  3. In this challenge, there will be 24 starting Nichelings. Each pair will either have a different gem color or combo. There is a way to make custom gem colors, and you can look it up. You will choose one island, and your nichelings will not move islands. Each pair should have a male and a female, however they must be infertile. You can customize the genes however you want. Note you will need console commands for this challenge, so back up your save file (to open up the console, press F1. You may need to press ALT + F1 on some computers). The goal of this challenge is to fight your nichelings until 1 remains- they will be the winner! You may then move islands and prepare 24 more nichelings. Somebody told me you can only start with 9 nichelings in sandbox mode. If this is the case, create those 9 nichelings and get started. Breed until you have 24, then use the switch gender command to have those pairs. Make sure your nichelings are not infertile at this time. After you have the 24, you can optionally set them as infertile. Disable rogue male spawns. Set the time as baby, teen and child to 1, and adult to 100, -When 2 nichelings meet, they perform an action. -Starting food + nest material is 0. -The strongest + smartest nichelings are alpha, the weakest are omega. -If the generator says the nicheling dies, use "DeleteOccupant". -If a nicheling gets food, use "ChangeBerryCount <number>" and use RNG to decide the number. -If a nicheling takes damage, use "TakeDamage <amount>" -If a nicheling gets sick/poisoned, add the effect using "AddStatusEffect <effect name>" -Wanderers can be recruited by your Nichelings to help- betrayal might happen! Roll 1-3 every day on an RNG, and if you land a 1, use the generator to decide your nicheling's fate. -Use my generator - https://perchance.org/vvn0jnzode -If you have questions, I'll gladly answer them -Show me your playthroughs!

  6. This challenge is loosely based off of harp seals. Set the amount of days spent as a baby to 12. Mothers will leave after that 12th day, leaving the baby to fend for itself. Try to get water body, fishing tail, and webbed hind legs on your creatures. (Or just do this in sandbox settings and have the baby thing be the only challenge.) Is there are any suggestions on how I could make this more harp seal-y, please suggest them. ^ ^

  7. This is a challenge based on the lifestyle of a grey wolf. Requirements Create or have the game generate your breeding pair. They should be set to alpha. They are the only two who can breed. Start on whatever island you like. Only permanent nests. Wolves often spend an entire season at their den, so it can't be temporary. Set age to whatever you like and/or prefer. I recommend setting child to be much longer than usual, this challenge becomes very hard otherwise. How to play: Your breeding pair are the only ones who can breed. Breed your breeding pair. This child or children becomes your first litter. Any other pups born before the first pup becomes a teen is also part of this litter. Any pups born after your first pup becomes a teen is the second litter. Once all the pups of your first litter reach adult, choose one to 'disperse' to somewhere else. They either leave the island or on very large maps (i.e archipelago) they must establish a different territory away from their birth home. Your dispersal nicheling should then locate a mate, and they become the next breeding pair. Good luck!

  8. This is a pretty basic challenge. You have to add the color code for black into your color file #000000 and then have all your Nichelings always have black gemstones. That way, if you aren't super careful you won't know how much energy a Nicheling has left.

Despite it not being Niche related, I wanted to share it with you Enjoy? Edit: Orion is the blue, red, gray and black one. Megatronus is the gray and red one

  13. Welcome to my random story based play through. I have 35 screenshots (so far) to post and write about. I used cheats to fix up my starting pair (the digging trunk and hind legs) so this save file uses cheats (i also gender swapped some male babies). So anyways let's get started. Name pronunciation is Row-row and Lay-sue Part One, Day One - Lasu As we ran, the stepping stones collapsed behind us. Roro would be fine if he fell in the water- I would never surface. I flinched as the water lapped at my feet. It was making the stones slippery and hard to get a good grip on. But we were almost there, far away from the fires that engulfed our home. The savanna was safe one moment, and our family burning up the next. All that mattered was that we were close. Roro was in front of me, and made the final leap to shore. I followed his lead and- "Eek!" My feet scrabbled on the dirt, trying to get a hold. Roro noticed and quickly pulled me up. I looked around- there was a berry bush and an oak tree. We were here- this would be our new home.

  14. Part One, Day Three - Lasu After we settled in, I decided I wanted to start a family- restore what was left of our tribe to its former glory. Roro agreed to mate with me, and I scouted for nests. When I was unsuccessful, I returned and set up a nest. I was excited- what would my child be like? For now, I lay down and sleep.

  16. What about a tail gene? Like Skimmer Tail? Since raptors have flat, somewhat feathery tails to keep balance and help them move faster? Well, some raptors, not all of them. But still.

  17. It’s a pretty cool dinosaur simulator game. It’s not released yet, but you can pay $20 to get it on mobile and PC, at least for the demos and full release. If you have mobile, though, you can get the Character Customization and Map Exploration demos for free.

