  2. Since we have the roleplay section, why not have other sections! I know it's a lot of work, but it would keep the forum neater. So, maybe a playthrough section, where you post your playthroughs? What do you think, @Philo?

  4. Meringue would like to announce that he has withdrawn from anything Role-playing completely. The Meringue Fan-Club has dispersed. Meringue will not take part in Role-Playing unless otherwise stated. Unless quoted or mentioned, Sky will probably not respond to anything in the Role-Play Section. Sincerely, Meringue and Sky.

  6. Greetings, Lucent. I have sparked an interest in your said Leech Meat that you have. I do prefer eating my meals with at least a small bit of protein... but not so much like bunnils or stagmoles. Snails are just overwhelming me now... My Colony's export list is somewhere above for you to look at. Thank you! - With care, Dragon Tear

  12. First, it was warrior cat challenges, then it was Hunger Games, now, it's kingdoms and armies and war. Which one is your favorite? For me, it's the current one- War, kingdoms, and armies.

  21. Of course, as two blessed with the sea as much as I was, bearing the tail of a much larger fish than you can dream, you two are accepted. Do not worry, for your horns shall be tipped with the softest of blossoms to resemble the peace of my Colony. I have been hearing stories about this said Poop... they have tried to declare war against my Colony as well. I understand your fear, but do not feel that way in here. I shall keep you safe no matter the cost. Do you two wish for any specific rank? If not, I can easily assign you into the Youth rank if you so choose. - With care, Dragon Tear

  23. No. The console is a pretty new addition. So you won't find it in the old ones (at least not the old ones you'd want to play. I think the console has been there only for 3upates or so)

  24. I'm pretty sure there is a demo available to download? Though it is a very old version so it wont be like how the game is now... but I do think they are currently making a newer demo to play! So, instead of buying the game, you could for now download the demo and then save up to purchase the full game.

  25. I like this idea! Maybe there could also be a section to where you can post Challenge Ideas, not playthroughs. Like basically explaining what to do in the challenge and stuff

  28. Born of the tense porcupine with a touch of peace from a doe, I accept. Your ability to collect will not change my mind on your ability to find a place to settle down in my heart, however. Make yourself welcome, dear! You are allowed to pick from the supply of healing fruits that my Colony grows deep within the densely packed jungles, so do not fear. They represent a minimal form of ambrosia the gods have provided for our Colony, so please do take as many as you wish. - With care, Dragon Tear

  29. Is that a bird born of snow and beauty? Along with a tail that paralyzes at the slightest touch, you are a fine young lass. As of now I will assign you the Youth role, for you have not specified which you want. Do you have a name? Or do you wish to be called... Poop's Sister by the rest of my colony? However, I will keep a very close eye on you, for I can sense your distance heritage to a recent offender of mine... - With care, Dragon Tear

  30. Okay. That's fine. I guess Meringue followers will have to find someone else to follow. Sad Whale and Orca.

  31. Ah, yes, two young lads will make a great addition to my Colony. Light, as of now, there is no rank for a hunter. I do not wish to harm wildlife such as rabbils and stagmoles. You could be a collector, however! In a way, they do hunt, but it is mostly snails. And for Sparrow, I should not be so assumptive of those who do bear the horns of the ram. Not all creatures with a crown of curled keratin have the sense to ram their way straight into danger and battle. I accept you as my Colony's first healer! - With care, Dragon Tear

  34. Hi, were you online when you should’ve received these achievements? You need to be online to receive achievements. You can check next time if you can bring up the Steam overlay in-game and if you can, you’ll know you’re online. Niche has always been a little glitchy with achievements, if you still have the albino creature, I recommend logging out and logging back in.

  35. Welcome to the forums! I like your name Sometimes the achievements take a while. The best thing is to just make sure you're connected to the internet and keep playing. Sometimes the achievemnts take a long time to pop up. It took me a long time to get the Adam's Curse achievement, both because my babies were never taken and also because when they were, the achievement never came. It finally did, though.

  36. Balance Bear fur sounds nice and cuddly. Those pesky bears terrorize us to no end here on Frost Berry Island, but none of us are quite strong enough to kill it! - Bostonlobstah

  37. Why does that tickle me Also, my favorite “era” was the time when the forums were mostly normal and it was starting to transition a little to “everyone shares their playthroughs”, because I oddly like reading them.

