So, we have seasons on snow mountains. Why shouldn't we have other islands with seasons? I present to you... The Seasons Island! Also, people who have had this idea before me, sorry for stealing it! I didn't find a topic about this. So this island has seasons that effect the ammount of food and the colour of grass, etc... Summer: Plants are green Grass regrows fast It's warm. Creatures get hot easily Rain is normal Prey is common Medium ammount of berries Nuts are raw so they're rare unless you have a creature in a tree Fall: Plants turn yellow, orange and red Grass regrows normal speed It's -1 cold Rains a lot Not as much prey A lot of berries A lot of nuts Winter: Plants lose their leaves and get snow on them Grass regrows really slow Weather is cold It snows every few days Prey is uncommon and rabbils are hard to spot Berries regrow slow Some nuts Spring: Plats are light green. Ground is covered with flowers Grass regrows fast Weather is a bit warm but creatures don't get hot easily Rain is normal Prey is very common and baby bearyenas are very common Some berries Almost no nuts2 points

I really understand your point and you are kind of right, but you would anyways need bearyena snout to call for them. And it's also rare to find the friendly bearyena anyways. But I also understand your opinion that it would be too easy.2 points

As I can't compete or post much for the next two weeks, have this trainwreck. Who is this, you may ask? X, first child of Adam. Is he qualified? Did he inherit good genes? Nope. You probably won't remember him in ten minutes. And only 3 days later, we have a match. Who is this? The first random wanderer. All after the first encounter are killed. By sudden and unforeseen aging, of course. Everything else wouldn't be undeniable cheating. Though I do feel bad for leaving her behind, all alone. Rarely got water breathing before the archipelago.2 points

I haven't drawn anything super recently because I am waiting for a new tablet and sort of have creative block but these are some of my old ones These two are from when I first heard about the possibility of having wings in the game, they are probably one of my older Niche art Some of my gods, the last one showed all at the time, but I have some more as of then Sandrunner the protagonist to a Niche story that actually happened in game but I never finished writing, also one of my fav drawings of Niche I ever did This was one of my first digital Niche pieces And fanart for the awesome JessiMew You can expect a flood of images once I have my new tablet around christmas1 point

Let's have a nicheling beauty contest! How this works: You submit your nicheling to the current round you must include the nicheling's name you can add a bit of backstory if you want to Who ever gets the most poll votes, get's crowned as miss niche of the month Rules: You can only submit one male and one female per round Don't submit nichelings made with the console or sandbox editor Please don't vote for your own nicheling! (unless it really is the prettiest one) Be sure to submit your nichelings for the next round here Dragontear won November 2018 Sira and Spliti won December 2018 Razulia and Kinarri won January 2019 Nukir the infertile Cactus won February 2019 (female winner still unclear) Ashflower won March 2019 (male winner still unclear)1 point

Outside of the competition and breaking every rule on the way to the deadly hills. Though I didn't use the console there, 100 food is a lot to start with. It wasn't the normal challenge either, but one with all genes unlocked and a random generator. Survival would have been impossible without the ancient horns and the scorpion tail during expansion. It's a small challenge depending on a lot of luck, but really fun.1 point

Those recessive bearyena hindlegs are slowly becoming an issue. I'm just glad the lean body helps balance things out, somewhat. My new berry bush! Thief! Oh, well. This time we are strong enough for attack. Not a victory, but some serious damage will suffice. Some of the old generation will have to make a sacrifice. Even if it tears families appart. It was worth it.1 point

I can't smell him anywhere. So it's save by the nest again, I guess. The constant influx of normal bearyenas is a good food source. Yeah, that's bad. But we have found a very old wanderer to lead danger away. Seems to have worked. The first children with proper horns are born again. And promising wanderers found. Though it seems the albino won't be breeding material. He rolled some bad stats for mutation.1 point

Noooo don't leave me, you angry porcupine! YES! The Polyjuice survived! Time for our tricky escape... Can't the guy see that everyone here is already pregnant? At least I have come to a point where rogues have awful genetics. I murdered our newest big, burly intruder for food. Found this guy. Since I officially have a paw, I am allowed to breed with him. Also found a digger. But I don't have a snout yet1 point

Hehe. A crabbit and another baby with recessive cracker jaw. Nuts, you are mine ! >:) The mighty Nut has slain a bunnil! Allright, that sounded less epic than I thought. The newest baby only got bad stuff I had my fighters return, but the enemy is stronger than imagined. They're bearyena food now, I guess. The hunters become the hunted once again.1 point

Gen. 2, day 13+ Spot + Weasel, 8 Creatures, 90 food. Mutations: Yellow fur, Mossbrown fur, Cracker jaw, Scorpion tail I think I'll have to move. The other side of the island looks nice. No getting away unscathed, I see. Spot, of all victims? I better find a nest, fast. Jana and the new guy will kill it. And the meat was stolen again. Great.1 point

I hope staying on the shore placates the apes. I never knew there were so many shells in the jungle. Interesting. Oh, no. It's one of these ports That's just not right. Kirvan is best suited for the jungle, with his spots and somewhat black fur. He should be able to feed himself along the shores and smell danger. I guess Adan's all alone, now. The yellow one didn't have good traits anyway, and the red one was sick. So these two got a small improvement, overall.1 point

So far Fruitseeker and Cloudmask are in the lead. ...By a very small amount, but they're in the lead regardless.1 point

Personally, I'd like to see an arctic fox hybrid. ^ ^ But I can't really think of genes they could add. Ah well, it's a nice thought.1 point

I feel like rain should be the most common in the summer and not fall. I guess it depends on where you're from, but I'm used to having tons and tons of thunderstorms in the summer, while it might drizzle a bit in the fall with the very rare chance of snow towards late fall. Deerest readers Last week our team travelled to San Francisco to exhibit Nimbatus at the Game Developers conference. ---> @Markus, @Philo and @Roger at the Nimbatus booth. We were super proud because Nimbatus won a "Best in Play" award and Roger managed to win the "GDC Pitch", where he had to present the game to a jury of game publishers. Nice job Roger! *pat on the back* Philo gave a talk about community-based game development. On our free day, we walked across the Golden Gate bridge with friends We also visited Japan town and bought LOTS of manga and art books (about 10kg in total). And there even was a rainbooooow! It was a great week! We met lots of new people and old friends and can't wait to go again next year1 point
