The process of mitosis Interphase: Period between division. Cell undergoes normal functions. Toward the end of the phase, genetic material replicates to prepare for mitosis. Prophase: Chromatin condenses into visible chromosomes. Nuclear membrane disappears. Centrioles begin to form spindle fibres and migrate to poles. Metaphase: Sister chromatids, pairs of replicated chromosomes connected by centromeres, align to the equator and attach to the spindle fibres. Centrioles are at the poles at this point. Anaphase: Centromeres divide and sister chromatids separate and are pulled toward opposite poles. Telophase: Chromatids have reached opposite poles. Nuclear membrane reappears. Mitosis is complete. Chromosomes now decondense into chromatin. Daughter cells will be genetically identical. Cytokinesis: Seperate to mitosis, occurs alongside telophase (or maybe sometime else, I dunno). Cleavage furrow, or "pinch" in the cell membrane, occurs in the middle of the parent cell. Cytoplasm and organelles replicate and migrate to opposite poles. The cleavage furrow continues to pinch the cells apart. Two daughter cells are formed. Cell division is complete. The new cells go into interphase.

I thought of that as well and the chapter isn't over yet so, there will be more scenes involving the personalities of the sisters as well as new mysteries and doubts to Night's story, when I get this chapter done there will be a flashback to months earlier. It was way more than alright, it was amazing! The reason for the herbalist collars having a golden flower in them is pretty smart, and I specifically like the little bits of history sprinkled around! Not enough to paint the full picture, but enough to get you interested in this new world and how it works. The only real criticism I have (and take this with a grain of salt), is that the info dump of the kitten's personalities and physical traits in Chapter 1 could have been done a tiny bit better. If I was in your shoes and wanted to, say, show that Smoke is skilled at catching flying insects, I would have written a scene where she is shown swiftly catching a fly, adding a description of her physical features in the scene as well. (<<< just an example) But either way, I'm definitely enjoying the story and excited for new updates Best of luck! (Also I just read page 9, and this update further emphasizes my point on not painting the full picture but still getting you interested)

I get some sand from another planet, and get myself wet with water. I then create a watering can out of a log by sand blasting it, and pick up some water while I'm wet, I fly up to you, and water you. just enough to get the soil moist

Setup Multipliers You can set the age setting multipliers however you'd like, but it must add up to 50 days total. Pregnancy is void. Damage multipliers are all set to 100. Healing is 0. Genes You can start with as many nichelings as you'd like. All must have randomized everything; gender, genes, age, etc. The only two things that can be set is name and fertility. You are required to have no fertility for all nichelings. World Disable nests and dodomingos. You don't need them. Gameplay Start with 50 food and 0 nesting material; blind genes. Rules - The tribe must always have 0 fertility. When inviting in a new nicheling, set their fertility to 0. - The tribe needs to stay separate. If a nicheling goes in seeing / smelling / hearing range of another nicheling, they will fight. roll to see who dies. When a new nicheling shows up, they have 2 days to get away from whoever invited them in. - Since each nicheling is separate, they must gather food for themselves. Use gem colors to signify how much food each nicheling has collected (green means they haven't collected food, orange means they have enough for the day, blue means they have enough for 2 days; the next day, set their gems to orange) 6 pieces is the maximum they can store. If a nicheling fails to collect enough food, remove ten pieces from the food storage and give said nicheling sleeping sickness. Once the sickness is gone, they have a day to collect, and then the process may repeat. When the sickness is there, food keeps vanishing. (so the tribe can be dragged down by one bad apple) Good Luck!

I think males should have decreased fertility, and females may loose more fertility or loose it all together. Maybe females have -4 or -5 fertility and males have only -3 fertility when in the elder stage. I think it should be a minus so more fertile nichelings would still be more fertile than less fertile ones even in the elder stage.

well uhh, the fertility thing should only be on females? maybe. It would make sense.

Yeah, minus one on all those stats is probably good (and distasteful appearance is an interesting addition to that list), and low fertility I think instead of infertility, maybe minus 3 or 4 from their original fertility rating (so nearly infertile nichelings would be infertile, high fertility nichelings would still be fertile but low fertility). Also, maybe elders should have like something extra to contribute to the tribe in wisdom or something someway so ppl wont want to just kill them off...idk if ppl would do that to nichelings who have served their tribe well but who knows. Also, maybe elders cannot be banished from the tribe

I've been thinking of this ever since I got this game. I'd really like to see that. Maybe something like... -1 Speed if their original speed was 2 or more -1 Swimming if their original speed was 2 or more -1 Strength -1 Cold resistence +1 Distasteful Appearence Low fertility or infertile Or we could just make them low fertile and take out a gem and call it even.
