  1. Here are a couple of fun little things I thought about. Feel free to share your own ideas or suggest ways to improve mine. The first one is pretty simple: More interactivity Basically just more things to do on the nest areas. -an oak tree that works the same way as the berry bush (you can shake it by tapping it and the acorns fall off) -plants that shake when you touch them -little bugs or other critters that fly or run away when you poke them The other two are mini games. The first is a bit simpler, while the second could be a bit hard to implement. The first idea is that you have to fend off rabbils from berry bushes or alternatively dodomingos from nests. Basically whack a mole with moving targets. When you run out of berries (or all the nests are occupied) you get scored by the amount of intruders you managed to keep away The other minigame idea I have would be a lot harder to implement. It's "boss battles" for each biome so in the grasslands you would have a bearyena, in the savannah you'd have whatever the predator there is called and in the snow biome you'd have a balance bear. The battle itself would take place on a small grid consisting of hexagons similiar to the main game. The predator would spawn in the middle and three nichelings of your choise would spawn on the tiles around it. Every nicheling as well as the predator has a health bar. When a nicheling's health reaches 0, it's out of the battle and will get the bleeding effect. The nichelings would have different options like move, attack and heal (for nichelings with purrsnout). There is an infinite amount of moves, but every three moves you make the boss gets to make a move as well. If all of your nichelings are out, you loose. If you defeat the enemy, you win and are rewarded with a mutagen.

  8. After ant research, I present the Ant Nest Challenge! SETTINGS: Short life Lots of Nichelings at the start, one queen, and some others Turn off wanderers and rogue males. There is a limit to nicheling amount, so first breed, then seperate into multiple colonies. Pick a large grassy island RULES: Pick one ant to be the queen, she is the only one who has babies. If a male is born, they leave the colony and find a queen to mate with. Males die as soon as they breed Those with high collecting are workers, they collect food Those with high strength are soldiers, they protect the colony When the queen dies, pick one of the female larvae (babies) to be the next queen Each colony has it's own nest, which is small grass clearings with narrow, 1-hexagon wide paths connecting them. Destroy everything inside the nest and keep it clear. Only gather food that comes from outside the nest (because ants leave the nest to find food) Good luck! How long can the ants survive?

