(gore warning)

A memory flash. Sharp's eyes flashed blue. A strange creature, which he recognized as a balance bear from his previous memory. The balance bear charged at him, impaling him with its claws. Blood stained both Sharp's fur. Sharp screeched in pain. There was another scream, and Sharp looked over to see a pink female nicheling with white spots, a purr snout, antlers, and heat body. Two little nichelings with purr snouts and antlers just like her were behind her, looking frightened and crying. 

"Daddy!" One of the little nichelings cried. Before everything went black, and the memory was gone. 

 

Sharp stood there in shock, breathing quickly. The tense aura of the memory was still surrounding him. The word pain repeated in his head.

Thief glanced over. The mumbling suddenly gave way to an angry yelling. But it wasn't crystal yelling, was it? He was somewhere else. 

The yellow and black nicheling was beside him again. He was much clearer than in the previous memories, Thief saw that they were about the same age in the memory. The nicheling had antlers, heat body, and a peacock tail, and he wore a large grin in his face. Thief felt himself smiling right back. They were running and laughing, while someone was yelling at them from behind. Thief turned around and saw an old nicheling, she looked like someone had tripped her, and the berries she was carrying were spilled everywhere. 'You nuisances!' she screamed after them. 'I don't even know why your mother puts up with you two!' Thief and the other nicheling just laughed, and kept running. Thief nudged the nicheling, and then they started playfighting, the sun shining brightly in the sky. The memory slowly faded. Thief felt alone again. As he got back to his senses, he realised: I have a brother. Had. That nicheling said how did our mother put up with us, that means we shared a mother!

His spirits fell again when he remembered what happened when the gray nicheling broke his paw. His brother had turned away. Left him. The dark nicheling that Thief had killed must have been important to his brother. More important than Thief had been. His mind was spinning.

Sharp began to panic and didn't know what to do. He was getting overwhelmed. He curled up and covered his eyes and tried to get the memory out of his head, but it was all he could think about.

The spirit looked at the scene with much fear. Her gaze came back to Crystal “Wait” she thought “The words she muttered, why did I say anything??” She had realized that by asking herself what knowing the past was like, Crystal had wanted to try and help. That seemed to go bad…

 

She turned to Sharp, the screaming piercing her ears. “Hey hey, calm down. She’s gonna be ok” the words were the first comforting thing she can think of. In reality, she had absolutely no idea what was going on.

Sharp's breathing speed went back to normal, but he still looked stressed and didn't know what to do.

The spirit didn't understand all the words. The tone was comforting, though. They threw a distressed glance at the glowing one.

They began to calm as they noticed less of a tense-ness in the air and they listened to the voice they recognized. Even if they didn't quite know the words, something about the voice was comforting in-of itself. They still didn't want to go anywhere that glowing one, "Blue," they said with fear.

"Yes blue, a color." Nervous was confused, why was this spirit afraid of blue? Blue us the only thing that links me to life. It is the only color I can remember, it is flashed in my eyes, and in this spirit's. It is also the color of Crystal's glow... Then it hit them, maybe the new one associated blue with Crystal and the memory that other had triggered, the memory that had made the new spirit scream in agony, that had made their eyes disappear. How could they explain that though Crystal had caused the scary pictures in the other's mind, they weren't responsible for them? "The blue one mean no harm. No danger. You see, but not there. Past."

Glancing over, they saw Crystal had vanished. A bit alarmed, they asked the group from afar, "What...action...uh, occurred? Where is Crystal?"

He noticed that the spirit that had been talking to Crystal seemed to want to get back to the swamp. 'You think that if we start walking, the spirit will follow?' he asked the Nervous Brother about the new one. Thief was already getting anxious again, there were so many new people here. At least he could chalk up the nervousness to the fact that the last time he had been around a big group when he was alive, they had hurt him. He wanted to get everyone back to the swamp as soon as possible.

The scarred nicheling was still bewildered about crystal. Her eyes were wide and the smoke scar bubbled with curiosity and amazement. The striped spirit facepalmed.