  22. Rules 1. You start with 5 nichelings, they have to be nichelings you had in the past. They could just be random creatures you have screenshots of, or they could be some of your favorite nichelings. They just have to have died, and they absoloutely CANNOT be one your gods/goddesses. As the revived creatures believe that they were brought back by the gods. 2. Any nicheling born in the tribe are believed to be reincarnations of past nichelings, even if they aren't. Wanderers are thought to be living their only life. 3. Every nicheling believes that they have their own purpose, leading the tribe, unlocking certain genes, leading everyone to a new island etc. I might make a generator for these, but I think it's more fun to come up with them yourself. 4. Try to reincarnate one of your gods/goddesses every island. When you get something similar, or even almost exact, the nicheling gets immortality until you move two more islands. You might even get new gods/goddesses in the process. I have more rules I'm thinking of, but I just wanted to get this posted first.

  23. Since we've been blessed by an artificial invasion of wanderers, there might aswell be a challenge about it. Naturally, no children. Any island with hot to moderate temperatures will do. 30 was a good lifespan for normal challenges, so I'd recommend 50, Predators x2-3, enviroment 0. No healing. Additional rules: -- limited console use. Pick a good trait and a bad one. Then have a generator roll for "0", "1" and "2". 0 is no new trait. Alternatively, if you have warrior names, fix 2-3 traits to the name. "Lighteye" might be blind or shortsighted. Dapplefrost should have spots on white fur, Sterlingclaw better strenght, etc. -- seasons! That's right, less food for the one pawed army. In all seriousness, try a simplified version: For every 8 days with access to berries, restrict use for 4. Hunt prey or crack nuts, but no fruit. You can add or remove resources from that, but counting days too much isn't fun. No unlimited fridge. Unfortunately, food points only hold so long. Give yourself a maximum: 5 food for every nicheling, no more. What to do with your new free time? Collect nesting material. Once you reach 500, the challenge is complete.

  24. They scratched at their ear. They wondered how they got here. But they didn't really care. They would stare at what they presumably thought was the sky. They chuckled. They would start biting their paw. They felt the need for something... They didn't know what they wanted, but they knew they wanted it.

  31. here wo go: Scourge sucks. Bad Mapleshade was not in the right? i dont know why people think that she was? she killed people, like-what? her kits died-well okay, go talk to the MANY other cats who's kits died and they still stayed good cats: Ferncloud, Nightwing, Nightcloud (ish?), Squirrelflight, Fernshade, Yellowfang, Tallpoppy, and many others cats her mate lied to her and she got rejected, okay, and?: Thrushpelt, Stormfur, Reedwhisker, etc-all cats who were rejected by someone they liked/loved, but they never went insane and killed anyone. Thrushpelt is the best boy, he would never kill anyone basically: Mapleshade sucks and she was NOT in the right, she did make an interesting villain (mainly in Crookedstar's Promise) but the cats she killed didnt deserve it (except for Appledusk, god, i hate Appledusk) Blackstar is my favorite character next to Sandstorm and Brightheart, i just-really like him, and honestly, Tigerstar II and Rowanstar are doing a real crappy job at keeping Shadowclan together, if you're going to resurrect anyone (why Tigerstar II? just, why?) do it with Blackstar, he knew how to keep his clanmates in line Crookedstar's Promise and Moth Flight's Vision are my favorite books, mainly because Moth Flight and Crookedstar are just good characters, but there are a lot of other reasons too. These books delved quite a bit into not being accepted, even by the one's you love. How you just cant seem to make yourself fit in, and everyone views you as useless or a burden all because of something you cant control. I also related a lot to their struggles with their mothers (Windstar and Rainflower), as my mother was also VERY harsh and unforgiving growing up. My experiences and the ones in these books felt eerily familiar. I read Moth Flight's Vision when i was 13, and the fact that Windstar started to treat her daughter better and admit her flaws gave me a lot of hope that my life could turn the same way. Rainflower, on the other hand, gave me a similiar burning hatred that i do for a lot of characters. I was mentally berating her every chapter for treating Crookedstar the way she did, and i sympathized with him so much. When she died, i expected myself to be relieved, but instead i was right along with Crookedpaw. The way that Rainflower so similiarily acted like my mother made me realize that i didnt hate her. Her dying hit me like a truck, along with the realization that i still loved my mother, despite all that she did to me. I felt just like Crookedpaw. I love Crookedstar, honestly :') I also related to Moth Flight quite a bit, mostly because of how everyone viewed her as useless. I had a lot of trouble paying attention and learning when i was younger, so Moth Flight really spoke to me. She found her worth in being a medicine cat, and ultimately did one of the most important things in clan history-discovering the Moonstone. Also, Micah was great. I loved him, such a good boy, i cried at his death- this is long enough, so i might talk about more later