  40. PITCHER BODY: Three different designs: Based off of the many water capturing rain forest plants Based off of a closed umbrella Based off of a really cool desert beetle I saw in a documentary once. Affects: This body would fill up with water on 3 stages: Each turn not under cover in rain: +1 Underwater: +3 Night: 10% for +1 Night in Savannah: 25% for +1 Night in the cold: 2-5% for +1. When this nicheling clears snow +1 stage While full at any stage +1 heat resistance and -1 cold resistance When full at any stage a nicheling, other than the one with the gene, can drink the water and completely replenish their energy for -1 stage. Why: My main inspiration was the beetle that traveled to the top of a dune and did a handstand for a hour letting water condense on itself. It had microscopic channels on it to get the water to it's mouth. I chose 3 designs based off of three different designs that can hold water. Possible events: Misty days: 25% each turn for +1 stage (also would cool creatures and create a fog) There could be a version for every gene slot (Tail, snout, paw) , but I though a different body would be better

  43. Apparently nobody has suggested this. Why raise water nichelings when water biomes are so BORING? there is not enough to explore down there. I feel like maybe these suggestions will make it a little more intresting? More fish: I know we have alot already, but it would be cool if we had fish for deep oceans and rivers. So here are my fish ideas! River fish: Salmon. Just an ordinary salmon that goes up stream and then dies. dead body kinda like the clown koi. Deep ocean: Bass. Litteraly a bass. Troop, A trout that swims in groups of 2/3 Tropical fish: Colorful fish that just swim around like a fish. Now sea plant life! Corals: Corals can come in colors of Purple, pink, red, orange, and yellow. Seaweed: It grows very tall and has tons of nesting material. Very common deep in the ocean. Squids: Little squid that ink you if you attack them. the inking takes away one turn for three days. they give 3 food. Pufferfish: They give 2 food and once attacked they puff out and deal one attack to surrounding nichelings. Bubble columns: They randomly start blowing at dig sites at least 5 tiles deep into the ocean. They launch your nicheling up into the air for about 1 second before they come back down. And yeah.. Thats it.

  44. Perfect genes for me don't exist because I don't like a homogenous looking tribe. So I have a bunch of different looking Nichelings all around and don't mind the occasional webbed feet or yellow fur. Just if anything starts to dominate it gets annoying. Though I do prefer good eyes, high fertility, different immunity genes and no hemophilia

  47. Honey is an amazing food source! Bee hives can be found in trees of any kind, or more rarely on the ground. Any nicheling can gather honey, no matter its genes, and you can gather as much as you want without emptying the hive. You can get 2 food points every time you gather, it does not seem like much, but you dont need specialized genes and it never runs out. Gathering honey causes nichelings to be covered in it, giving them a sweet smell, and other pack mates can lick the honey to get one extra food. However, gathering too much honey can anger the bees, causing them to sting you. At first each sting will only remove one turn from the nichelings, but many consecutive stings can cause damage, creatures with stinky tail have a lower chance of being stung, and those with armored body are completely immune to stings. You can attack the hive to break a piece which gives 5 food, and you can attack it 4 times before destroying it, giving a total of 20 food, however, this will stop honey production and enrage the bees, which will ignore stinky tail and armor body in this case. It takes a few days for the hive to recover a broken piece, and hives are rare, so you dont want to destroy one. If its on a tree, only flying creatures can gather from it, but you can shake the tree to bring down a honey comb, but shaking it often can break a piece or bring the whole hive down, so hives on the ground are better. They can be found from medium to killer islands. Genes: narrow snout: lets you eat the bees( unlocked by getting stung 50 times) honey paw: lets you gather one extra food point from honey if genes identical, also gives 1 gathering and 1 strength. ( Unlocked by inviting a nicheling with that gene and having all other honey genes.) Long tongue( It says tongue but its a snout gene): Can get 1 extra food point from licking honey. ( Unlocked by licking honey 100 times) Honey eating creatures: Honey glutton: A mix between a wolverine and a honey badger, this guy does not give a dam about anything, the fiercest creature in niche, it rarely hurts nichelings, but it will eat anything, from nuts to fish to bunnies and berries( It will sometimes destroy a berry bush because it does not care) but its favorite food is honey, it will fiercely guard a give, eating the bees, honey and sometimes breaking a piece, but sometimes it will go away, letting you gather. It cant reach honey on trees. It moves one tile every time a nicheling moves, and it has little defense, but If any creature gets near it, I will make and intimidating growl which will even scare away an ape! Nichelings affected by the growl cant interact with the glutton, essentially making it invincible, and letting it go on its merry way. They are rare, but will be more likely to spawn if there is honey. They can be found in any island with honey and live 50 days. Rarely, it can do a special attack that ignores defence and spikyness. honey parrot: A yellow parrot like bird which will fly around hives in trees. It will perch on the tree and gather honey, and if a nicheling tries to steal its honey, it will make a call which will instantly enrage the bees and it can cause a predator to come near. You can hunt it or lick the honey it gathers. It can be found in any island with honey.
