows after they dig them, but they will alert any other ram rat in a 2 tile radius if they notice you. They will sometimes go out and behave like bunnies, but they will deal 2 damage if you can not kill them in one blow. Females are easier to hunt, but if the population around the queen is too big or the queen dies, they will leave and search for a mole burrow or a hole that a nicheling dug up and turn into a queen, establishing a new colony. The queen will come out every 3 days, so you can try to hunt her. They can become your most valuable food source, but they could also be a problem if they are too close to your berries or nuts, so you can control the population and farm them, making sure their burrows are in good places, or you could get rid of them, if you kill the queen and all females and queens they will be unable to brred and eventually go extinct on the island.
  16. Pygmy nichelings are like wandering nichelings with mostly black fur and cat eyes, but their main difference is that adults are the size of a big bodied teenage nicheling. They behave like wanderers, but their speed is increased by 2 points and their strength is decreased by 1. They have a chance of spawning in port tiles as a family on any island but they can be toggled on and off, and they will breed with each other and are capable of building nests to have their babies, but you can steal those nests if you want. They compete with you for food and are behave a lot like adam's family on home island, but a bit more fierce, as they will try to attack your babies even if you have not attacked them. Their default appearance is black, with pygmy body which looks like normal body but small, antlers and sometimes no horns, long snout, normal hind legs, medium or swimming tail and double runner legs or double velvet paws, but they can have any paw except wings, bearyena paw, or mammoth foot. Their appearance can vary a bit depending on the island, but they always have cat eyes. There are benefits to them, for example, you can make them extinct on an island if you kill the entire population, also, predators treat them like normal nichelings, so they can be a great distraction. Also, because they are a subspecies, you can breed with them. they are really attached to their family, so to get one in your pack you can only invite a baby in the nest, the baby will join your pack and you could control it, by breeding with it, you could get these Exclusive genes: Cat eyes: + 3 eyesight Pygmy body: All the benefits of normal body but with 2 speed and 0 strength black fur P immunity: An exclusive immunity( maybe lets you invite adult pygmys into the pack but likely not) Finally, there could possibly be a rare variation of these that acts like a rogue female, it breeds with your males and the baby joins their pack, this not only means that you could have a hybrid between the two subspecies against you, but it could also create some awesome stories of forbidden love and also traitors (one step closer to warrior cats)
  17. Thanks! I plan to do an ape story next, or maybe bearyena
  18. I did not notice that! You should make a topic about that, but maybe the python eventually was replaced by the carnivore plants
