  8. for an example, i'll use that it/its/itself This is my friend Katie. It went to the store by itself to by its grandma some flowers. if they use for example he/its This is my friend Kevin. He always gets good grades, so its parents always buy him the latest video games. Right now, its favorite video game is Minecraft. so basically you just replace where she/he/they would be in a sentence, with the neo pronouns. or you can switch between neopronouns and normal pronouns. if you have any more questions just ask. and it's the same as noun pronouns such as moon/moons/moonself

  13. Genuine question: How do neo pronouns work? Is there a way to bend them like with she/her/hers, he/him/his and they/them/their? I've never seen anyone actually use them to refer to someone so I don't know how to do it

  20. Hello! I've been on the forums for a while but this is my first post. I'm not sure if there is a similar challenge out there, but I thought this would be a fun challenge to try out. Description: A leader tries to lead its tribe, but the various personalities of the tribe mates is proving this task more difficult than previously thought... Goal: Survive 20 generations Settings: Rules: No mutation menu The cheat "takedamage" is allowed A leader is picked when the tribe size reaches 5 (Optional: When a wrong move is made, e.g. an unhelpful helps another nicheling pick off a goldleech, inflict 2 damage onto the nicheling who made the wrong move.) (Optional: Move islands every 100 days) Tip: I add their personality next to their name to help me remember Here is the list of personalities: Disclaimer: Some "personalities" are not actually personalities Use a random number generator to roll for the personalities Personalities for all: Unhelpful: This nicheling never helps others. Effect: Nicheling cannot be used to cure bleeds, e.g. remove goldleeches, lick wounds, use healing purr. Prideful: This nicheling thinks highly of itself and refuses help from others. Effect: Nicheling will run away when faced with a predator. It will not fight back. Loner: This nicheling enjoys being alone Effect: (Only begins in teen and adulthood) Nicheling will never be on a tile next to another nicheling (exceptions are when it is undergoing banishment, when it is being invited into the tribe, or when it has an Overprotective personality mother). Wanderer: This nicheling yearns to explore beyond its birth tribe. Effect: Leader will have to banish it when it reaches adulthood (this personality overrules the Welcoming leader personality). If the last nicheling in the tribe has the Wanderer personality, invite a wanderer into the tribe, then banish the nicheling. Island-hopper: This nicheling loves travelling. Effect: Nicheling will be one of the selected nichelings who will travel to other islands. Destructive: This nicheling enjoys destruction. Effect: Nicheling only destroys things and does destructive actions e.g. destroy bushes, clear grass, dig for roots and worms, attack creatures etc. Protective: This nicheling is very protective over its babies. Effect: Nicheling is always on the tiles next to its child/children when the day ends until they become an adult Neglectful: This nicheling often wanders off, neglecting its baby or any children it is babysitting. Effect: Nicheling is never on the tile beside its baby or any baby it is supposed to look after when the day ends. Prolific: This nicheling wants to have as many children as possible. Effect: As long as there is space in the tribe, this nicheling will continue to have babies. It will use up all its moves on mating until pregnancy occurs. One-child: This nicheling only wants one alive child. Effect: Nicheling will kill off any of the only child’s younger siblings when they are born (this can happen due to misclicks or rogue pregnancies). Misopedist: This nicheling dislikes children. Effect: Nicheling will not have any children. If it ends up with a child, it will let its mate take care of it or adopt it out. Sessile: This nicheling will not move from its spot it has chosen as an adult. Effect: Nicheling cannot move from its spot once it reaches adulthood. Slowpoke: This nicheling moves very slowly. Effect: Nicheling moves one tile at a time. Quick-footed: This nicheling is fast on its feet. Effect: When moving the nicheling, click only on the paw symbols that border the area in which the nicheling can move. (*see picture at the very bottom of the post) Fidgety: This nicheling is constantly twitching. Effect: Nicheling must move a tile at least once every day. Insecure: This nicheling is constantly worried about something. Effect: (Only begins in teen and adulthood) Nicheling will only move to tiles covered by tall grass. It will not move to exposed tiles with no grass coverage e.g sandy beaches, tiles whose grass have been cleared etc. If unable to find a tile covered in grass before it becomes a teen, it will freeze when it becomes a teen and refuse to move from its spot. Clingy: This nicheling wants to stay by another nicheling’s side all the time. Effect: Nicheling must be next to another nicheling when the day ends. Normal: A normal nicheling! Finally! Effect: No effect. Nutty for Nuts: This nicheling just loves nuts! Effect: The only food this nicheling collects is nuts (coconuts included). Only applicable if the nicheling is able to crack open nuts. Fruity