  11. The Psychic Fox Heart lore go brr Evergreen walked from the crime scene, watching snow pile onto the bones of those she'd killed. She was a monster, and she knew it. But if she was already a monster, why stop now? Preparing her lies, she went into the snows and found the others. Little did Fearless know, right in front of them, was their father's murderer. While returning to the camp, Fearless was so excited to meet their sister, they jumped into the snow as it flew up all over Laika and Mud. The two prisoners were unfazed; Laika was looking at Evergreen smugly, who returned the gaze. A chill went up Carrion's spine; what were they thinking? Meanwhile, Fox Heart pulled Tiger's Eye, Salvador and Horizon aside. Fox: "I have something to tell you all." Tiger's Eye was concerned for the young nicheling: "What is it?" Fox: "I have the ability to foretell the future." Salvador stared at Fox Heart for a long moment: "..You do..?" Fox nodded, grinning. Her eyes shone like two stars against the snowy hills. It was almost haunting: "Somewhere on this mountain, 2 nichelings have recently died." She looked up. "They're up there now." Tiger's Eye and Salvador shared a glance. Horizon raised an eyebrow. Fox's eyes shifted to a blazing inferno: "And somewhere else, a child as fierce as fire has been born." A hotsprings with a rock and a gray child appeared in her gaze: "Nearby, a gray nicheling with a bruised tail is preparing her vengeance." Tiger's Eye thought for a moment. Who had she seen with a bruised tail? And gray? Whoever she was, she was quite forgettable. And a child as fierce as fire.. was it a Burnings nicheling? Nobody had been born recently. Unless I've forgotten them. Horizon broke the silence with a skeptical tone: "We should tell Moose and Fire Opal becau-" Fox, interrupting: "Because they've seen Fire Ruby's healing and anti-aging ability? And they're saying you're sacred, because of your horns, so you trust them?" She can foretell the future. And the past, it seems. Horizon was at a loss for words, almost as if someone had just told her she had been kidnapped by the Burnings for her horns. Salvador: "Y-You're right.. we need to tell Moose and Fire Opal." Fox: "I can foretell that this will go nicely.." There was something haunting in her tone, but Tiger's Eye shrugged it off. Fox Heart had always been somewhat ominous. The group went back to the rest of the tribe. Tiger's Eye hesitated. There was something.. terrifying.. about knowing her future. Hearing something that I'm going to do that I can't change.. it must be crushing. But she was also curious. What if her future was nice? After all, fate is fate. No matter what Fox Heart says, it will happen. She can't be stopped until she knows her destiny has been fulfilled. It made her feel powerful, something she was new to feeling. Even though she was the only venomous nicheling on the entire mountain, she had never felt powerful with her abilities before. Rather scared of them. And it made her feel pulled to knowing her path. She followed Fox Heart, preparing to know her fate. There was no looking back now. Fearless ran up to their almost-identical sister, Rowan. The pair had only three differences; age, snout and claws. But neither seemed to care. Fearless: "Where's my other sibling? I thought there were three of us, since Mother began expecting another child after you." Rowan raised an eyebrow: "She went off to Emu and Evergreen.." All eyes turned to Evergreen, who put on a fake concerned face over her true satisfaction. Her mind played the scene of Firecracker crashing into icy waves as steam from her heat body wove into the clouds above. It felt wrong, but so amazing. Nobody can stop me, but you. She stared at Fearless, her haunting ambition overshadowed by shock: "Emu and Firecracker went after you and Carrion. Firecracker didn't want another child until she knew the threat had been contained." Fearless felt a piece of herself die. Mother is missing.. and it's all my fault. I wanted to capture the prisoners to prove myself strong.. but I ended up getting Mother and Father lost in the storm. They dropped their gaze to their paws: "We'll have to search for them when the storm ends. Mother should be fine, she has a heat body, and Father can protect her." Suddenly, Hurricane piped up: "What about Parrot?" Evergreen stared at Hurricane with sad eyes: "He went with them. I thought he told you." Hurricane looked as if Evergreen had just told her she was going to kill Pomegranate by drowning him in snow. Fearless found it a bit suspicious that Evergreen had changed her story, but shrugged it off as just another detail she had just been asked. Tail curled tightly around Pomegranate, Hurricane stared up into the clouds. Parrot, please stay safe and survive the storm. Your son needs you. After explaining Fox Heart's abilities, all the nichelings gathered around to hear about their futures. Arctic watched with suspicion, but Tiger's Eye wanted to go after her siblings. Fox: "Salvador." She stared at him, her eyes the color of a melting iceberg, "You've left all behind for yourself.. all that's left is to live with your consequence." Salvador stared at her emotions beyond words. Tiger's Eye wondered what that meant. Melting Ice.. the Frozens? He left the Frozens for his own gain? Why? And what gain? Tiger's Eye barely had time to wonder what it meant when Fox Heart turned to Horizon. Horizon lifted her head as Fox spoke, her eyes shifting to a fiery crown: "Horizon, you are destined to become the great leader of the Burnings. Your horns grant you the power of the Blood Constellations from above.. Use it wisely, and you will rule over this Empire." Tiger's Eye knew what the Constellations were; when Empire citizens die, they join their Empire's Constellation. Ever star on the speckled sky was another Island's Constellation residents. From here, she couldn't tell which of those stars were Quartz, Blood Sky or Brownie. "And you." Tiger's Eye looked at Fox Heart with a frightened yet curious gaze. Fox Heart looked hypnotic, as if she was searching Tiger's Eye through her own eyes. It made chills go down her spine. A black, liquid skull appeared in Fox Heart's eyes. "You will bring death to this island, one nicheling at a time." And Tiger's Eye knew she couldn't stop it.. nothing could. I'm a monster, and I always have been for my venom.. It's too late to stop now.

