  1. Thanks for reporting. I'll play around with the directional sensor and the camera trackets to see if I can find the cause of the problem.
  2. Interesting approach to scale down the sub parts. However I'm not sure how the physics engine will react whens scaling down the parts. But there is only one way to find out
  3. Oh no! @Floppy Blogart it captures the last 6 seconds. So you need to press the button after the cool thing happens.
  4. Yes we will add wheels and other parts for better ground movement during early access
  5. I'm not quite sure if I understand your suggestion correctly. Can you explain what you mean by extended circle size? You can already build large drones by attaching parts to each other and therefore extending the area where you can build.
  6. Yes it should be fixed by not allowing you to click those buttons while dragging a part.
  7. I like the idea of a directional speed sensor. Also check out this idea on how to provide more custom outputs from one sensor here: Would also work good with your suggestion.
  8. Thanks for the report It's great that you attached the savefile and pointed me to the right planet. I'll load it up and try to reproduce the bug!
  9. Yep some more control over the hinge is no bad idea. We will look at the laser split. Seems more like a bug to me
  10. Ah I missed to fix that one. Will work with the next update
  11. Thanks for reporting! We work on a fix and try to make the snake a bit cleverer in the progress
  12. Upvoted We neglected the meele weapons a bit since the demo. You have some great ideas to improve them. I especially like the idea of having weapons that apply some kind of knockback or interact with the physics more. Plasma spikes that heats up enemies and lets them burn also sounds fun.

    Replicator

Well you can already build huge drones that eat your CPU alive. We don't add arbitrary limits to save performance, the limit should be your computer. We'll maybe show a warning in the editor if we detect too many parts. The part limit for the replicator has more a gamplay reason. If you could just replicate the whole drone without any cost or cooldown you are basically invincible

    Replicator

I think it could be very fun. But it needs a cooldown or have some other cost when using it, so you cant just spam out new drones And I agree with @Lurkily a part limit also makes sense. Or else you just use this mechanic as a respawn point for your large drones.
  15. I like the idea to add more custom outputs to a sensor when you need them
  16. Yep pairing the blocks to the directional sensors would make sense. Otherwise it will just target the nearest one.
  17. We're interested in analog logic and open to try out different things to improve the current system. But keep in mind it's not something that's implemented quickly and we need a solid concept first We just did not have time yet to delve into this. I would prefer if the logic / sensor parts work in the same way than the rest of the parts. So new players understand quickly how they work, and can even test it by pressing some keys. Therefore just adding analog inputs / outputs to a subset of existing parts is not the right solution in my opinion as it adds a layer of complexity and makes the logic system less accessible. The transition between building self controlled drones and building autonomous drones should be as smooth as possible. I have not yet found a solution that allows full complexity and is easy to understand for everyone. So I'm happy for all your feedback and ideas regarding this.
  18. I've added number inputs next to the sliders for integers and float values in the 0.3.2 closed alpha build. Please test them and post your feedback here
  19. We've added a Camera tracker part to 0.3.2 closed alpha. Please post your feedback here
  20. We've added a Buffer logic part to 0.3.2 closed alpha.
  21. Dear crew We just released the update 0.3.2 for the closed alpha on Steam. We constantly look at the suggested features and drone parts with the most votes and add them to the game if we like them and if they don't get in the way of the bigger features we work on So please keep posting your ideas and upvote the suggestions an drone parts you like most! Engine Upgrade We have upgraded our engine. Please report if you have any crashes or new performance problems or any other issue that did not happen with the previous version. New Features Added Buffer logic part ( Link ) Added Camera Tracker part ( Link ) Added numerical input fields to the drone part configuration ( Link ) Improvements Reduced Boombug explosion force Added new shaders for lasers Shootforce Downgrade 2 is now correctly -100% instead of -40% Fixes Fixed Sumo Matchmaking if Steam is not running Fixed popping of terrain and objects Fixed unintentional import of sumo opponent weapons Fixed Tags when using them as input for Not / If or Switch gates If you encounter any problems please report them in Bugs Thank you! Cheers, Stray Fawn Studio
  22. Ah you mean to use the tag system to improve the logic by dynamically adding parameters at the end of an evemt which then can be analyzed by the input nodes. I'm not quite sure if I like this (assuming I understood it correctly) But its an interesting idea for sure.
  23. One way to implement this could be space stations or large wrecked spaceships that cut the connection between your mothership and your drone as soon as you enter them. So you'll have to drop small autonomous scout drones to explore the place and find nice loot. Maybe even some traps or lasers that have to be deactivated by letting a drone press a button, or other situations where you need clever programming to succeed.
  24. Yes it would require some rework to do this. Currently only weapons are designed to have upgrades. But if this feature is popular we could implement it in a future update.
