Yeah, what we currently have is the feature to flip groups of part vertically and horizontally by pressing F or G. But a Mirror mode would also be nice

Thrust vectors for thruster groupings in the editor.
Micha replied to Lurkily's post in Feature Requests
Yeah multiple selection would be a good idea. The disadvantage of using the assigned keys to trigger the display is that is wont work with tags. Another way could be that the vectors of all thrusters are shown at once when you select any of the thrusters. This could also be used when selecting an energy shield to display the radi to prevent overlapping. -
Thrust vectors for thruster groupings in the editor.
Micha replied to Lurkily's post in Feature Requests
@Lurkily Would you like to see the thrust vectors while playing the game or just in the editor as helpful data? If it's just in the editor we could display them whenever you have a thruster selected so it can help you place them where you like. -
I also think the idea to replicate all parts that are attached to a special part makes the most sense and should be relatively easy to add as it does not require editor changes I think it's a greet idea that opens up alot of cool possibilities.

Nice mechanic When I think of an enemy with a light I always think of something like this: Maybe it's a pretty dark planet and you can only see some lights from the distance.

Good Idea. I'd love to see some upgrades for the Nimbatus in the future

I like the Spiture

You can't use the X-axis for positioning, as it does not stay horizontal when you fly around the planet. To get a specific position you would need the height from an altimeter and the angle where you are located. (0° = on top of the planet, 180° = on the other side of it) But it's a good idea to have the tools to do absolute positioning of your drones

Can you please explain a bit more how those parts work exactly? What does a randomizer do? What are the inputs / outputs? And what exactly does a pulse extender do?

When we start early access on steam we will keep the saves backwards compatible. But during the alpha we cannot guarantee this. The alpha is to test out things and allows us to rebuild some fundamentals or test experimental features. If you want a stable game you'll have to wait for the release

Currently it needs alot of parts to build a thruster that rotates to a specific direction. You need a (big) directional sensor, a motorized hinge and a thruster. I think having a small thruster that automatically aligns itself to a direction (same as directional sensor) could make alot of sense for smaller crafts.

Looks dangerous

We now have decouplers and camera tracker parts that allow you to build smaller drones you can control by yourself. The only thing missing is the switch of the user controls. This could be done by having a logic splitter that can be activated and deactivated together with the camera tracker.

Flamethrowers were added for the closed alpha
-
This was added for the closed Alpha. The distance sensor now has an option to detect the own drone parts.
-
I merged those two topics together
-
You can do this already by dropping of TNT blocks using decouplers Or use the grenade weapons in the alpha.
-
I also merged it together with the Altitude Sensor Topic. @everyone please make sure you read the other suggestions and upvote them before posting new ones

I merged the height sensor and altimeter to one topic, as they are the same idea.