for Fruits: This nicheling just loves fruits! Effect: The only food this nicheling collects is fruit, (coconuts, fruit from cactus, fruit from meat eating plants included). Only applicable if the nicheling is able to collect fruits. Carnivorous: This nicheling just loves meat! Effect: The only food this nicheling collects is meat (clams, insects, goldleeches included). Only applicable if the nicheling has at least 2 in strength. Xenophobic: This nicheling fears the unknown Effect: Nicheling will not clear grass, enter tiles covered in grass or be the one to invite in wanderers. Hydrophobic: This nicheling fears water Effect: Nicheling will not enter any water bodies or tiles containing in water puddles. When it rains it will try to shelter beneath a tree. Metathesiophobe: This nicheling fears change. Effect: Nicheling will not travel to other islands and will stay behind. Early bird: This nicheling is the first to get up every morning. Effect: Move this nicheling first, using up all its action points before moving other nichelings. If more than one nicheling shares this personality, move the two first however you like (this means you can use up one of their action points first before using up another one’s, or you can alternate between their moves.) Night Owl: This nicheling is the last to get up everyday. Effect: Move this nicheling last, using up all its action points after everyone else has used up their moves. If more than one nicheling shares this personality, move the two last however you like (this means you can use up one of their action points first before using up another one’s, or you can alternate between their moves.) Leader-only Personalities (roll when nicheling becomes leader.) Leader personalities take precedence over other personalities Perfectionist: This leader will get rid of any nicheling it finds undesirable. Effect: Leader will banish any nicheling with traits it finds undesirable, e.g. ugly nicheling, useless nicheling, sick nicheling, rogue children etc. Alternatively you can use the random mutation generator to decide. Link: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/214535915/ Welcoming: This leader always has open arms for wanderers. Effect: Invite in every wanderer the tribe comes across, unless the tribe is full. Controlling: This leader loves dictating what its tribe members can or cannot do Effect: Each nicheling is only allowed to perform the role it is assigned to (e.g. fruit collectors can only collect fruit, hunters can only collect meat, grass can only be cleared by explorers, child-bearers can only have children, only defenders can fight etc.) Changing of roles for a nicheling is allowed, since this leader will dictate what everyone does. This personality overrules every personality that causes the nicheling to only collect certain types of food and personalities that don’t want to collect anything e.g. Do-nothings. This effect only lasts for as long as the leader leads the tribe. Impatient: This leader will not wait for any stragglers. Effect: When on a port, if the leader can interact with the pointy stone, it will use it and not wait for anyone not already on the port. Kind-hearted: This leader is a sweetheart who cares for its tribemates deeply. Effect: Never banish anyone in the tribe for as long as it is leader (only exception to this is loner). Slacker: This nicheling wants to take the easy way out. Effect: Tribe limit is halved to 13 for as longer as the leader leads the tribe. Queen bee: This leader is the only one who can have children. Effect: Any baby or child in the tribe not belonging to the leader must be killed or banished for as long as the leader leads the tribe. Monarchy: This leader wants its children to become the next tribe leader. Effect: Only the leader’s children can become the next leader. If the leader is unable to reproduce, it will adopt a child as its own. If there are no children, the leader will die and the next leader will be chosen based on the player’s decision. Traditionist: This leader wants to uphold tradition. Effect: Any baby born when this leader is leading the tribe will automatically inherit the personality of their mother if they’re a female or their father if they’re a male. For rogue-born males, randomly generate their personality. Tradition abolisher: This leader despises traditional practices. Effect: Will not travel to the next island for as long as this leader leads the tribe. Female-only Personalities (Continues from Personalities for all) Bearyena lover: This female only wants to have children with bearyenas. Effect: Female will only mate with friendly bearyenas. Effect: Only nichelings who have been banished from the tribe can mate with her. They can however be invited back in again once she becomes pregnant. Rogue hater: This female hates rogue males. Effect: Nicheling will attack rogue males regardless of whether it has spiky body. If the nicheling can absolutely not attack it, it will run away. This nicheling will kill any babies she has given birth to who were fathered by a rogue male. Picky: This female only accept males who have proven themselves worthy. Effect: Courter has to collect three different types of food within 5 days before he can mate with her. Male-only Personalities Charmer: This male knows what to say and do to impress the females. Effect: Male fathers all the