  25. By morning everyone is enthusiastic and ready to go. On to yet another island, another land Daisy is already waiting, soon Baba joins her. The flowers feel so soft after days of walking on the sandy beach and thought the swampy grounds. Before long they are ready. Although they may be in a rush to leave, looking bad this island wasn't so bad. It's... peaceful, didn't try to throw anything dangerous at them. (except for the leech but mhmhmhm that doesn't count.) It's like a sleeping beast, with all it's hidden streams and stout blue trees, only friendly to those who can understand it. Maybe there's more to this island than they think...

'SUCK IT UP AND EAT THAT THING!' Nina interrupts her thoughts in a loud but surprisingly encouraging voice. Daisy too dunks her head in the water and grabs a chunk of blob coral. When she comes up her ears are droopy and heavy with water. She takes a bite. It tastes... oceany. 'Hey it isn't too bad.' A light buzz travels under her fur and down to her tail. 'Mmm not bad.'

  36. Pocky spent a lot of time by the water. The waves were always a way to help him clear his head-well, as close as he could come to it. His head was never really clear. It just helped him understand things better. Half the time he had trouble being able to fathom that he exists. The rain was a nice touch. It wasn't hard rain either. It was soft- Like gentle pawsteps, how a butterfly flaps it's wings, the way berries smell. Half the time he didn't even understand his own thoughts. They were all rainbow-overwhelming, difficult, hard to comprehend. Something was in the waves. A face. Staring back at him. It wasn't his own, yet he couldn't quite pinpoint why. Maybe it was the fact that it sat just next to his reflection, or that there was nobody next to him. He twitched an ear, staring back at the smiling image of someone he didn't know. "Who are you?" It giggled. "I'm nobody! Who are you?" ....... "Are you nobody too?"

  38. They had been walking for hours, and the snow was really starting to pile up. "I think my paws might just freeze off..." "I'm coooolllddd! And tired! Someone carry me!" "Hm, let me think...no." Bastille finally stopped for a moment, sighing and turning to the other four. "Listen, you may not like what I have to say, but it will be necessary in the long run." Everyone listened intently-even Statter, who looked more annoyed than they had ever seen her. Bastille let out a breath. "If we want to make a tribe, then it will be necessary that a few children are born-" Statter immediately hissed, backing away from the three males and crouching next to Almond. "No way! If any of you touch me I'll bash your brains in!" Bastille sighed, clearly losing patience. He opted to ignore her, turning to Almond and raising an eyebrow. Almond thumped her tail against the ground, keeping silent. Then after a few heartbeats, she nodded. "Sure, I could do that." Bastille nodded, relieved, and then continued onward, trying to lead them to a safe place.

  39. “Everyone, please, if any of you know where we are, speak up. Otherwise, shut your mouth and sit down.” . . . “So nobody knows where we are?” “Way to go, captain obvious.” “Shut.” . . . “Then does anybody have any ideas?” “I think we should introduce ourselves… So that we have something to call each other!” “You seem way too calm.” “Orange one- Shush. It’s a good idea.” “So…?” “You, albino, go first.” “Blizzard. My name is Blizzard. That’s all you need to know.” “Grey and yellow one?” . . . “Can someone poke them or something?” Ze poke “Huh? Oh uh- Steel.” “Red one?” “I’m fine with being called red one. I’d rather not have my name known.” “You’re stuck with us, so if you want us to get anywhere, then just say it.” . . . “Extra Raw Toast. . .” “Sounds like food.” “What is it with you and food?!”

  40. Alright, here we go: Everyone breeds straight away, because niche. We've got some children born Overjoyed, Lenmi gazes down into the nest, excited to see her new child. But, to her horror, her daughter is corrupted. Meara doesn't bear gills OR water body. Her fate is sealed the moment Anoke sees her. Fish child Ironically, the bearyena goes after Meara, who has armored body (that damage is from her mother's sickness) Looks like Jungle Boi found us a slave- Babies (can you guess what playthrough i just read?-) Sira teaches her son how to crack clams and coconuts. He just manages to tick off every crabbit and nicheling in a five mile radius with his excited squealing. She's still proud.
