Basically nichelings but their anatomy is based on other animals. Some of them will be drawn as a species based entirely on their design and some will be based on real animals If you want to request, you can choose the way your nicheling will be drawn and if it's based on a real animal you can also choose the animal4 points

Neglecteds are very hard to get, so don't worry. You can only get neglecteds if the eggs only have one more hour to live, and it didn't get more than 10 views before the last hour I'm pretty sure2 points

Hello! I am a teacher at a school for Special Needs Education. I started testing Niche to find out if it suits the needs of my pupils. On one hand, i love the complexity of the game, making it possible to experience many aspects of genetics and Evolution. On the other hand, for Education purposes, it would be extremely useful to reduce the complexity, e.g. to only look at the available food and leaving aspects like temperature, ability to swim or fight, fertility, ... aside. Is this possible in Niche? Thank you!1 point

I agree. I just watched a video of one where two 5 strength nichelings managed to defeat one with one hit each. Baba can do it in two days with 5 hits. I am going to start calming down now.1 point

Thank you. I tried wiki but it's all from old updates. Do you know how much damage it has to take before it releases?1 point

Daisy then goes over to talk to Baba. Neither of them have had much time together since they met. It was always Baba and Leo, her and Nina. But now Leo is gone, and the group dynamics won't be the same. 'Hey Baba, I was wondering if you think there are any of those healing plants here like there were in the jungle.' She says. 'Probably. The Hills had sunplants. I don't see why there couldn't be any here.' She replies. Nina's head in the background. Thats the only reason I took this screenshot.1 point

FInished the basic Bearyena behaviour, did some improvement to the controls and... added canibalism 😮 This feature has been requested many times now and I always thought it was too creepy to add, but it also happens in nature so I thought I'd give it a try. Nichelings now spawn "Nicheling meat" when they die. I'm thinking about adding a mechanic that the meat does not spawn, or maybe just less meat spawns, when the creature was very young, very old or died of hunger. Normal Nichelings can not pick up Nicheling meat. But I added a new head gene the that gives you +1 canibalism and gives you the ability to collect it. Spooky. Now I'm wondering what this head gene should be called/look like? I read about canibalistic animals a bit. Seems like rabbits, hamsters, polar bears, some apes, many insects and fish are canibals.1 point

Added some basic behaviour for the Bearyena. If it's hungry, it looks for food. In this case meat on the ground that can be picked up. If it runs into a Nicheling or Rabbil it will try to turn them into meat too. It can carry some meat around with it and consume it when hungry. The rest of the time it roams around. A Harsh World "We Can't be here.." "We can't leave! How are we supposed to do anything? In a few days the tribe will be guarding the exits from this island!" "At least we could try.." "We would end up dead in a day." "We could survive out there. I know it!" "I doubt we will even make it halfway to the island without one of us drowning." ignore the balance bear and ram foxes in the background-1 point