  33. I see this is a very old post, but I found it when searching for any other suggestion posts duringthe Community 1.1 Update Suggestions. Perhaps this is a better place to mention it than a new thread. I am slightly Protanopia colorblind and moderately deuteranopia colorblind. Both are called "red / green" colorblindness. I don't have tritanopia (yellow / blue) colorblindess, so I can't address your original question unfortunately. I'm not very far into the game, but the main issue I'm running into the minimap. I have a hard time separating... well nearly everything other than empty space. I can do it, but it isn't something I can do at a glance. Hopefully this example helps. 1.a (my ship), when near the planet is a similar color. 1.a and 2 (green(?) resources) are difficult to see the differences between. 3 (red(?) resources) and the world are probably the hardest for me, especially on the orange(?) background. It's all just similar color schemes. Is it at all possible to allow us to define the resource colors on our own? Maybe with hexadecimal values? I can see them just fine when flying around, it's just on the map. The only other issue I could think of is maybe the logic gates using red/green for off/on. Right now they aren't an issue for me personally, but I've always liked the idea of red for negative and blue for positive. As a side note, maybe this site can help identify issues? https://www.color-blindness.com/coblis-color-blindness-simulator/ Thanks for considering these issues.

  36. Part Eleven, Day Twenty-Six—Queen’s Mate Onoko It was a few days after I became blind when Rahzere gave birth to a child. “Ugh,” she groaned. “A son. Here, take it.” A bundle of fur was thrusted into my paws. I could hear her walk away, towards the shore. “Hi,” I said the the bundle of fur. It mewed, and I nearly dropped it—uh, him. “I, uh—I’m not really sure how to take care of kids
” I managed to feel my way into the nest and settled my son beside me. “I guess I have to give you a name.” The fur-bundle snuggled into my belly, searching for milk. I nudged him away from my stomach—there’s no milk here. “What about...Pnuma?” The baby mewed very loud, making me jump. “I guess you like that, huh?” The child—Pnuma—mewed again, and almost instantly began to snore. Pretty soon, I was probably snoring too. (p.s. Pnuma is pronounced noo-muh) ~ ~ ~ It was morning again. I couldn’t see the sky, but Pnuma was awake. He was tugging on my ear, trying to play. Aww. Then I heard Rahzere coming. I had learned to recognize her by her footsteps—light, but strong and fierce. I instantly straightened up and curled my tail around him to protect Pnuma (he promptly began to chew on it). “ONOKO!” She called my name strict and loud. “It’s time we move on to a new island.” What? A new island?! I liked the one we lived on now...but I couldn’t defy her, so I kept quiet. “I’m going to gather the rest of you.” She said ‘you’ as though she was disgusted that she’d have to bring males with her. “Meet me at the east side of the island with him.” She was probably referring to Pnuma, but if she gestured to him at all, I obviously couldn’t see it. There’s a port there.” “Yes, my Queen.” I wish I didn’t have to come. But I don’t want to get hurt. And I don’t want Pnuma to get hurt, either. Rahzere walked away in the direction of Niit and Enkra. I was just settling back into the nest with Pnuma—my son is too young to walk long distances quite yet—when I heard someone heading my way, from the Unknown. The footsteps stopped. “Onoko!” I paused, astounded. “...Mii?” “ONOKO!!!” Suddenly there was fur rubbing against my face in a nuzzle. “But— Rahzere might see you—!” “Oh, I’m fine, don’t worry! She left to go talk to Niit and Enkra.” She paused for a quick moment before barrelling on. “So, how are you?! It’s been so long! The last time I saw you Rahzere was sending me out and I was crying and Father was crying and you were crying but you were being brave and then I couldn’t see you anymore and then I went and cried myself to sleep in the rain and wished Mother were here even though she was mean to me (I guess I wish she was a good mother and treated us and Father and Niit and Enkra and even Plithhrin and Ique even though they’ve been off on hunting adventures all my life) and then when I woke up I stopped crying because Father was there and he gave me a lovely necklace of le—OH MY GOODNESS ARE YOU BLIND AND IS THAT A BABY.” She went off track so abruptly that it took me a moment to respond. “Uh, yeah...Rahzere made me be her mate...and I refused.” Mii didn’t respond, but Pnuma mewed to her. Mii started mewing back. “Uh
? Anyways, what did Father give you?” “Oh YEAH!” She mewed one more time to Pnuma before continuing our conversation. “He gave me this special necklace of these cool red leaves leaves and told me that he made it when he was on his home island and always wore it around his neck his whole life but his big fluffy neck fur hid it and he gave it to me because he decided I would lead my descendants home and if his family saw his necklace they’d know we belonged there so when I have a daughter and she becomes Queen she’ll take the necklace and then her daughter will have it and her daughter will have it and on and on and on to INFINITY or until we get home.” How she said that all in one breath, I do not know. “Oh...kay?” “WAIT THERE’S MORE! If I’m supposed to be Queen like Father said and have my daughter become Queen and on and on then Rahzere can’t be Queen and she’s gotta go anyways because she’s treating you badly so I’ve come up with the genius plan to kill her!” She said this so...cheerfully. “Wait...kill her
?” “Yep! It’s the only way we’ll get to live happily, so she’s gotta go! I’m gonna kill—” “Woah woah woah.” I covered Pnuma’s ears. “Don’t talk about this in front of him. You can...do it. Just don’t do it in front of him, okay?” “Oh! Yeah! Sorry. See ya later!”
