The whale island shows up randomly ^^ On some islands, the whale island is the right/east exit port

Predators are actually less interested in you when you have distasteful apperance (But sometimes they are so hungry, they attack you anyways.) I think that it would indeed be an option to make Rogue Males less interested in distasteful looking females as well.

Thanks for reporting! Yes, this is intentional The idea is that wings are an ancient gene. The gene went exstinct (with the exception of animals on Whale Island, where wings are quite common). Sometimes Nichelings fly away from Whale Island, so you have a very low chance of meeting a wanderer with wings ^^

@Deathpelt What if the closest possible tile is quite some fields away, right next to a Bearyena xD?

@Espeon Yeah, making the wings as a body would have been an option too. But if the creature then also had front paws, wings would have been way to good compared to the other bodies. Yes, whale island can be found in story mode

It's getting very hard to place all the bodyparts so that they don't clip with each other ^^' Especially at all ages. I'll see if I can move it around a bit

This is actually intentional ^^ Wings are counted as an ancient gene. The ideas was that these flying Nichelings lived a long time ago. They went exstinct and only managed to keep living on Whale island. Some of the Whale Island Nichelings flew away from their home to other islands, so you have a very small chance of encoutering a wild one outside of Whale Island

I think this is an interesting approach to show adaption I'm not sure this would fit into the existing game mechanics though. But maybe we could have unlock requirements for let's say Bug Body that require "X babies need to be born in the snow biome".