tribe’s children for as long as he lives. Exception is females who have a specific preference for mates. If there is more than one charmer present at once in the tribe, they will split the number of females between them. If the nicheling rolled for this personality is infertile, reroll. Removed personalities that I feel don't work, but you can try them out Follower: This nicheling is easily influenced. Effect: Choose the nicheling you want the follower to follow. Whatever it does that the follower can do, the follower will do. Re-generation (leader-only): This leader hates the tribe and wants to start a fresh new one. Effect: Banish every single tribe member within 5 days apart from its mate. Can invite wanderers who have never been in the tribe before. Sniffer(leader-only): This leader relies only on its nose for guidance. Effect: Only use the smelling sense for as this leader leads. Hearer(leader-only): This leader relies only on its ears for guidance. Effect: Only use hearing sense for as long as this leader leads. Sighter(leader-only): This leader relies only on its eyes for guidance. Effect: Only use sight sense for as long as this leader leads. Rebellious: This nicheling doesn’t listen to others. Effect: Doesn’t listen to what the leader tells it to do Daredevil: This nicheling loves doing dangerous stunts Effect: Nicheling does life-threatening stunts, e.g sits under a coconut tree every night, picks at a cactus fruit often, dives in and out of deep water, anything that may potentially cause harm to it. Superstitious: This nicheling wants a sense of security. Effect: It will act according to its beliefs (Some superstitions I've come up with: e.g 1. Don’t sleep next to a berry bush, or it will entrap you within its many branches. 2. Don’t sleep on the sand, or you will sink into it at night and suffocate. 3. Never pick more than three berries a day, or the bearyena will come and make you its prey 4. Sleep next to three nichelings at night or a bearyena will come and give you a fright. etc) Insecure (original version): This nicheling feels threatened by nature. Effect: Nicheling will only stand on tiles covered by grass. It will not move to exposed tiles, e.g. sandy beaches. If it spawns on an uncovered tile, e.g. when it is born or when it travels to a new island, it will freeze up and refuse to move until it can move to a covered grass tile (when another nicheling lights it up for it). If it travels to an island that has no grass covered tiles (e.g. mountain biomes), it will freeze up and refuse to move at all, ending the day with all its action points unused. Travel-aversed: This nicheling hates travelling. Effect: Nicheling will not travel to the next island, and will not clear grass. What I meant in Quick-footed (ignore the Destructive personality the nicheling has😞 When moving the nicheling, click only on the paw symbols(the circle symbols) that border(the outline) the area in which the nicheling can move. Enjoy the challenge! I might update this challenge when I think of more personalities. Feel free to suggest any other personalties and its effects on the nichelings who have them!

  26. This is a challenge all about social structure. In this challenge, there are two social layers. You should use a very large island to allow this challenge to really take form: On the top are nobles. Nobles are the stronger, higher ranking faction. They are generally very beautiful (to you, at least), and will not bother with things like collecting grass. Nobles, however, do love a good hunt and chasing down rogues. They mostly live off the work from the villagers. They should each have their own space on a seperate part of the island than the villagers. They have the alpha rank. Their gems should be colored a noble gold. At the bottom are villagers. Villagers are normal, everyday nichelings with a whatever appearance. They may hunt, collect grass, pick berries, and all other nicheling related things. Each nicheling family has to have two parents and no more than 4 children. A couple cannot have more children until one of them dies or is married off. Each family should have their own small ‘house’ in the island at with at least one line of darkness between then and any neighboring family. They have the beta rank. Their gems can be colored between families so you can tell who comes from where. Generally, a house consists of some kind of food source (berry bush, river, tree) and a nest or at least enough space to make one. Marriage Daughters are very prized, especially a particularly pretty or talented daughter (Defined as having 3+ in any single skill, or a special skill such as weather prediction, this is up to you). When a daughter is born, all genetically compatible males will fight for the right to the daughter. If you have a lot of genetically compatible males, you can choose to limit the amount or only give each male 1 number so the numbers don’t get unmanageable. Use a die or a random number generator and give two numbers to each male, for example. Male 1 gets 2 and 6 Male 2 gets 1 and 3 Male 3 gets 4 and 5. The male whose number gets called wins the daughter, this is absolute, even if you didn’t want that female and that male to mate. HOWEVER, if the daughter is particularly desirable (in your eyes or by raw stats, whichever you prefer) and a noble family has a genetically compatible son, you must flip a coin to decide if the nobles take the daughter instead, regardless of whether you wanted her to mate with the nobles or not. Of course, this can always result in a lot of forbidden romances, subterfuge, sabotage, and family rivalries. This challenge is great fun if you’re into roleplay. Once a daughter reaches adulthood, she should get her own space with her husband and start having children as soon as possible. Their gems should gain a unique color, which all their children will inherit. Orphans and the matron: Orphans are the children of mothers and rogues, children a family has over their 4 child limit, or children whose parents have died. Somewhere on your island, there should be an orphan matron. Orphan matrons are usually older nichelings, sickly or crippled nichelings, or infertile nichelings. The orphanage should be separate from the normal area where your nichelings live, though not too far. Orphans have the omega rank. Orphan daughters can be married off when they reach adulthood. Usually only families that cannot seem to win a challenge will accept an orphan daughter as a wife. Nobles will never take an orphan wife. If there is no family who wants the orphan wife, she can either become a matron or a slave. Orphan sons may be married off if there are no other genetically compatible males for a given female. Otherwise, they begin work as matrons or become slaves for the nobles. This part of the challenge is mostly optional, but it does become useful if the orphan children have immunities that have become rare in the common population. Matron and orphan gems are orange unless they marry, after which they take their mate’s gem color. Matrons cannot marry or have mates. There can only be 3 matrons at a time! There are a few absolute rules in the clan: Villager females, especially married females, who mate with rogue males become ostracized. They can either be banished or given the omega rank and forced to do slave work like clear grass for the nobles, harvest stinky fruit, or become babysitters or orphan matrons. Their illegitimate children become orphans or can be banished and immediately killed if you choose not to do the orphanage. Villager families cannot become noble, though a family who produces desirable, healthy children is usually considered more highly among the clan members. Noble females who bring shame to the family name (for example, breeding with a rogue or a slave) are demoted to a villager. She cannot return to the noble rank ever again, and any children born from a demoted noble female cannot marry into noble families. If a male cannot produce children after 5 failed mating attempts (6 attempts in total), the daughter can choose return to their birth family and be married off to another male nicheling. A female can choose to give a male more chances, but generally will give up after ten tries or so. That male cannot compete for that daughter in her next challenge. An infertile daughter or son is usually banished, demoted to a slave, or made into an orphan matron as they are considered burdens on their family. Wanderers are always a villager, and cannot marry into noble families. However, their children can given they are talented and/or desirable enough. Nobles decide things like moving islands and serve as arbitrators in disputes. How to start: My settings are: Baby = 2 days Child = 5 days Teen = 12 days Adult = 61 days Pregnancy duration = 3 days Enemy damage = 10 Environment damage = 5 Hunger damage = 5 Healing = 5 Start with nine nichelings. Two noble families, and two villager families, and one orphan matron. Make sure to have their gems colored. You can design them or have the game generate them. You should use a large island. Grass Mingle, Grass adventure, Archipelago, and Peaceful Meadow are all good starting points. If you like a little variety, you can turn off some predators and go to some crazy islands like the deep jungle or home island. Do what makes you happy :3 Good luck!

  27. @Philo Please bring back defender bears. Since people didn't like them before, I suggest: disable them for story mode. in sandbox they are available in the world settings to turn on and off. The option could even be automatically unchecked. Or perhaps some sort of changes can be made to the bears so they're more likeable. they were really fun sometimes. when the game is hard, it's fun! i had a father and son get killed by a defender bear once and it was sad but it made a cool story for the remaining family.

  32. Name: Confrey Pronouns:He Him Age (why is this important): 23 Role:Scientist Looks: Black hair, An entire eye he took off his head, semi-tan skin, moustache ending at where the eyes are on the horizontal axis, and a missing ring finger on his right hand donated to science. Personality?: (I don't know how to do this so instead I'll just do a backstory) Backstory: Was a scientis for 4 years until he got enlisted into the scp foundation for finding an anomoly, he worked well with people and cut off his ring finger when one of them told a joke about donating it to science. He then decided to get a surgery to remove his left eye for science. (also I plan to write about an scp that is this eye and hand later so eventually this may effect the plot) I also have 2 questions what site are we working at and should I get a blinking and inventory penalty?
